Antares by Center Hotels

Staying at Antares by Center Hotels in Saint Petersburg was a real highlight, especially given the price. Located on a quiet stretch of Nevsky Prospekt—less crowded than the main tourist spots—it's super convenient for getting around. Just steps away from a Pятерочка and Magnit convenience store, I never had to go far for essentials. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room came with all the basics—including air conditioning. The only things missing were a safe and bathrobe, but honestly, those aren’t dealbreakers when you’re only spending a few hours in the room each day. Cleaning happened just once during my four-night stay, but they did ask if I wanted it done, so no complaints there. I noticed the shampoo and shower gel weren’t refilled, which is a small oversight. There was some noise from a neighboring room, but again, not the hotel’s fault. Still, I’d give it a full 10/10 because of the value. At about 1,100 rubles per night, this is way better than what I used to get at capsule hostels—where the only plus was location, right near Moscow Station. This place offers comfort, convenience, and a great vibe for the price. Definitely worth it, and I’d come back without hesitation.

Nevsky Grand Apartments

This was our first visit to St. Petersburg, and we stayed at Nevsky Grand Apartments, which is perfectly located right on Nevsky Prospekt. The hotel has an elevator, which was a big plus since we did a lot of walking around the city. Although the front desk is just a small booth in the lobby, it didn’t interfere with our experience at all. We picked up breakfast vouchers the evening before and walked across the street to enjoy breakfast the next morning. The buffet offered three salads, three main dishes, and fresh coffee from a machine—everything was served in containers and warmed up in the microwave. No lines, everything on time, and very efficient. There’s a water dispenser on each floor with both hot and cold water, and the room came with glasses. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were on the 2nd floor, where the hallway had a sofa, two armchairs, and a table. A laundry board and iron were also available—very convenient. The room matched the description exactly, and cleanliness was excellent: towels were changed daily, and disposable toiletries were replenished regularly. The location is unbeatable—right across from the famous Pышка bakery, and nearby is a theater with performances starting from 500 rubles. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay and would highly recommend this place. Definitely worth a visit—St. Petersburg is awesome!

NordWest Guest House

Stayed at NordWest Guest House for one night and was thoroughly impressed. The staff were friendly and even offered to store our luggage before check-in and after checkout—very convenient. The room had recently been renovated, clean and fresh throughout. Daily housekeeping ensured everything stayed tidy. Breakfast was a nice buffet with good variety and quality. The only minor note: the room felt a bit cool in April, but there was a heater available. It took a moment for hot water to come through the tap (though no issue in the shower). Best of all, it's just a 2-minute walk from the metro and super close to Nevsky Prospect—perfect for exploring the city on foot. Great value, excellent location, and warm hospitality make this a top pick.

Baltic Butik-Hotel

This was our first stay at Baltic Butik-Hotel, and we were genuinely touched by the staff's warm hospitality—it felt like visiting family rather than checking into a hotel. The breakfast buffet is modest but more than enough for us. Every day, one of the staff members, Olga, baked delicious pastries that were absolutely heavenly 😍. One guest mentioned casually that she loved mushrooms omelet, and the next day it was waiting for her—such thoughtful service! We caught a bit of a chill from wandering around St. Petersburg, and when we asked if there was any lemon, they simply said, 'If you need it, it’ll be here,' and sure enough, we had lemon tea by morning. Some might say it’s not special, but even in five-star hotels, I’ve never experienced such genuine care. Everything you’d need—bathrobes, slippers, toothbrush with paste, shampoo, shower gel—is already provided in the room, completely free. That alone earns this hotel extra points! The actual place matches the photos on the website perfectly—the interior is beautiful, the renovation is fresh and tasteful, no worn-out vibes. The only small downside? No hooks in the entryway. Hanging outerwear in the small closet with your regular clothes isn’t ideal, especially during winter months. But honestly, that’s just a tiny detail in an otherwise outstanding experience. Thank you so much—we will definitely come back!

Guest Rooms at Marata 10

The stay at Guest Rooms at Marata 10 in Saint Petersburg was clean and comfortable for a good night’s sleep. However, the photos don’t quite match the actual room—there’s a noticeable difference in layout and overall appearance. If you're looking for a basic, no-frills place to rest with decent hygiene, it’s acceptable. But if you expect the room to look like the pictures (especially regarding space and design), you might feel a bit disappointed. I’d recommend managing expectations before booking, especially if visual accuracy matters to you.

Grand Hotel Emerald

After reading countless reviews on the platform, I finally chose Grand Hotel Emerald and was genuinely impressed. The entire check-in and stay experience was smooth and seamless—exactly what I hoped for. The hotel is spotless, with a fantastic breakfast that can even be delivered to your room if you prefer. Staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, with dedicated personnel helping with luggage, which made the arrival feel effortless. Located just a short walk from the train station, it’s convenient for getting around. While major attractions like the Hermitage, Church of the Savior on Blood, and the Great Bookstore aren’t right next door, walking along Nevsky Prospekt is part of the charm—there are so many little shops and cafes to explore along the way. One unique touch in our room was a signed artwork by a famous figure hanging above the bed—anyone else stayed in that same room? The only minor downside is the lack of in-room Wi-Fi, but honestly, it didn’t bother me at all—my phone hotspot worked perfectly fine. Overall, this place offers excellent value, comfort, and atmosphere. I’d definitely come back.

Helvetia Hotel

The Helvetia Hotel truly delivers an exceptional experience from start to finish. The service is impeccable—attentive, warm, and genuinely thoughtful at every turn. The room itself is well-equipped with modern amenities, and the heated towel rack is a game-changer; nothing beats stepping out of the shower to wrap yourself in a warm, soft towel. High-end toiletries add that extra touch of luxury, making the stay feel even more premium. Both on-site restaurants are excellent—the food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Breakfast may not have a massive variety, but each item is thoughtfully prepared and tastes fantastic. Location-wise, it's perfectly situated for exploring St. Petersburg, with easy access to public transit. Overall, this is a standout choice for travelers who value comfort, quality, and attention to detail. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight! The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the heart of Saint Petersburg, making it incredibly easy to explore the city on foot or by metro. The building itself feels like a former noble estate, with grand architecture and timeless elegance that immediately sets the tone upon arrival. What truly stood out was the attention to detail—the flower arrangements at the entrance were fresh and beautifully changed during my stay, even though I noticed them earlier in the morning. It’s clear that the staff takes pride in maintaining a warm, personalized touch throughout. Rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and the service is genuinely courteous and efficient.
