Located just steps from Yuquan Temple and surrounded by bamboo groves, it offers unobstructed views of the ancient spring and temple rooftops. Guests can enjoy tea ceremony workshops or quiet moments sipping Longjing tea in the courtyard. The hotel also provides free shuttle service to the scenic spot and hosts weekly Zen meditation sessions, creating a peaceful retreat rooted in local culture and nature.

The most convenient way is to take Hangzhou Metro Line 1 to Longxiang Bridge Station, then transfer to Bus 7 or the dedicated shuttle to "Yuquan" stop—just a 3-minute walk away. Alternatively, e-bikes or taxis offer direct access (approx. 20 minutes), passing through scenic West Lake routes. For those driving, the hotel features ample parking with smart navigation support. During summer, lake cruise transfers are available, allowing a relaxing water approach to the site, enhancing the overall journey experience.

Visitors can participate in Song Dynasty Tea Ritual Reenactments beside the spring, learning traditional Gongfu tea preparation using fresh Longjing leaves. Weekly Zen Meditation Workshops at Yuquan Temple guide guests through breathwork and natural sound immersion, embodying the philosophy of "echoes of the spring, stillness of the heart." Additionally, intangible cultural heritage paper-cutting sessions let travelers craft intricate designs of the Ten Scenes of West Lake using red paper. These immersive activities reflect Hangzhou’s deep historical and ecological roots.

Hangzhou Yuquan Hot Spring Resort is ideal for families, offering a children's pool, family game room, and pet-friendly rooms. The resort provides family packages including breakfast, hot spring access, and entrance tickets to Yuquan Scenic Spot. On-site, there’s a mini farm and nature trails where kids can feed deer and observe fish. Parents can unwind in mountain-view hot springs, while all rooms feature safety fittings and smart voice assistants for added peace of mind during multi-generational stays.

The optimal time for photography and serenity is between 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM, when morning mist gently hovers over the spring, casting golden ripples on the water and echoing temple bells. Early visitors can join the hotel’s guided sunrise photography tour, led by professional photographers capturing light and composition. Evening hours (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM) also offer stunning visuals, as sunset hues blend with red-tiled rooftops, creating a warm ink-wash painting effect perfect for slow strolls and contemplation.

Beyond classic Hangzhou cuisine, try Yuquan Old Street Teahouse’s Spring Dew Spring Rolls and Braised Perch with Meigancai, sourced from nearby organic farms. Don’t miss the Longjing Shrimp Dumplings, where delicate sweetness of fresh Longjing tea infuses soft dumplings with savory shrimp. For an authentic taste of local life, visit the Springside Night Market, featuring freshly grilled glutinous rice balls with osmanthus wine and steamed lotus root stuffed with red bean paste. Qiushui Villa

Staying in the 'Wen Qin Ge' room was such a highlight—inspired by Shen Qiushui, one of the founders of Qiushui Villa, the room's warm beige tones perfectly reflect her gentle yet elegant personality. The antique zither in the room beautifully ties in with the name 'Wen Qin Ge,' creating an authentic atmosphere that truly transports you back to her tranquil days here. The bedroom opens directly onto a spacious balcony with breathtaking views of West Lake—perfect for sipping wine at sunset or enjoying a quiet morning with the mist rolling over the water. Our group—Joyce, Polly, Xiao Pan, and Xiao Jiang—were all blown away by the serene vibe and exceptional hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. It’s not just a stay; it’s an experience. I’d absolutely come back again, and highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for peace, beauty, and genuine warmth.

West Lake Roxanne

Staying at West Lake Roxanne felt like discovering a hidden gem tucked away in the heart of Hangzhou’s most serene corners. Nestled right across from Yuhu Bay—a quiet, lesser-known spot that feels like a secret escape—the property offers effortless access to iconic sights like Prince's Bay, Su Causeway, and Flower Harbor View, all just a short walk away. The vibe is peaceful, with the gentle embrace of San Tai Mountain nearby, making it feel like nature’s own retreat. With only 15 rooms, each one thoughtfully designed with unique character—my favorite was the starlit room with its skylight, where I spent an evening lounging in the bathtub, counting stars with my kids under a clear sky. Inside, top-tier air purifiers and eco-friendly toiletries add a layer of comfort and wellness. The ground floor has a cozy reading nook where I sipped coffee and lost myself in a novel. But the real highlight? The outdoor infinity pool with constant temperature—perfect for unwinding with friends, soaking in warm water while sipping wine as dusk settles over the lake. The staff are genuinely attentive, offering personalized breakfasts and thoughtful suggestions for off-the-beaten-path hikes like the route to Yunqi Bamboo Path or Jiu Xi. It’s rare to find such intimacy and quality in a boutique stay—especially when you’re so close to nature yet still within reach of city charm. If you’re after a peaceful, stylish, and truly memorable base to explore the quieter side of West Lake, this place is unforgettable. Just book early—it fills up fast, especially for those special rooms.

