Staying here with my family was a perfect choice—the suite layout is ideal for parents and kids. My child had their own room, so no noise disturbance at all, and both rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light. The bathroom facilities are clean, well-maintained, and modern. Breakfast was fantastic—plenty of variety, including fresh pastries, local dishes, and international options. We stayed in the room on the right side (as shown in the photo), which is easy to spot. I also checked out the gym—it’s spacious, well-equipped, and offers a great view. The breakfast wasn’t overly elaborate, but it was fresh and satisfying, especially given how affordable the overall price was. Any small request I had was handled quickly and professionally. The location is unbeatable—right near the Bell Tower, steps away from metro access and taxis. Plus, the nearby city wall adds a nice historical vibe. There’s ample parking, which is always a plus. One tiny suggestion: for solo travelers, adding a secondary lock on the door would make me feel even safer while sleeping. Overall, this hotel nails every detail—comfort, service, convenience, and value. It’s hands down one of the best stays I’ve had, and I’ve already recommended it to friends.

The fact that they offer free fan rentals is a game-changer for travelers from warmer climates like me—especially since the heating was already on during my visit, even though winter hadn’t fully arrived yet. While the nearest hotel is about a 700-meter walk away (which is manageable), the real advantage is the variety of dining options right downstairs—great for grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a meal without having to go far. Overall, the location, amenities, and service all add up to an excellent experience. Great value, great vibe, and definitely worth recommending.

My parents especially loved the afternoon tea service; after a long day of exploring, returning to a cozy corner with a warm drink and light bites was pure bliss. Platinum wan'ao Victory Hotel

Our 8-day self-drive trip across Shaanxi ended with a stay at Platinum Wan'ao Victory Hotel in Xi'an, and overall, it was an excellent choice. The location is incredibly convenient—right across from Hepingmen Metro Station, just a 50-meter walk away, making public transit access seamless for exploring the city. The hotel faces the ancient city wall directly, and it’s only about a 1.7-kilometer stroll to Yongning Gate if you want to walk along the wall—a pleasant way to enjoy the historic surroundings. Upon check-in, the front desk proactively upgraded us to a larger room, which made a big difference: spacious enough to comfortably unpack and move around, and ideal for family travel. Cleanliness was spot-on, meeting standard expectations without any issues. One minor drawback is the parking situation—being a multi-level garage, it’s not the most user-friendly, especially for larger vehicles, though my compact car navigated it easily. Breakfast was decent but not particularly impressive by luxury hotel standards—nothing overly elaborate, and we didn’t receive a third breakfast for our parents, which was slightly disappointing since this was one of only two hotels on the entire trip that didn’t offer it. Gran Melia Xi'an

Staying at Gran Melia Xi'an was an absolute delight from start to finish. The hotel's design is elegant without being overly flashy—very refined and modern. Our Huanxiang Suite, measuring 103 square meters, felt spacious and airy, making it incredibly comfortable for our family stay. The bedding was plush and fresh with no strange odors, and the housekeeping staff were consistently attentive—daily cleaning, plus a second tidy-up in the evening, which made a big difference. The staff on the executive floor were especially memorable: warm, patient, and genuinely thoughtful. They greeted my child by name each time and even brought over two small packs of chips just because he liked them—such a sweet, personal touch. The executive lounge snacks were also excellent—on our first night, when we were rushing to get ready, I stopped by for a quick bite. There was a good variety of options, and everything felt fresh and well-curated. Location-wise, this hotel is unbeatable—just across from the Tang Paradise Garden, a short walk to the lively Tang Dynasty Night Market, and close to Qujiang Book City. Everything is pedestrian-friendly, which is perfect for exploring the area at your own pace. The concierge at the lobby was outstanding—professional, efficient, and clearly experienced. A few words were enough for him to understand exactly what I needed, living up to the Gold Key reputation. Overall, while it might not be the flashiest hotel in town, the service quality ranks among the top I've experienced. It’s calm, respectful, and deeply considerate—everyone knows their role and executes it flawlessly. That level of consistency is rare. One small suggestion: please extend breakfast service a bit longer. We arrived around 10:30, and the serving station had already been cleared—plates and tongs were gone—even though food was still available. It left latecomers stranded without tools to serve themselves. A minor fix, but would make a big difference. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!

The Westin Xi'an

Staying at The Westin Xi'an was an absolute highlight of my trip to Xi'an. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the iconic Great Wild Goose Pagoda and the vibrant Datang Fubu Night Market. Whether you're out late enjoying the nightlife or heading out early for sightseeing, everything is within easy reach. Nearby shopping malls offer plenty of options for retail therapy, and it's super convenient to visit major attractions like the Terracotta Warriors and Huaqing Palace. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with a stunning atrium filled with ginkgo trees—perfectly golden during autumn, creating a breathtaking atmosphere. Despite being in the heart of the city, the place is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Cleanliness is top-notch, and the breakfast buffet offers a fantastic variety of both Western and Chinese dishes—all fresh and delicious. The staff are warm, attentive, and always ready to help. I was especially impressed by the complimentary museum exhibition on the lower level, which adds a cultural touch to the stay. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a memorable experience. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back.

HUALUXE Xi'an Tanghua by IHG

My first visit to Xi'an turned out to be an unforgettable stay at HUALUXE Xi'an Tanghua by IHG. The location is perfect—just a 10-minute walk from the bustling Datang Fubin Night Market, the Chang’an Twelve Hours experience, and the beautiful Daming Palace Park. No need for taxis; everything is within easy reach on foot. I was there during my birthday, and the hotel went above and beyond—surprised me with a delicious cake and even decorated the room with care. It felt truly special. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering a wide variety of options, including authentic local favorites like lamb stewed bread (yang rou pao mo), meat-filled buns (rou jia mo), Biangbiang noodles, and Zengao. Plus, the garden features two gorgeous peacocks that stroll around peacefully—perfect for photos. The room itself was spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable, with soft bedding and complimentary sleep aids like herbal pillows and sachets. The view outside the window was stunning, especially at night when the Big Wild Goose Pagoda lights up. I’d definitely come back again. Special shoutout to service staff Bingyue—so friendly, helpful, and attentive. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Xi'an!
