Staying at Casa Corazon de Plata Suites was an absolute delight. Nestled on a hillside just outside Guanajuato’s city center, this charming boutique-style property offers breathtaking views and a peaceful retreat from the bustling streets below. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and feel very welcoming—like home away from home. One of the highlights is the rooftop terrace with panoramic views, where they serve a delicious homemade breakfast at no extra cost—fresh, hearty, and full of local flavor. While there’s no elevator and you’ll need to climb several flights of stairs (including a beautiful spiral staircase to reach the roof), it’s totally manageable for anyone without mobility issues. The pool is stunningly designed and perfect for relaxing under the sun, even if the water is a bit chilly. Though there aren’t any shops or restaurants nearby, getting around is easy thanks to reliable ride-hailing services like Uber and taxis. The real win? Easy parking—something that’s often a headache in Guanajuato. The staff went above and beyond with their warm, friendly service, making us feel truly valued. If you’re looking for tranquility, great views, and authentic hospitality, this place is a must-visit.
Staying at Hotel Camino de Vinos was an absolute delight from start to finish. The room exceeded my expectations—just as beautiful as the photos, with a cozy and elegant vibe. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night's sleep. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Even the in-room massage was a highlight, leaving me completely relaxed. The staff went above and beyond with their warm, attentive service—always ready to help without being intrusive. One of the best parts? Wandering through the peaceful vineyards and surrounding gardens. It’s such a serene escape from city life, perfect for unwinding and recharging. While personal internet access isn’t available, the hotel offers reliable Wi-Fi throughout most of the property, which made staying connected easy. Overall, this place is a hidden gem—calm, charming, and beautifully designed. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil, authentic getaway.
This place exceeded all my expectations! Nestled in a quiet, scenic area of Guanajuato, the hotel feels like a peaceful retreat tucked away from the bustling city. From the moment I stepped into the elegant, art-inspired lobby to my cozy and well-appointed room, everything felt thoughtfully designed. The bed was incredibly comfortable—perfect for a good night's sleep after a day of exploring. What really stood out? The natural hot springs pool. Soaking in it at sunset with the surrounding landscape glowing in golden light was pure bliss. It’s also conveniently located—just a short ride to downtown Guanajuato if you want to explore the historic streets and vibrant culture. For a relaxing getaway with great value, this hotel is an absolute gem. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Staying at Hotel Camino Antiguo was an absolute delight. The two-bedroom apartment is beautifully decorated with authentic local charm, and being on the upper floor offers breathtaking views of Guanajuato’s vibrant cityscape. The shared kitchen is convenient for self-catering, and breakfast can be arranged upon request—perfect for a relaxed start to the day. The hosts are warm, respectful, and always attentive without being intrusive. Their kindness truly reflects the spirit of this amazing city. Every detail made our stay memorable, and I’d happily return in a heartbeat.
This place is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. The house is spacious and impeccably maintained, with stunning Hacienda-style architecture and thoughtful decorative details throughout. Pepe was incredibly attentive and always available to assist—his hospitality made our stay truly memorable. We were also introduced to Juan Carlos, who provided excellent local transportation and helped us explore the area effortlessly. Maria was consistently responsive to any questions or requests, adding a personal touch that made us feel welcome. The combination of charm, comfort, and genuine care sets this guesthouse apart. If you're looking for a unique, authentic experience in Guanajuato, this is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
We stayed at Hotel Boutique Ponciano in Guanajuato with my family to ring in the New Year. The location was excellent—just steps away from the event venue, which made it convenient for us. However, our experience turned out to be far from satisfactory. Right from the start, we struggled with basic amenities: the shower water was icy cold, and flow was barely noticeable—especially during winter, when you really need warmth. In another room, the sink wouldn’t drain properly, so water would just sit there after brushing teeth or washing hands—an unpleasant sight. The rooms had no heating system, and the small heater provided at reception did almost nothing to warm up the space. To make matters worse, the hotel has no parking facilities and offered no alternative solutions. For the first two nights, we had to pay $25 per hour at a nearby private lot—costing us a fortune. Later, we noticed a free public street parking spot right outside the hotel. We parked there and confirmed with local traffic authorities that tourists are allowed to use such spaces. Despite this, the hotel owner called us late one evening demanding we move the car immediately, claiming his presence required the spot. When we explained it was public parking and confirmed by officials, he dismissed us, threatening to remove our plates if we didn’t comply. We were frightened—not wanting to risk conflict with someone who likely had local connections—so we moved the car. Later, we returned with a traffic officer present, who confirmed the parking was perfectly legal. Still, we felt pressured into compliance due to intimidation tactics. Beyond the poor service, the owner’s behavior toward staff was extremely disrespectful—he shouted at an employee in front of guests, clearly frustrated over something we’d already been told wasn’t an issue. This lack of professionalism, combined with the subpar facilities, unreliable infrastructure, and overall disregard for guest comfort, makes me regret every moment spent here. I cannot recommend this hotel under any circumstances.
