HOTEL MYSTAYS Sapporo Aspen

This has easily been the best hotel experience I've had in Japan—comfortable, convenient, and incredible value for money. I've stayed in many Japanese hotels over the years, but this one stands out as the top choice. The room with a queen bed is slightly compact, but the mattress is a generous 1.6 meters wide—something you won’t find in many other hotels across Sapporo. That said, I’d strongly recommend going for the twin-bed option; it’s much more spacious and perfect for couples or travelers who prefer extra room. The location is unbeatable—just a 2-minute walk from Sapporo Station, right in the heart of the city. Everything you need is within easy reach: shopping, dining, public transit, and even a convenience store just steps away. Plus, they offer luggage storage, and the bath amenities are high-quality DHC products—such a nice touch. From start to finish, the whole stay felt seamless, comfortable, and truly worth every penny.

Keio Prelia Hotel Sapporo

Staying at Keio Prelia Hotel Sapporo for three nights was an absolute pleasure. The location is unbeatable—right across the street from Hokkaido University and just a short walk to the train station, making it super convenient for exploring the city. I booked a standard twin room, which offered just the right amount of space with clean, modern furnishings. The breakfast buffet was impressive—fresh, diverse, and full of local flavors I really enjoyed. In the afternoon, complimentary tea and coffee were available, perfect for unwinding after a day out. The on-site bathhouse stood out: spacious, well-maintained, with both hot springs and shower areas that felt luxurious. Everything about this stay felt thoughtfully designed for comfort and convenience. If I’m ever back in Sapporo, this will be my top choice again.

Hotel Keihan Sapporo

At first glance, the room didn’t impress me—furniture looked a bit worn, but after staying for two weeks, I grew to love it more and more. The Japanese hospitality here is truly exceptional; every staff member, from housekeeping to front desk, was genuinely attentive and professional—something I’ve missed in other cities where service teams often include non-native staff. The second-floor onsen-style bath is a real highlight, especially after a long day exploring Sapporo in winter. Stepping into the warm water after freezing cold weather felt like pure luxury. The central heating works incredibly well—the room stays cozy and comfortable all night. Hot water pressure in the shower is strong, which is always a plus. I’m already planning to come back next year for a month-long stay just to enjoy the snow and the peaceful vibe. This is hands-down my top choice for accommodation in Sapporo.

HOTEL MYSTAYS Sapporo Station

Staying at MYSTAYS Sapporo Station North Exit was such a great experience—especially the location. It’s incredibly convenient; just step out of JR Sapporo Station from the north side (west entrance), and the hotel is literally just a short walk away. Perfect for travelers with luggage, as it’s very straightforward to reach without any hassle. I also appreciated the complimentary self-service skincare products available in the room—DHC brand, which is always a plus since you can use them freely without worrying about waste. The north exit east side is currently under renovation, but if you’re traveling light and don’t mind a few steps, the underground passage offers a quick, sheltered route that cuts down exposure to chilly air by a couple of minutes. Even better: I arrived on a snowy day, and the city looked absolutely magical with fresh snowfall—everything felt cozy and scenic. This hotel truly delivers comfort, convenience, and charm all in one. Definitely planning to come back.

Hotel Sunroute Sapporo

Located in a super convenient spot, the hotel is just steps away from cafes, a supermarket, and a convenience store—perfect for grabbing essentials or a quick coffee. The front desk is on the second floor, and the staff were incredibly accommodating when I decided to extend my stay at the last minute. I was able to check out and immediately check back in without any hassle—such a thoughtful touch! The room was spotless, the bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and well-maintained. Everything about this stay felt clean, welcoming, and well-organized. With its great location and excellent service, this hotel offers outstanding value. I’d definitely recommend it and will be returning.

Sapporo Washington Hotel Plaza

Staying at Sapporo Washington Hotel Plaza was a fantastic experience. The room was spacious enough with a desk and chair—perfect for unpacking, working, or even enjoying a quick meal. One standout feature: the bathroom doesn’t require stepping over a threshold, which is surprisingly rare in Japanese hotels and made things much more convenient, especially with luggage or for elderly guests. If it’s rainy or snowy, you can easily access JR Station via the underground passage right across the street from the hotel—initially a bit confusing if you’re not familiar, but once you find your way, it’s super efficient. For sunny days, the most straightforward route is exiting JR’s North Gate, turning right, walking straight past the crosswalk, and spotting the hotel sign immediately. There are two nearby supermarkets for snacks and drinks—very handy. While bottled water isn’t provided, there are two daily time slots where you can use your room key to access free coffee and hot tea on the second floor. It’s a small touch, but appreciated. Overall, the location, comfort, and thoughtful details make this hotel a top choice. I’d definitely stay here again.

