Staying at Chengye B&B in Guangzhou’s historic district was a delightful experience. Located right across from the famous Shiyi Xing clothing wholesale market in Yuexiu, the location is incredibly convenient—just steps from a bus stop and within easy reach of both Shamian Island and Beijing Road Pedestrian Street. The surrounding area is lined with charming old-style shophouses that give off a nostalgic, vintage vibe perfect for photography. While some of the furnishings are a bit dated, cleanliness is excellent—the rooms were spotless, and the bathroom felt fresh and well-maintained. The host was exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering great local tips on food spots and transportation options. They mentioned renovations are planned for the end of the year, so the place should only get better. Overall, this is a fantastic value-for-money stay in a truly authentic part of Guangzhou. I’d definitely return if I’m back in the city.

White Swan Hotel

Staying in the executive suite was an absolute delight. The room was spacious with a clear separation between the living and sleeping areas, offering a real sense of privacy. Everything was brand new and well-maintained—especially the bathroom with its efficient dry-wet separation and instant hot water. The executive lounge served excellent afternoon tea and evening snacks, both in quality and presentation. Despite being near the airport, we could hear planes overhead while walking outside, but inside the room, it was completely silent thanks to outstanding soundproofing. The view from the window was wide open, and natural light filled the entire space—really bright and welcoming. Attention to detail was top-notch, and the value for money truly exceeded expectations. The hidden gem was the small garden behind the hotel—lush greenery, peaceful and beautifully designed. Perfect for morning walks, post-lunch strolls, or relaxing in the evening. A small note: on our first morning, we had breakfast at the ground-floor restaurant. The staff welcomed us and asked what drinks we’d like, but then didn’t follow up with service. If they were busy, perhaps skipping the question would have made the experience smoother—just get the drinks to the table quickly instead. Overall, though, this stay was exceptional.

We stayed at LN Garden Hotel Guangzhou during the New Year holiday, choosing this long-established five-star hotel for its reputation and family appeal—my parents especially loved it. This year marks the hotel’s 40th anniversary, and the rich history, elegant ambiance, and exceptional service made our visit truly memorable. The location is incredibly convenient—right next to a metro station, which was great even if we didn’t use it daily. The garden area is peaceful and well-maintained, but what really stood out was the complimentary guided tour. At 2 PM, we were led by Mandy, a top-tier guide, who gave a detailed and engaging walkthrough of the facilities, including the fourth-floor museum. My mom was absolutely delighted—it was such a thoughtful addition, and I sincerely hope the hotel keeps this program alive. Service quality was outstanding throughout: warm welcome at check-in, dedicated staff operating elevators on every floor, and even personnel on duty at the lobby after midnight. On my birthday, they surprised us with a beautifully decorated room, a delicious cake (which was seriously one of the best I’ve ever had!), and Zoe personally helped carry my luggage up to the room. When there was a minor air-con issue, they responded immediately—even though it turned out not to be faulty, they still proactively opened the window for fresh air. That kind of care goes beyond expectations. Breakfast options were excellent too: three different venues across the ground floor, the 30th-floor revolving restaurant, and the Yuan Tao Hall. We stayed three nights and managed to try all three. Plus, the platform voucher included afternoon tea and happy hour—such an amazing value-add. Overall, this stay was everything we hoped for and more. Highly recommended.

A true landmark with over four decades of history, this classic five-star hotel has quietly witnessed China's reform and opening-up era. Its location is unbeatable—just steps away from Yuexiu Park, a 200-meter walk to the Nan Yue King Museum, and right across the street from Liuhua Center. The room, while modest in size, features elegant Chinese-style decor and exceptional comfort. I was especially impressed by the breakfast—fresh, diverse, and delicious. The service was outstanding, particularly Emily, who went above and beyond with her warm and attentive hospitality. Even though we only stayed one night, the experience left a lasting impression. For travelers seeking a quiet, authentic stay in Guangzhou with excellent value and charm, this hotel is absolutely worth considering.

We've stayed here for two consecutive New Year's Eves, and this year brought a special touch—our little dog joined us! The hotel went above and beyond by providing a cozy bed, bowl, and even a designated potty area for our furry friend. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made our trip so much more enjoyable. The front desk staff, Jasmine, was incredibly friendly and efficient—her warm welcome made a big difference. Located just steps away from Beijing Road, the hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the action. Shops, restaurants, and nightlife are all within walking distance. We loved every moment, and we’re definitely planning to come back again soon.

We booked four rooms for two nights, accommodating eight adults and two infants. The hotel kindly upgraded two of our rooms, which made a big difference in comfort and space—truly appreciated. Located right in the heart of the city, the hotel offers convenient access to everything we wanted to explore. Plus, having on-site parking was a huge plus since we were traveling by car. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond. Two team members immediately stepped forward to help carry baby strollers—such a thoughtful gesture that made our journey much smoother with little ones in tow. Special thanks to Yumi, who handled all our pre-arrival requests with care and professionalism. She patiently coordinated our room preferences and special notes, and her warm, attentive service made us feel truly valued throughout our stay. The hotel is very family-friendly: free cribs were provided, and there’s a small but well-equipped kids’ play area on the 8th floor. Our two young children had a blast playing there, giving us a chance to relax and enjoy some quiet time. It’s not massive, but perfect for little ones to burn off energy. Overall, the level of service, cleanliness, location, and attention to detail exceeded our expectations. If we ever return to Guangzhou, this will be our first choice without hesitation.

I arrived in a bit of a panic because I was short 40 RMB for a long and tiring taxi ride, but the concierge, Ricky, stepped out to cover the difference from his own pocket—something that truly doesn’t happen anywhere else. After getting some Chinese yuan exchanged, I was able to repay him right away. The entire staff went above and beyond with their kindness and professionalism. Even though I only stayed one night, the breakfast experience on the 45th floor was unforgettable—vast, delicious, and served with a stunning 360-degree view of Guangzhou. It’s not just a hotel; it’s a memorable experience. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the city, and I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for genuine hospitality and top-tier service.

Baiyun Hotel Guangzhou

My two-night stay at Baiyun Hotel Guangzhou was mostly a great experience, though it started with a hiccup. The first night was booked through a platform, and the business twin room had a strong odor that didn’t clear up even after hours of ventilation—seriously affected my sleep. On check-in for the second day, I mentioned the issue to Ms. Li Zhihong at the front desk, and she responded with genuine care and efficiency. She immediately upgraded me to a superior executive twin room on the 28th floor (room 2823), which made a huge difference. The room was spotless, bright, and well-maintained—exactly what I needed after a rough start. The housekeeping staff were friendly and responsive, always ready to assist. Breakfast at the 30th-floor buffet was excellent—wide variety, good quality, and well-organized despite the high turnout. The rooftop fitness center, sauna, and swimming pool are top-notch: clean, spacious, and professionally managed. Overall, the hotel exceeded expectations in many ways. Kudos to the team for turning a negative into a positive. Keep up the great work!
