Upon check-in, the hotel manager personally upgraded my room and even had an air humidifier ready before I arrived—huge relief for me with respiratory issues, instantly making the space much more comfortable. The room itself was spacious, immaculate, and the bed was incredibly cozy. I loved using the well-maintained fitness center, indoor pool, and sauna facilities—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. On checkout, Ada Yang kindly handed me a thoughtful little gift, a lovely keepsake that made me remember this city fondly. The staff were consistently polite, attentive, and genuinely caring—service excellence at its finest. And let’s not forget the neighborhood: right outside the hotel, there’s a vibrant local food scene with authentic street eats around every corner. When we mentioned our preferences, she arranged a room change on day one and even upgraded us to a spacious family room with a 1.5-meter king bed. What stood out most? She personally helped move our luggage to the new room—so kind and considerate, especially after a long day exploring attractions. The location couldn’t be better: just steps from the bustling main street of Tang Paradise, with the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, Ba Bai Li Qin Cuisine, Wu Huang Feast, and Xi’an Concert Hall all within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious and abundant, offering great variety and quality. We stayed for three days during New Year’s holiday, and every moment felt relaxed and enjoyable. This hotel offers incredible value and comfort—definitely planning to return soon!

The location is perfectly balanced—conveniently central yet surprisingly quiet, which is exactly what busy professionals need. The ergonomic chair in the room made long work sessions comfortable, and the ultra-fast Wi-Fi connected instantly without any lag—perfect for late-night project crunches. I especially appreciated the thoughtful night turndown service: a soothing herbal tea and an eye mask left ready for me. The Serta mattress was heavenly—literally collapsed into it and felt my travel fatigue melt away. Breakfast was a highlight—freshly brewed coffee with rich aroma, plus authentic Shaanxi treats like roujiamo (meat sandwich) and hu la tang (spicy soup), all served by 7 a.m., so I could make it to early meetings without stress. Platinum wan'ao Victory Hotel

Our 8-day self-drive trip across Shaanxi ended with a stay at Platinum Wan'ao Victory Hotel in Xi'an, and overall, it was an excellent choice. The location is incredibly convenient—right across from Hepingmen Metro Station, just a 50-meter walk away, making public transit access seamless for exploring the city. The hotel faces the ancient city wall directly, and it’s only about a 1.7-kilometer stroll to Yongning Gate if you want to walk along the wall—a pleasant way to enjoy the historic surroundings. Upon check-in, the front desk proactively upgraded us to a larger room, which made a big difference: spacious enough to comfortably unpack and move around, and ideal for family travel. Cleanliness was spot-on, meeting standard expectations without any issues. One minor drawback is the parking situation—being a multi-level garage, it’s not the most user-friendly, especially for larger vehicles, though my compact car navigated it easily. Breakfast was decent but not particularly impressive by luxury hotel standards—nothing overly elaborate, and we didn’t receive a third breakfast for our parents, which was slightly disappointing since this was one of only two hotels on the entire trip that didn’t offer it. Still, considering the excellent location, helpful staff, room comfort, and overall value, it’s hard not to give high praise. For travelers prioritizing convenience and a solid base in central Xi’an, this hotel is a strong recommendation.

Our Huanxiang Suite, measuring 103 square meters, felt spacious and airy, making it incredibly comfortable for our family stay. The bedding was plush and fresh with no strange odors, and the housekeeping staff were consistently attentive—daily cleaning, plus a second tidy-up in the evening, which made a big difference. The staff on the executive floor were especially memorable: warm, patient, and genuinely thoughtful. They greeted my child by name each time and even brought over two small packs of chips just because he liked them—such a sweet, personal touch. The executive lounge snacks were also excellent—on our first night, when we were rushing to get ready, I stopped by for a quick bite. There was a good variety of options, and everything felt fresh and well-curated. Location-wise, this hotel is unbeatable—just across from the Tang Paradise Garden, a short walk to the lively Tang Dynasty Night Market, and close to Qujiang Book City. Everything is pedestrian-friendly, which is perfect for exploring the area at your own pace. The concierge at the lobby was outstanding—professional, efficient, and clearly experienced. A few words were enough for him to understand exactly what I needed, living up to the Gold Key reputation. Overall, while it might not be the flashiest hotel in town, the service quality ranks among the top I've experienced. It’s calm, respectful, and deeply considerate—everyone knows their role and executes it flawlessly. That level of consistency is rare. One small suggestion: please extend breakfast service a bit longer. We arrived around 10:30, and the serving station had already been cleared—plates and tongs were gone—even though food was still available. It left latecomers stranded without tools to serve themselves. A minor fix, but would make a big difference. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!

Staying at The Westin Xi'an was an absolute highlight of my trip to Xi'an. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the iconic Great Wild Goose Pagoda and the vibrant Datang Fubu Night Market. Whether you're out late enjoying the nightlife or heading out early for sightseeing, everything is within easy reach. Nearby shopping malls offer plenty of options for retail therapy, and it's super convenient to visit major attractions like the Terracotta Warriors and Huaqing Palace. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with a stunning atrium filled with ginkgo trees—perfectly golden during autumn, creating a breathtaking atmosphere. Despite being in the heart of the city, the place is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Cleanliness is top-notch, and the breakfast buffet offers a fantastic variety of both Western and Chinese dishes—all fresh and delicious. The staff are warm, attentive, and always ready to help. I was especially impressed by the complimentary museum exhibition on the lower level, which adds a cultural touch to the stay. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a memorable experience. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back.

HUALUXE Xi'an Tanghua by IHG

My first visit to Xi'an turned out to be an unforgettable stay at HUALUXE Xi'an Tanghua by IHG. The location is perfect—just a 10-minute walk from the bustling Datang Fubin Night Market, the Chang’an Twelve Hours experience, and the beautiful Daming Palace Park. No need for taxis; everything is within easy reach on foot. I was there during my birthday, and the hotel went above and beyond—surprised me with a delicious cake and even decorated the room with care. It felt truly special. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering a wide variety of options, including authentic local favorites like lamb stewed bread (yang rou pao mo), meat-filled buns (rou jia mo), Biangbiang noodles, and Zengao. Plus, the garden features two gorgeous peacocks that stroll around peacefully—perfect for photos. The room itself was spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable, with soft bedding and complimentary sleep aids like herbal pillows and sachets. The view outside the window was stunning, especially at night when the Big Wild Goose Pagoda lights up. I’d definitely come back again. Special shoutout to service staff Bingyue—so friendly, helpful, and attentive. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Xi'an!

Novotel Xi'an Daming Palace

Staying at Novotel Xi'an Daming Palace was an absolutely fantastic experience. The room was spacious, well-equipped, and immaculately clean—every detail showed great attention to hygiene and comfort. The staff at the front desk were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out a breeze. The hotel’s modern design and stylish ambiance made it perfect for snapping photos—great for social media or just personal memories. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better: just a short walk from the metro station, with shopping malls, local eateries, and major attractions like Bell Tower right nearby. We were able to explore the city easily without needing to travel far. Even the little touch of a complimentary gift from the staff (a half-sized souvenir) added a warm, personal feel. Overall, this place offers unbeatable convenience, comfort, and value—highly recommend for both business and leisure travelers.
