This was hands down the best hotel of my entire European trip. Staying in a room with a private balcony was an absolute highlight—the view of the Arno River from the terrace every morning was pure magic. I started each day by walking along the riverbank, passing through Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, and ending at Piazzale Michelangelo for panoramic views of the city. Florence truly lives up to its reputation as a cultural gem, and this hotel sits right in the heart of it all. The location is perfect—walkable to major sights and just steps away from transit. Breakfast was exceptional: fresh, abundant, and thoughtfully curated with local flavors. Everything felt special, from the elegant ambiance to the attentive service. If you're looking for a memorable stay that blends comfort, convenience, and authentic charm, this place delivers on every level.
My wife and I spent a memorable weekend at this stunning B&B, and every moment was absolutely perfect. From the very first step, we were greeted in a dreamlike reception area with a warm welcome drink that set the tone for our stay. The staff were incredibly helpful, offering thoughtful recommendations on local attractions and dining spots—perfect for crafting a romantic itinerary. We stayed in the Fossey suite, which was spacious, elegant, and beautifully themed around the jungle concept. The furnishings, including unique antique pieces throughout both the room and common areas, created an immersive experience that felt like stepping into another era. Located just a 10-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella station and equally close to the historic city center, it’s ideally positioned for exploring Florence without hassle. The neighborhood is peaceful yet vibrant, with plenty of great restaurants nearby. Breakfast was delivered to our room with a wide variety of high-quality, delicious options—such a lovely way to start the day. If you're looking for a romantic getaway in beautiful Florence, this place is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!
I'm really glad I found this accommodation in Florence—truly a gem for group travel. It's within walking distance to almost everything, including just a 5-minute stroll to the main SMN train station, making transit super convenient. We traveled as a group of eight and had one extra room unused, which was perfect since the apartment features five bedrooms and four bathrooms: three with private en-suite bathrooms on the main floor, and two more on the upper level—one with an ensuite. The kitchen is well-equipped with a full-sized fridge, oven for reheating leftovers, and even a dishwasher. All essential utensils and dinnerware are provided, so we didn’t have to worry about anything. That said, the unit does feel a bit dated, and cleanliness could’ve been better—there were minor issues like the balcony door not latching properly, which let mosquitoes inside. But the host made up for it with their kindness and flexibility; they allowed us to stay a little longer to wait for our train to Rome, which was incredibly thoughtful. Despite a few small imperfections, the location, space, and hospitality truly made the experience worthwhile. A great choice for families or groups looking for a homey base in the heart of Florence.
Staying at The Blacksheep B&B in the heart of Florence was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, Frederico made us feel welcome with a warm and genuine greeting. Though there are several flights of stairs to reach the apartment, Frederico kindly offered assistance—no stress at all. The space is thoughtfully designed with three rooms, a cozy shared lounge, and a breakfast area where guests help themselves. Frederico even checked in to see if we had any dietary needs—such a thoughtful touch. We stayed in the triple room, which was spacious and beautifully appointed, complete with a large walk-in shower, double sinks, and a small fridge stocked with tea and coffee supplies. It’s incredibly convenient for travelers arriving by train—the station is just a short walk away—and you’re also within easy reach of major sights, restaurants, and shops. The vibe is relaxed yet welcoming, and the location can’t be beat. If you’re comfortable with a few steps, this is a top-tier choice. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a homey, authentic stay in Florence.
I had to share my experience at this incredible hotel – the service was absolutely outstanding. From the moment I arrived, every staff member went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. They helped with luggage, offered local tips, and checked in on me throughout my stay without being pushy. The location is perfect – just a short walk from the city center and surrounded by amazing restaurants and charming streets. My room was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed that made falling asleep easy. The bathroom was modern and well-equipped, with excellent hot water pressure. What really stood out was how genuinely warm and attentive everyone was – it felt like staying with friends rather than a hotel. For the quality, price, and location, this place is unbeatable. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Florence.
What can I say? This apartment is absolutely magnificent! From the moment we arrived, it felt like home—charming, spacious, and cozy with thoughtful décor and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The kitchen is fully equipped, making self-catering easy and enjoyable, and the self-serve breakfast was generous, varied, and especially delightful thanks to the homemade pastries. Our host Claudia was exceptional—friendly, responsive, and incredibly attentive. She offered fantastic local tips for exploring Florence, from hidden gems to must-try eateries, and even left little sweet surprises in the apartment each day, adding a special touch to our stay. The location strikes the perfect balance: quiet enough to enjoy peace in the mornings, yet just a short walk or transit ride away from the historic center. Every detail, big and small, made our experience unforgettable. We’re already planning our return visit and would recommend this B&B with absolute confidence—300% without hesitation!