Toyoko Inn Hokkaido Sapporo-eki Kita-guchi

The stay was excellent—really enjoyed it! One of my favorite things was the self-check-in/check-out system, perfect for introverts like me who prefer minimal interaction. Even though it’s mostly automated, there’s always a staff member available at the front desk if you need help—great balance between independence and support. Breakfast can get busy if you’re down late, so I’d recommend grabbing it and eating in your room instead—it’s quieter and more comfortable. Location-wise, I was pleasantly surprised: you don’t even need to exit JR Sapporo Station’s north entrance. Just walk through an indoor passage near the exit, take a short stroll, then turn across the street—boom, you’re at the hotel. This was a lifesaver during snowy weather, especially when carrying luggage (I only discovered this shortcut on checkout day, lol). When checking out, I asked to store my bags, and they handed me a slip with a locker code—super easy self-service storage. No waiting, no hassle. Everything ran smoothly. The whole experience felt efficient, well-organized, and thoughtfully designed. Highly recommend for travelers looking for convenience, comfort, and smart logistics.

Villa Koshido Kotoni

Staying at Villa Koshido Kotoni in Sapporo was an absolute highlight! The location is unbeatable—just a 2-minute walk from Exit 1 of the Kotoni Station, making it super convenient for exploring the city. Around the station, you’ll find everything you need: a 7-Eleven, fresh produce shops, cozy izakayas, and even an Aeon supermarket open until 10 PM. For those who want to cook, there’s also a 24-hour Maxvalue supermarket nearby—perfect for late-night snacks or essentials. The villa comes with a fully equipped kitchen, though knives aren’t provided due to safety reasons. No worries though—just head up to the 3rd floor of the Aeon Mall and check out Daiso; you can pick up quality kitchen knives and scissors for under ¥100. Super affordable and practical. Overall, this place offers comfort, convenience, and great value—definitely my top choice for future trips to Sapporo!

Jr Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo

Staying at JR Sapporo Nikko Hotel was an absolute delight from start to finish. The service was exceptional—staff went above and beyond, even carrying my luggage up to the room and neatly placing it on the shelf for easy access. I was especially impressed by the spa, which is exclusively available to guests in the morning, so it’s never crowded and feels truly relaxing. I spent a peaceful moment lounging in a quiet corner, enjoying soft music and a refreshing ice cream—perfect way to unwind after a long journey. Breakfast was a highlight too: I tried both the Japanese-style and buffet options, but the Japanese meal stood out with its fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. Everything felt thoughtfully curated. Located just steps from the subway, it’s incredibly convenient for exploring Sapporo. This hotel offers an unbeatable mix of comfort, service, and value—I’ll definitely be returning.

Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo

Staying at Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo was an absolute highlight of my trip to Sapporo. The hotel’s location is unbeatable—right next to the train station and literally across from the famous Rokkatei flagship store, making it super convenient for shopping and getting around. There are also a convenience store and a Starbucks just steps away, so everything I needed was within walking distance. What really stood out was the onsen open until 9 a.m., which allowed me to enjoy a relaxing morning soak—perfect way to start the day. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and even had complimentary bottled water delivered daily. I worked remotely from the room throughout the day, and the Wi-Fi connection was consistently strong and reliable. Overall, this stay exceeded all expectations. I’ll definitely be booking here again on my next visit to Sapporo.

Keikyu EX Hotel Sapporo

Staying here for two nights was a great experience overall. The hotel is incredibly convenient—just a 2-minute walk from the north exit of Sapporo JR Station, right at the traffic light intersection. No confusion with directions. The lobby is on the second floor via the elevator, making access smooth and straightforward. The room was clean, well-maintained, and offered enough space for comfort. Free coffee and toiletries are available at the lobby area—super handy and thoughtful. Breakfast is served on the basement level (B1), and it's nice to see variety over two days—different options each morning, so it never gets boring. If you skip the breakfast package, there’s a nearby café just steps away. One of their breakfast sets (a coffee and toast combo) costs around 600 yen, and it’s a solid value. Food quality is good, and it’s a great alternative. All in all, this hotel offers excellent location, reliable service, and a comfortable stay. I’d definitely come back if I visit Sapporo again.

Jr Inn Sapporo

Staying at JR Inn Sapporo was an absolute breeze—right next to Sapporo Station with a direct, step-free walk from the entrance. No need to lug your bags through stairs or long corridors, which made everything so much easier. The hotel is perfectly located near convenience stores and a large shopping mall, making it super convenient for grabbing snacks or last-minute essentials. The room itself is compact but well-designed—comfortable for sleeping and easily fits a suitcase. I appreciated that you can choose from different pillow types at the lobby, which made a big difference in comfort. Breakfast options were limited—mainly yogurt and bread—but they were fresh and sufficient for a quick morning meal. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always smiling and ready to help. From check-in to checkout, the service felt warm and personal. This place truly delivers on convenience and comfort, and I’d definitely stay here again.
