The Excelsior, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Florence

This was hands down the best hotel of my entire European trip. Staying in a room with a private balcony was an absolute highlight—the view of the Arno River from the terrace every morning was pure magic. I started each day by walking along the riverbank, passing through Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, and ending at Piazzale Michelangelo for panoramic views of the city. Florence truly lives up to its reputation as a cultural gem, and this hotel sits right in the heart of it all. The location is perfect—walkable to major sights and just steps away from transit. Breakfast was exceptional: fresh, abundant, and thoughtfully curated with local flavors. Everything felt special, from the elegant ambiance to the attentive service. If you're looking for a memorable stay that blends comfort, convenience, and authentic charm, this place delivers on every level.

Hotel Kraft

Staying at Hotel Kraft in Florence was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location is perfect—walkable to major sights and just a short stroll from the train station, making travel stress-free. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with modern comforts throughout. Breakfast was fantastic—rich buffet with fresh pastries, local cheeses, fruits, and hot options that hit the spot every morning. But the real highlight? The rooftop bar and heated pool. We were amazed by how warm the weather still felt in late October, so we actually took a dip under the Tuscan sky—seriously magical. The views of Florence at sunset are unforgettable. Clean, welcoming staff, quiet rooms, and a vibe that makes you want to stay longer. This isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s an experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Florence.

Hotel Boccaccio

I stayed at Hotel Boccaccio and was really impressed with the convenience and value. The single room was small but perfectly adequate for a night's rest—clean, cozy, and well-maintained. What stood out most was the delicious breakfast served in the café on the ground floor; it offered a great mix of hot and fresh options, including local favorites. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—just a short walk to the train station and all major attractions in Florence are within easy reach. Plus, there’s a vibrant market nearby with a food court full of tasty local eats. Everything you need is right outside the door. A fantastic choice for travelers who want comfort, location, and a bit of authentic Italian charm without breaking the bank.

Hotel Luxor Florence

Staying at Hotel Luxor Florence was a great value choice for exploring the city. The location is excellent—just a short walk from major attractions and close to the metro, making it super convenient. The room was clean, simple, and well-maintained, with everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. It's not luxury by any means, so don't expect fancy amenities or spacious interiors—but for the price, it's absolutely fair. In Florence, accommodation can get pricey fast, so this spot stands out as a smart, budget-friendly option. I wasn’t looking for anything extravagant, just a quiet place to rest after long days of sightseeing, and this hotel delivered exactly that. Highly recommend if you're traveling on a budget and want to be centrally located.

B&B Terrazza Belfiore

My girlfriend and I spent the Immacolata weekend in Florence and stayed at this absolutely wonderful B&B, run by the incredibly warm and thoughtful Gianluca. From the moment we arrived, it felt like home. Gianluca is a true host—kind, attentive, and full of great local tips, whether it was how to plan a perfect day exploring the city or where to find authentic, delicious Tuscan food. The breakfast was a highlight: fresh pastries baked daily, a variety of sweet treats, seasonal fruit, milk (including plant-based options upon request), cereals, savory items, and more—all laid out with care. The B&B itself is cozy, clean, and well-appointed, with spacious, comfortable rooms, excellent soundproofing, and super comfy beds and pillows. The heating system works perfectly, making it cozy even on cooler evenings. Location-wise, it’s ideal—just a 10-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella train station, and within easy reach of the city center. What truly made our stay unforgettable? On my birthday, Gianluca surprised us with a beautifully presented tiramisu complete with a little candle—such a thoughtful gesture that brought tears to my eyes. It turned an already amazing trip into something truly special. We were genuinely sad leaving the room, and I can already feel myself planning our return visit. Thank you, Gianluca, for showing us what real hospitality means—passion, grace, attention to detail, and genuine care for your guests.

Soggiorno Alessandra

I don’t usually stay in hotels or upscale places, so if you’re the type who expects luxury amenities, this might not be your cup of tea. But for those looking for a genuine, no-frills experience with unbeatable value—this place is a gem. Right across the bridge from Ponte Vecchio and just steps away from the best gelato in Florence, it’s perfectly positioned between major sights and local charm. You get the best of both worlds: convenience without the tourist price tag. The room was spacious—big enough for an extra bed and a desk—and cleaned daily, which was a pleasant surprise. There’s no formal breakfast, but honestly, the price makes that completely acceptable. Alessandra herself was incredibly warm and helpful, speaking fluent English and going the extra mile to make us feel at home. I’d absolutely stay here again—simple, authentic, and spot-on for the budget traveler.