Pujing Yuanju (Hangzhou Xihu Longjing)

Staying at Pujing Yuanju was an absolute delight! The room was spacious, bright, and incredibly comfortable—perfect for unwinding. What stood out most was the dedicated tea area; I spent both mornings and evenings sipping tea while chatting with friends, soaking in the sunshine. The only minor thing missing was a table inside the room, but that wasn’t an issue since the shared spaces were fantastic—multiple cozy tea lounges with all the essentials, plus an open-air courtyard ideal for relaxing, grilling, or even gathering around a fire to brew tea. It was the perfect time of year too—full of blooming osmanthus flowers, filling the air with their sweet fragrance. The weather was flawless, and the whole vibe felt serene and authentic. This place truly captures the essence of quiet luxury in Hangzhou’s countryside. Definitely worth returning.

Pins De La Brume Hotel

Staying at Pins De La Brume Hotel in Hangzhou was an absolute delight. The moment I stepped into the courtyard, I was greeted by a peaceful serenity that instantly relaxed me. The room was immaculately clean and offered a stunning view of the distant mountain-top temple — serene and picturesque. The underfloor heating kept the room perfectly warm without being too hot, and the air purification system ran quietly, so it never disturbed my rest. Staff at the front desk and my personal concierge were incredibly attentive and thoughtful — they made sure every need was met with genuine care. During New Year’s holiday, when ride-sharing and buses were restricted near the scenic area, the hotel arranged a shuttle to drop us off right at the entrance, which was incredibly convenient. Everything was seamless and well-organized. This place isn’t just comfortable — it’s truly special. A perfect blend of tranquility, luxury, and exceptional service. I’ll definitely be returning.

Sunday Sunny Resort

This was hands down the best booking of our trip—booked early before prices went up, and the value for money was outstanding. Nestled on San Tai Mountain, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat with fresh air and stunning natural surroundings. The nearest bus stop is at Yu Qian Temple, but we actually preferred walking to Wugui Tan to try the rowboat ride—unfortunately, it was canceled due to weather, but we made up for it by taking a scenic water bus from Guo Zhuang Pier to Hua Gang Guan Yu. The views along the way were absolutely beautiful. After exploring Hua Gang Guan Yu, we returned via the Xiao Lian Qing Feng line from Su Di Pier, which dropped us right at Yu Qian Temple Station—perfect for heading back to the hotel. One small downside: limited food delivery options nearby, but overall, the experience was flawless. This place truly delivers comfort, convenience, and charm.

Grand Metropark Hotel

My stay at Grand Metropark Hotel in Hangzhou exceeded all expectations! The concierge, Xiao Su, was incredibly attentive and proactive—she reached out before check-in with helpful tips and made sure everything ran smoothly during our visit. Any minor issues we had were addressed immediately and professionally, which truly made us feel valued. The hotel’s location is fantastic—just steps away from major attractions and local eateries, and public transport is super convenient. While some facilities show their age, the cleanliness and overall condition are excellent, and nothing detracted from the comfort of our stay. With such a great balance of value, service, and convenience, this hotel offers outstanding quality for the price. I’d definitely book here again on my next trip to Hangzhou.

Atour X Hotel Ding'an Road Yintai West Lake Hangzhou

Staying at Atour X Hotel Ding'an Road Yintai West Lake Hangzhou was an absolute delight! The room was immaculately clean and fresh, immediately making me feel at home. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and attentive—always ready to help with anything I needed. Location-wise, it’s perfect: just a short walk to West Lake, Hefang Street, and all the local hotspots. What truly stood out? Returning late at night to find a warm bowl of congee and some light snacks waiting for me. In the middle of winter, that simple gesture brought such a cozy, heartwarming feeling. The hotel also has a full laundry service with both washing and drying machines—plus, they’ll even collect your clothes when you’re out, which is seriously thoughtful. The only tiny hiccup? The TV wouldn’t turn on, and the remote seemed unresponsive. But if you don’t rely on TV, it’s not a dealbreaker—just ask the front desk for help. Overall, this place offers incredible value, comfort, and genuine hospitality. I’d happily come back in a heartbeat.

We Garden Hotel

We stayed here the night before a hiking trip to Taiziwan Park with our kids, and it was an absolutely perfect choice. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere—clean, quiet, and thoughtfully designed. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, offering helpful tips about nearby trails and even checking in on the children’s comfort throughout the stay. What truly made it special? Our son, who rarely comments on hotels, came up to me after breakfast and said, 'Mom, this place is awesome—can we come back?' That alone says it all. It's so close to the park, just a short walk or quick metro ride away, making our morning hike super convenient. The room was spacious, well-lit, and had everything we needed. For families looking for a peaceful, authentic stay near nature, this is definitely a top pick. We’ll be returning!

Blooming Lotus Hostel

Staying at Blooming Lotus Hostel was an absolute delight—far beyond my expectations. From the moment I checked in to the smooth check-out process, everything was seamless and welcoming. The room matched the photos exactly, and honestly, it looked even better in person. Little details everywhere showed real thoughtfulness—especially the owner's beautiful calligraphy, which added a unique charm. The complimentary oranges were fresh and delicious, a sweet surprise. The only minor downside was slightly thin walls, but it didn’t disrupt my sleep at all. I’ve already recommended this place to friends and will definitely be back. A hidden gem with heart and style.
