It’s also just a short walk to the Hyatt Beijing Wangjing, making it ideal for business travelers or those exploring the neighborhood. While the staff were very helpful with luggage despite the lack of elevators, check-in was a bit slow. Room cleanliness was decent overall, though I noticed some mildew on the ceiling—something worth mentioning. Still, I was upgraded to a clean room by 2 PM, which greatly improved my stay. The amenities are basic but functional, and the location really makes up for it. For a budget-friendly option with great access to food and nearby attractions, this hotel offers solid value.

I started my trip at the Atour S in Sanlitun for New Year’s Eve, then switched to this location the next day—what a seamless upgrade. As a loyal Atour guest, I’m always impressed by how thoughtful their service and room design are. The front desk lady with glasses was incredibly attentive—she even packed breakfast for me to enjoy later in the room. A very handsome staff member helped adjust the curtains in my room and gave me a quick demo of the Pro III features, which was such a nice touch. Located just steps away from the vibrant 798 Art District, it’s super convenient for exploring the galleries and cafes. Public transport access is great too. If you’re visiting Beijing, this hotel offers an unbeatable mix of comfort, style, and value. Definitely coming back.

I especially loved the loft-style room, which felt unique and cozy, with excellent cleanliness and strong heating, perfect for a chilly evening. Best of all, the hotel is literally steps away from the 798 Art District—walking to galleries, cafes, and street art spots is effortless. It’s such a great base for exploring Beijing’s creative heart. One small suggestion: adding body lotion in the bathroom would be a nice touch. Overall, the experience was outstanding, and I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Ambassador Mansion

Absolutely delighted with this stay! The location, cleanliness, facilities, and staff service were all outstanding. I've stayed at three hotels in the Jianguo area of Chaoyang District, and this is the first one that truly made me feel relaxed and comfortable. All three had similar prices, but Ambassador Mansion clearly stands out in every aspect. Breakfast was excellent—diverse, nutritious, and served in what looked like a nearby company cafeteria, but the quality was top-notch. There's a well-equipped gym, a laundry room, and several cozy lounges on the ground floor and second level where guests can enjoy free coffee, tea, and snacks. Just across the street is Jiangtai Metro Station, and right next to it is Yiditing Shopping Mall—plenty of dining and shopping options within easy reach. Everything is so convenient. I’ll definitely be booking here again on my next trip to Beijing!

The front desk staff are incredibly attentive and always prepared with anything you might need: chopsticks, insulated food bags, umbrellas, even a translation tool. Their responsiveness and warmth stand out compared to any other hotel I’ve stayed at across multiple countries. The room is spacious and comfortable, with a well-balanced mattress—firm enough for support but soft enough to feel cozy. Linens are crisp, clean, and smooth to the touch, while towels are fresh, plush, and branded with the hotel’s logo—such a nice detail. Breakfast is thoughtfully varied; the chef at the buffet line actually prepares different dishes each day instead of repeating the same menu, which keeps it interesting. While not fancy, the food is always satisfying, flavorful, and abundant—never left me hungry. On the ground floor, there’s a small convenience store, coin-operated laundry machines (they provide detergent pods and even loan drying racks), and vending machines offering everything from socks to power banks at great prices. Just across the street, 200 meters away, is Jiatai Metro Station on Line 14 (Exit B), leading directly into a bustling shopping center filled with restaurants, cafes, and stores—perfect for exploring. The housekeeping team is respectful and discreet—they always arrived after 11 a.m., never disturbed our rest, and cleaned thoroughly every time. The bathroom features a large walk-in shower area, though like most hotels in China, it lacks a toilet plunger—something that feels unusual if you’re used to Western standards, but completely normal here. Overall, this place exceeds expectations for its category. I’d absolutely return—this hotel truly delivers a high-quality, stress-free experience.

Sure, the room is more compact compared to other luxury hotels, but the view of the Liangma River from the window makes every moment feel special—so serene, so picturesque, I can’t help but linger by the window. The highlight? The lounge’s afternoon tea and dinner. The food is exceptional—rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and far beyond what you’d expect at many five-star properties. On New Year’s Day, I was delighted to see service staff Feng Xiangchao again. He remembered my preference for warm dishes and kindly heated up the seafood before serving—such thoughtful attention to detail. The next day, another team member, He Xu, took time to recommend the best desserts and gently reminded parents to watch the kids—small things that show how genuinely care about guests’ comfort. During dinner, I met a couple with their child, who shared they also make it a habit to visit a luxury hotel every weekend. After trying several places, they keep coming back to Kempinski—not just for the food or rooms, but because of the warmth, the genuine hospitality, and that sense of home. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a sanctuary. A place where stress melts away, and memories are made. This year, we’ve already booked our Lunar New Year stay.
