If I ever come back to Hunan, I’ll definitely book here again. One quick note: while Fire Palace is famous, don’t expect the same experience everywhere. We found that the free snacks like tangyuan (sweet rice balls) and stinky tofu were treated differently depending on where you went. At the business dining area, scanning the QR code got us a full serving with six toppings, but at the street food section, it was just three pieces with basic condiments—same brand, totally different treatment. It felt inconsistent, especially since both were free. Honestly, some random roadside stalls had tastier stinky tofu than their version. So if you’re craving local flavors, explore beyond the branded spots—sometimes the real gems are hidden in plain sight.

Despite ongoing renovations, service levels remain top-notch, and every staff member I interacted with was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Kudos to the team for keeping the standard so high. Unfortunately, I heard the hotel will be rebranding soon—making this stay feel even more special. This was my first time staying at Changsha Huatian Hotel, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Located right in the heart of the city, it’s just an 8-minute walk to Yuanjialing Metro Station, where both Line 2 and Line 6 are accessible. Line 2 takes you straight to Orange Isle and Yuelu Mountain, while Line 6 offers direct access to the airport—super convenient for travel. Right across from the hotel is the Hunan Provincial Theatre, and downstairs you’ll find Hua Tian Xiao Lu, a local favorite that delivers delicious food. Special thanks to Manager Xiao Yin for the thoughtful recommendations—I tried Tea Yan Yue Se and explored IFS Guojin Center, making the most of the area’s vibrant vibe. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. Housekeeping did a great job keeping the space clean and tidy. Staff were warm and proactive—they kindly pointed me to breakfast location and informed me about the complimentary swimming pool and fitness center. My friends who visited also praised the value and hospitality. Overall, this stay exceeded expectations, and I’m already planning to return.
