During my stay in Nanjing, I enjoyed all three meals at the hotel, which was incredibly convenient. No need to leave the property for dining—it’s a real plus. The location is outstanding: just 15 minutes to the Presidential Palace, and the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum is accessible via direct subway from the nearby Ming Palace Station. The room view is truly expansive—so impressive that I barely needed to take photos. The restaurant ambiance and food quality were excellent, as shown in the picture I took there. Dining at Jiangnan Zao was a highlight: the ingredients were fresh and top-notch. The pickled turnip with preserved vegetables was surprisingly delicious, the fish head incredibly fresh, and the sweet-and-sour ribs? Absolutely unforgettable. My friend devoured the stir-fried beef in no time—proof it was a hit! Bonus: guests staying at the hotel can enjoy complimentary room service from Jiangnan Zao—even if you’re not on the waitlist. Plus, the Christmas decorations were beautifully done, adding a magical touch to the entire stay. Honestly, I’m already planning my next visit—Shangri-La truly wins my heart every time.
