Even though we couldn’t secure an additional room, she followed up promptly and made sure every step was communicated clearly. To my surprise, she upgraded my room and even left fresh fruit upon arrival. When I mentioned I’d be traveling with a child, she proactively arranged kid-friendly amenities, and the room came equipped with a mini-bar—thoughtful touches that really stood out. As a long-standing five-star property, the service level is consistently excellent. The location is unbeatable—right next to Wulin Night Market, and just a 10-minute walk to West Lake. On days when traffic restrictions made taxis hard to find, walking became the easiest option. Breakfast was generous in both variety and quality. Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations. The staff were warm and attentive, and the breakfast spread was generous and delicious. Definitely worth waking up early for!

My stay at Midtown Shangri-La Hangzhou was truly exceptional—far beyond my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the festive Christmas ambiance created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. The room was immaculate, thoughtfully decorated with attention to detail, and incredibly comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Dining options were plentiful and of high quality, with breakfast and dinner both delivering excellent taste and presentation. But what truly stood out was the service. Every staff member was attentive, polite, and genuinely caring. They even surprised me with a small thoughtful gift—such a nice touch. Special mention to Mike Zhang (Zhang Xinggang), whose professionalism, kindness, and genuine warmth left a lasting impression. He made me feel seen and valued throughout my visit. Overall, the hotel excels in every aspect—location, facilities, cleanliness, and hospitality. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s an experience. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Hangzhou.
