In the evenings, food vendors set up right across the street with tasty, affordable options. During the day, nearby shops offer decent meals at great prices, and local alcoholic drinks are sold cheaply just steps away—though be warned: they pack a strong punch! One of the highlights? A small shop just around the corner where I bought 5.5-liter water bottles for only 10 RMB. Trust me, carrying heavy water bottles through the city isn’t part of your vacation plan—this little convenience saved us a lot of effort. The host was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. We requested a drop-off at the airport on departure, and he made it happen seamlessly—huge relief with all our luggage. A special mention goes to Mr. Wang Jingwen and Mr. Xu Shengchao from the front desk. From the moment we arrived, their friendly smiles and welcoming attitude made us feel at home. They didn’t just handle check-in efficiently — they went above and beyond by sharing local gems like authentic Northeastern cuisine, tips on visiting the Siberian tiger exhibit, and even recommended scenic running routes along the Songhua River. Their knowledge and personal touch instantly made us feel connected to the city, not just as guests but as visitors welcomed with heart. The dining team also stood out, especially Ms. Wang Jinxia. At The Ritz-Carlton, they take care of it all upfront, which made my stay so much smoother. And then there’s David, my personal concierge—extremely professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful. He recommended Sakura Terrace, a Japanese restaurant that perfectly matched my partner’s taste.
