The Place Firenze

This hotel completely exceeded our expectations—small, charming, and impeccably clean. From the moment we walked in, every detail felt thoughtfully designed. The room was cozy yet spacious, with plush bedding that made for a restful night’s sleep. What really stood out? The Dyson hairdryer in the bathroom—such a thoughtful touch, especially for travelers who care about quality. The restaurant served delicious meals with beautifully curated tableware, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We appreciated how attentive they were without being intrusive. Location-wise, it’s just steps away from the city center but tucked into a quiet alley, so you get both convenience and peace. Our whole family loved it—the kids even asked if we could stay longer! If you're visiting Florence, this is hands-down one of the best choices. It's not just a place to sleep—it feels like home.

Hotel Indigo Florence

The hotel is located just a 5-minute walk from the train station, but navigating the uneven cobblestone streets with luggage can be quite challenging—especially since there’s no elevator at the entrance. I had to carry my bags down steps right after arriving, which was tough with heavy suitcases. The room I was assigned faced the street, so some noise from traffic was noticeable, but it didn’t ruin the experience. What really stood out was the exceptional service—warm, efficient, and welcoming throughout check-in. The room was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed despite its compact size. It’s clear that attention to detail matters here. For travelers who value hospitality and a central location, this place offers a great balance of comfort and convenience in Florence.

Grand Hotel Adriatico

Staying at Grand Hotel Adriatico in Florence was an absolute highlight of my trip. The breakfast was exceptional—fresh, diverse, and full of local flavors I couldn’t get enough of, especially their homemade pastries. The front desk staff were incredibly professional, friendly, and always ready to help with any request, making check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free. The room itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable—perfect for a restful night’s sleep after exploring the city. What really stood out was the location: just a short walk from major attractions like the Duomo and Uffizi Gallery, and surrounded by great cafes, shops, and restaurants. Everything I needed was within easy reach. It’s rare to find such a well-balanced hotel—great service, cleanliness, convenience, and charm—all at a fantastic value. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to fellow travelers.

Starhotels Tuscany

This was easily the best hotel I stayed at during my trip across Europe. The rooms are spacious, with a lovely bathtub—perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. We were three people and still had plenty of room to move around comfortably. The breakfast spread was excellent—abundant, high-quality options that kept us energized throughout the day. Although it's a bit further from the city center, getting there from the main train station is super easy via the T2 tram (just 13 minutes), and the ride is smooth and direct. I personally prefer staying outside the crowded, noisy old town—many historic hotels in the area feel cramped and dark, but this one offers a calm, modern atmosphere with great natural light and thoughtful design. If you value comfort, space, and convenience without the chaos, this hotel is an absolute must-try.

Villa Cora

Staying at Villa Cora was an absolute delight from start to finish. The central courtyard is breathtaking—perfectly designed with a timeless elegance that makes you feel like you're in a hidden gem of Tuscany. Located on a hillside, it’s a bit removed from the main tourist spots, but not too far—just a short, scenic run down to Piazzale Michelangelo, which made for a lovely morning workout with stunning views along the way. Currently, there’s only one restaurant on-site, serving breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was excellent—fresh, varied, and beautifully presented. Dinner was enjoyable but nothing extraordinary. What truly stands out is the exceptional service: staff are attentive, warm, and genuinely go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. The outdoor pool area is serene and perfect for relaxing, and I imagine dining by the water would be even more magical at sunset. Despite being slightly off the beaten path, the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful setting, and top-tier hospitality make this hotel a standout choice. Highly recommend for travelers seeking authenticity and charm.

The Excelsior, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Florence

This was hands down the best hotel of my entire European trip. Staying in a room with a private balcony was an absolute highlight—the view of the Arno River from the terrace every morning was pure magic. I started each day by walking along the riverbank, passing through Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, and ending at Piazzale Michelangelo for panoramic views of the city. Florence truly lives up to its reputation as a cultural gem, and this hotel sits right in the heart of it all. The location is perfect—walkable to major sights and just steps away from transit. Breakfast was exceptional: fresh, abundant, and thoughtfully curated with local flavors. Everything felt special, from the elegant ambiance to the attentive service. If you're looking for a memorable stay that blends comfort, convenience, and authentic charm, this place delivers on every level.

The St. Regis Florence

St. Regis Florence is housed in a stunning historic building with an elegant, old-money vibe—every corner feels like a masterpiece, adorned with intricate frescoes and antique furnishings. The Arno River view from my premium room was absolutely worth the price, offering a perfect sightline to the iconic Ponte Vecchio. While the service from my butler was somewhat average (and unfortunately no kids' bathrobes or slippers were provided), the overall experience still shines. I especially loved the morning room service—delivered in a charming little basket, the bread rolls were crisp, fresh, and delicious. It’s rare to find such a blend of heritage charm and luxury at this level, and despite minor oversights, the ambiance, location, and attention to detail make it a truly memorable stay. If you’re looking for a refined, timeless Italian escape, this hotel delivers on every front.

Sina Villa Medici, Autograph Collection

Staying at Sina Villa Medici was an absolute delight. The room was incredibly comfortable, with a plush bed that made for a restful night's sleep. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the heart of Florence, with easy access to major attractions like the Uffizi Gallery. The staff were warm and attentive, even offering personalized recommendations for local dining spots. I appreciated how thoughtfully designed the space was, blending historic charm with modern comforts. This isn't just a hotel—it feels like a home away from home. If you're visiting Florence, this is definitely one of the top choices. I'll be back.

Anglo American Hotel Florence, Curio Collection by Hilton

Staying at the Anglo American Hotel Florence was an absolute delight. The hotel is incredibly well-located—just a short walk from the Arno River, about a 10-minute stroll to the train station, and a pleasant 20-minute walk to the Duomo. It’s also super convenient with a supermarket nearby for essentials. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in Florence—fresh pastries, local jams, and a great selection of hot and cold options. Dimora Palanca Boutique & Spa

Staying at Dimora Palanca Boutique & Spa in Florence was an absolute delight from start to finish. The hotel is incredibly quiet and private, tucked away like a charming villa—entry requires a simple ring at the door, which adds a nice sense of exclusivity. It’s just a short 5-10 minute walk from the train station, making travel into the city effortless. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful—always going the extra mile without being intrusive. I initially booked without breakfast through the platform, but to my surprise, breakfast was included in every room! The morning spread was fresh, delicious, and offered great variety. The whole experience felt luxurious yet intimate, with a perfect balance of comfort and elegance. Grand Hotel Minerva

The stay at Grand Hotel Minerva was excellent overall—great location, elegant design, and friendly staff. The only issue occurred on the first night when I was bitten while sleeping, possibly from something in the bed. I informed reception, but they couldn’t identify the cause. They did promptly replace all bedding, which helped resolve the problem. Since then, no further incidents occurred. While it was a minor hiccup, the hotel handled it efficiently. I’d still highly recommend this place—very comfortable, well-located, and great value for money.