We were absolutely delighted with our stay at G&G Firenze Suites—truly one of those rare finds where everything exceeded expectations. The location is unbeatable: within walking distance to all major sights and just steps from the main train station, making exploration effortless. Gusi and Giuseppe made us feel right at home with their warm, relaxed yet attentive hospitality. After breakfast chats, Gusi would regularly send thoughtful messages recommending local restaurants or hidden gems we wouldn’t have found on our own—such a personal touch. Breakfast was outstanding—whether you wanted something light and simple or a hearty spread, it was all fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Our room was the highlight: spacious, modern, impeccably clean, and filled with high-quality furnishings. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, and every detail mattered—from the proper hairdryer and mini coffee machine beside the kettle to the premium toiletries. Even when we forgot our toothbrushes, there was a spare set waiting for us—so considerate! The rooms are well soundproofed, so no noise from other guests or common areas. That said, since the hotel sits on a busy street, earplugs (provided free of charge) are helpful for blocking outside traffic noise—but honestly, we barely noticed them and slept like babies. A perfect blend of comfort, charm, and thoughtful service. Thank you, G&G, for making our Florence trip so memorable.
This is our third spring in a row visiting Florence and staying at San Pier Novello. Every time has been lovely and we will be happy to return again. The rooms are charming and comfortable, breakfast is homemade and exceptional, and the hosts are kind and accommodating. The location is perfect, away from the city center but easy to access everything. An incredible value considering how expensive lodging in Florence can be. If you want your Florence experience to feel magical, book your stay at San Pier Novello.
Staying at Villa Cora was an absolute delight from start to finish. The central courtyard is breathtaking—perfectly designed with a timeless elegance that makes you feel like you're in a hidden gem of Tuscany. Located on a hillside, it’s a bit removed from the main tourist spots, but not too far—just a short, scenic run down to Piazzale Michelangelo, which made for a lovely morning workout with stunning views along the way. Currently, there’s only one restaurant on-site, serving breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was excellent—fresh, varied, and beautifully presented. Dinner was enjoyable but nothing extraordinary. What truly stands out is the exceptional service: staff are attentive, warm, and genuinely go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. The outdoor pool area is serene and perfect for relaxing, and I imagine dining by the water would be even more magical at sunset. Despite being slightly off the beaten path, the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful setting, and top-tier hospitality make this hotel a standout choice. Highly recommend for travelers seeking authenticity and charm.
St. Regis Florence is housed in a stunning historic building with an elegant, old-money vibe—every corner feels like a masterpiece, adorned with intricate frescoes and antique furnishings. The Arno River view from my premium room was absolutely worth the price, offering a perfect sightline to the iconic Ponte Vecchio. While the service from my butler was somewhat average (and unfortunately no kids' bathrobes or slippers were provided), the overall experience still shines. I especially loved the morning room service—delivered in a charming little basket, the bread rolls were crisp, fresh, and delicious. It’s rare to find such a blend of heritage charm and luxury at this level, and despite minor oversights, the ambiance, location, and attention to detail make it a truly memorable stay. If you’re looking for a refined, timeless Italian escape, this hotel delivers on every front.
Staying at Sina Villa Medici was an absolute delight. The room was incredibly comfortable, with a plush bed that made for a restful night's sleep. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the heart of Florence, with easy access to major attractions like the Uffizi Gallery. The staff were warm and attentive, even offering personalized recommendations for local dining spots. I appreciated how thoughtfully designed the space was, blending historic charm with modern comforts. This isn't just a hotel—it feels like a home away from home. If you're visiting Florence, this is definitely one of the top choices. I'll be back.
Nestled on a quiet hill overlooking Florence, Villa Tolomei Hotel & Resort offers a serene escape with breathtaking views and an authentic 16th-century countryside charm. From the moment you step into the property, you're greeted by elegant architecture and thoughtfully preserved historical details that transport you back in time. The rooms are beautifully designed, impeccably clean, and exceptionally comfortable—perfect for a restful stay. Every facility is well-maintained, and the attention to detail is clear throughout. The staff truly stands out: warm, professional, and attentive, especially a Japanese manager whose leadership clearly sets a high standard. Whether it’s check-in, housekeeping, or dining service, every interaction feels personalized and genuine. It’s rare to find such a peaceful yet convenient location—close enough to explore Florence’s heart but far enough to enjoy tranquility. This isn’t just a hotel; it’s a memorable experience. If you’re looking for authenticity, comfort, and exceptional hospitality in Tuscany, this is one of the top choices.