Staying at Hotel Murillo Plaza was an absolute delight. The location is perfect—just steps away from the heart of Guanajuato, with easy access to local attractions and restaurants. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, creating a clean, comfortable atmosphere from the moment we walked in. I never met the housekeeping staff personally, but their work speaks volumes—everything was immaculate, which tells me they’re doing a fantastic job behind the scenes. It’s clear this team takes pride in keeping the hotel shining. If you're looking for a quiet, clean, and centrally located stay in Guanajuato, this place is a must-book. Highly recommend it!
Staying at Villa Maria Cristina Hotel was an absolute delight from the moment we arrived. The property is breathtakingly beautiful, with elegant architecture and a refined aesthetic that exudes charm and character. Every detail reflects thoughtfulness—cleanliness, ambiance, and attention to service are all top-notch. It’s wonderfully quiet, making it the perfect retreat after exploring Guanajuato’s lively streets. The dining experience stood out too—the meals were delicious, beautifully presented, and made with high-quality ingredients. We only stayed one night, but it felt like a luxurious escape we never wanted to leave. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for a memorable stay in Guanajuato.
This has easily been the best hotel I've stayed at outside of beach destinations. Nueve 25 Hotel Boutique is small and intimate, with just a few rooms—each one incredibly clean, spacious, and beautifully designed. The high ceilings give a real sense of openness, and the soundproofing is excellent; you won’t hear any noise from the hallway or other guests. Every room comes well-equipped with air conditioning, a wall-mounted TV, a cozy sofa, a coffee table, a vanity mirror, and a hairdryer—everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location can’t be beat: right in the heart of Guanajuato’s historic center, all major attractions are within a 10-minute walk, and there’s no shortage of great restaurants and street food nearby. The rooftop area is a real highlight—perfect for relaxing with drinks or ordering snacks while enjoying views of the city. Staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to help. The only downside? Parking. The hotel mentions having its own private lot, but it’s not clearly marked or easy to access from the main entrance. We ended up using a nearby public parking garage, which costs around 250 MXN per day—fairly pricey, but manageable. Despite that, the overall experience was outstanding. Great value, exceptional ambiance, and a truly memorable stay. Definitely planning to return.
Staying at 1850 Hotel Boutique in Guanajuato was an absolute delight. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the city center and surrounded by great restaurants and local charm. The hotel itself blends historic architecture with modern comfort beautifully. From the stylish lobby to the well-appointed rooms, every detail feels thoughtfully designed. I slept like a baby—quiet, cozy, and peaceful. The staff were warm and helpful throughout my stay, making check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free. Even got a little welcome gift, which was a sweet touch. If you're looking for a unique, high-quality experience in Guanajuato, this place is a must-try. Highly recommend!
Staying at Sanbernabé Tres felt like coming home—warm, welcoming, and full of character. Rafael and Veronica went out of their way to make us feel special from the moment we arrived. Even though we were an hour early, they happily welcomed us and gave us a personal tour of their beautifully curated B&B, which they’ve lovingly built over the past two decades. Each room has its own unique theme, and we were delighted when they upgraded us to the Sirena Suite—especially since it was our honeymoon. The thoughtful gesture truly made the trip unforgettable. While the garden was under renovation, there were plenty of cozy common areas to relax in, including a charming dining room and quiet library. A small kitchenette with a mini-fridge was stocked with fresh coffee, toast, jams, sweet bread, and fruit for breakfast—a perfect continental start to each day. Clean filtered water and multiple strong Wi-Fi spots kept us connected throughout our stay. What stood out most was the sense of family. Rafael even took our car keys and parked our vehicle safely inside their gate while we explored the town, and when we returned, the car was waiting right outside—no stress, no hassle. Walking around at any time of day felt safe and peaceful. This wasn’t just a hotel; it was a heartfelt retreat that made us feel like honored guests in a close friend’s home. A truly memorable experience.
Staying at Casa del Rector Hotel Boutique completely exceeded my expectations. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the heart of Guanajuato, with plenty of local restaurants, shops, and historic sites nearby. The hotel itself has such a unique charm—sleek, modern design blended with traditional Mexican touches. Every room offers an incredible view of the city’s colorful rooftops and colonial architecture, especially beautiful in the morning light. I loved that breakfast was à la carte, so I could pick exactly what I wanted—fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It's rare to find a boutique hotel that combines comfort, style, and authenticity so perfectly. I’d definitely come back—and recommend it to anyone visiting Guanajuato.
