Check-in was a bit stressful at first, but the on-duty manager handled everything with great empathy and professionalism. After a calm conversation, the issue was resolved smoothly—and they even surprised me with afternoon tea, evening entertainment, and a bottle of wine. The next day’s airport transfer was excellent too; driver Andy was friendly, courteous, and helped carry my luggage without being asked. We had a pleasant chat throughout the ride. A few suggestions for improvement: the afternoon tea selection was limited, and the fruit—especially the watermelon—wasn’t very fresh. Dinner options were also quite narrow. The room stayed chilly despite running the heater all night—temperature barely reached 15°C, so adding a heating option would be helpful. Also, breakfast was missing some items, and they weren’t replenished promptly. That said, the overall experience was still positive. The staff responded quickly to feedback, and the views from the room were stunning—especially sunrise in the morning. One small disappointment: no capsule or instant coffee available, which is common even in budget hotels. Adding that would make the stay much more convenient for guests who rely on coffee.

This stay completely exceeded my expectations! The room was spacious and flooded with natural light—waking up to the morning sun felt incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating. Janice, the staff member who assisted with check-in, was warm, professional, and incredibly efficient—no long queues or delays. Dinner at the fourth-floor riverside restaurant was a highlight: the ambiance was serene and romantic, with breathtaking views of the city lights across the water. The cuisine was authentic Fujian-style, beautifully prepared and full of flavor—every dish stood out. Breakfast was equally impressive, offering a wide variety of options from local favorites to international choices. The entire property felt quiet and well-maintained, creating a perfect retreat for relaxation. Whether it’s for a weekend getaway with friends or a peaceful escape, this hotel delivers comfort, charm, and excellent value. I’ll definitely be back.

Marco Polo Xiamen

Staying at Marco Polo Xiamen was an absolute delight from start to finish. The value for money is outstanding—this level of luxury and service for the price is truly impressive. From the moment you walk in, the elegant lobby with live piano music sets a warm, welcoming tone. The staff at the entrance greet guests with genuine politeness, making you feel instantly at home. Check-in was smooth and friendly, with staff who were attentive, efficient, and always smiling. I especially appreciated Wendy—her professionalism and attention to detail made a big difference. The room itself was spotless, well-appointed, and fully equipped with essentials like a fridge, kettle, and hairdryer. Everything felt clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. After a full day exploring Gulangyu Island, I didn’t even want to leave the hotel—I just wanted to stay longer. This experience exceeded all expectations. If you're visiting Xiamen, this is definitely a top choice. Highly recommend it!

Staying at Xiamen Xinan Yihao Hotel was an absolute highlight of my trip to Xiamen. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk from the train station and within easy reach of the airport, making travel arrangements seamless. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was impressed by the bright, elegant design that set a sophisticated tone for the whole experience. The room exceeded my expectations—clean, comfortable, and even more stylish than the photos online. The bedding was plush, the bathroom spotless, and the attention to detail in the decor really made it feel like a premium stay. Breakfast was a real treat: fresh, varied options with a standout highlight being the freshly cooked sacha noodles—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The coffee was smooth and satisfying, just right to kickstart the day. The staff, especially Manager Chen and the front desk team, were warm, attentive, and always ready to help—genuine hospitality that made a difference. And the neighborhood? Amazing. There’s no shortage of great local eats nearby, especially the famous Linxi Barbecue stall right across the street—perfect for late-night bites after a long day. If I ever come back to Xiamen, this will be my first choice. A top-tier hotel with unbeatable value and a welcoming vibe.
