If I had known how great this hotel was, I wouldn’t have stayed at the Conrad next door. The room was spacious, brand new, and impeccably clean—every detail felt thoughtfully designed. The views were stunning, especially at night when the city lights came alive. Location-wise, it’s incredibly convenient—just steps away from dining, shopping, and public transit. Everything you’d want is within walking distance, making it perfect for exploring Hangzhou without hassle. They even offered fresh fruit upon arrival—a nice touch that made the stay feel extra special. Honestly, if I didn’t have to leave, I’d have extended my stay by two more nights. This is definitely my top pick for future visits to Hangzhou—would book again in a heartbeat.

Staying at Friendship Hotel Hangzhou (West Lake Branch) was an absolute delight. The location is incredibly convenient—just a 5-minute walk from the West Lake Music Fountain, and only a 3-minute stroll from Exit D of Longxiangqiao Metro Station on Line 1. There’s also a direct bus to Lingyin Temple just steps away, making sightseeing effortless. I booked a lake-view room, and it’s absolutely worth it—every morning and evening, waking up to the serene view of West Lake instantly lifted my mood. We arrived around 8:30 AM, and the staff member at the entrance immediately spotted us, rushed over, and helped carry our luggage despite the small steps leading to the front desk. We were planning to just drop off our bags, but the front desk agent, YY, kindly checked availability and offered early check-in—perfect timing since it was our wedding anniversary. She even called the revolving restaurant to confirm a table for dinner that night, and we were lucky enough to get one! After checking in, we headed out to explore, then returned around 5 PM to find our room beautifully decorated—such a sweet surprise, clearly arranged by YY. The buffet dinner runs from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM, and as a guest, we paid just 308 RMB instead of the regular 388—great value. The food was outstanding: unlimited Fo Tiao Qiang, and each guest received a generous large crab—huge and delicious. Breakfast was also served in the same rotating dining room, from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM, where you can enjoy fresh dishes while watching the sunrise over the lake—truly unforgettable. When we asked about extending checkout to 1 PM, YY happily accommodated it. And when we left, she handed us complimentary bath products—a thoughtful touch that truly made the stay special. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, polite, and genuinely helpful. If I ever return to Hangzhou, this hotel will be my first choice. Highly recommended!

The location is unbeatable—right next to the subway station, making it super convenient to explore the city. What truly stood out this time was the exceptional hospitality. With heavy luggage and feeling a bit sluggish, the front desk staff member Xiao Hu went above and beyond—he personally helped carry our bags up to the room. That small act of kindness made a big difference and really warmed my heart. The service, attention to detail, and overall atmosphere are exactly why I keep coming back. A truly memorable stay with genuine care from start to finish.
