I traveled with my dog, and due to a shipping company mix-up, he arrived in Xi’an earlier than expected. I reached out to the hotel for help, and Sha Sha immediately stepped in to pick him up. When I arrived late at night, my pup was calm, happy, and showed no signs of stress. Even better, she had already cleaned his travel carrier, provided plenty of food and fresh warm water, and made sure everything was ready for his comfort. The housekeeping staff were equally attentive—when I returned from taking my dog out for a walk midday, the room was spotless and freshly tidied. Everything felt thoughtfully cared for, down to the smallest detail. This place truly values pets and their owners, offering not just accommodation but a real sense of home. Platinum wan'ao Victory Hotel

Our 8-day self-drive trip across Shaanxi ended with a stay at Platinum Wan'ao Victory Hotel in Xi'an, and overall, it was an excellent choice. The location is incredibly convenient—right across from Hepingmen Metro Station, just a 50-meter walk away, making public transit access seamless for exploring the city. The hotel faces the ancient city wall directly, and it’s only about a 1.7-kilometer stroll to Yongning Gate if you want to walk along the wall—a pleasant way to enjoy the historic surroundings. Upon check-in, the front desk proactively upgraded us to a larger room, which made a big difference: spacious enough to comfortably unpack and move around, and ideal for family travel. Cleanliness was spot-on, meeting standard expectations without any issues. One minor drawback is the parking situation—being a multi-level garage, it’s not the most user-friendly, especially for larger vehicles, though my compact car navigated it easily. Breakfast was decent but not particularly impressive by luxury hotel standards—nothing overly elaborate, and we didn’t receive a third breakfast for our parents, which was slightly disappointing since this was one of only two hotels on the entire trip that didn’t offer it. Still, considering the excellent location, helpful staff, room comfort, and overall value, it’s hard not to give high praise. For travelers prioritizing convenience and a solid base in central Xi’an, this hotel is a strong recommendation.

The room was immaculate, spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—perfect for a restful night’s sleep. Breakfast was a highlight: generous buffet with a great mix of local and international options, all fresh and well-prepared. What really stood out was how attentive the hotel team was when I accidentally left my phone behind after check-out. The manager promptly helped reissue my access card and even coordinated with housekeeping to retrieve my item—such thoughtful service that truly went above and beyond. Location is convenient, close to major attractions, and easy to reach via public transit. This level of care and comfort makes it a must-stay choice for any visit to Xi’an. Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight! Located right in the heart of Xi'an, it’s just a short walk from Bell and Drum Tower, the Muslim Quarter, and all the hidden gems around town—perfect for exploring on foot. The staff, especially our host Star, were incredibly warm and welcoming; they even gave us a little gift when checking out—such a thoughtful touch! Every evening, there’s a complimentary sweet soup served as part of the “goodnight” ritual, and the afternoon tea buffet is a lovely treat. Water bottles are available on every floor with no limits—super convenient. I also appreciated the 6th-floor laundry room, which comes equipped with detergent so you don’t have to bring your own. The room layout is fantastic: spacious, well-designed, and features a full-length mirror that makes getting ready a breeze. Everything about this place feels thoughtfully put together. Highly recommend it to friends and travelers looking for comfort, charm, and great value in a central location.

XI’AN DAJING CASTLE HOTEL

The hotel exceeded my expectations—no issues at all, despite some online reviews suggesting otherwise. The front desk staff and housekeeping team were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the stay feel warm and welcoming. As a long-standing five-star property, the facilities are top-notch and well-maintained. Location-wise, it’s absolutely perfect—just steps from the old town, with easy access to the ancient city wall and the bustling Muslim Quarter. Walking to local street food spots is a breeze, and the metro station right outside means commuting to work is fast and hassle-free without needing a taxi. I especially loved the ground-floor coffee—it’s way better than any takeaway I’ve had lately. There’s also a great selection of authentic local eats nearby, giving the area a real local vibe. If I ever bring my family on a trip to Xi’an, this will be my first choice again. Highly recommend for both business and leisure travelers.

Sofitel Xi'an on Renmin Square

This was my second stay at this hotel, and I’m happy to say everything lived up to expectations—plus, I got upgraded to a larger room! The suite is spacious with excellent layout and well-maintained amenities. The only minor issue was the hot water in the bathtub—it didn’t get quite hot enough for my taste. Breakfast was a highlight: the local Xi’an dishes had authentic flavor, though not overly standout; however, the Western breakfast options were impressive—fresh, varied, and high quality. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—just a short walk from the Bell and Drum Towers, and very convenient access to the Wukou Metro Station. The surrounding area has plenty of dining options and daily necessities. Overall, a fantastic experience with great value for money. I’ll definitely be returning when I come back to Xi’an.
