The location is excellent—right next to Xinghai Square and just steps away from bus stops, making it super convenient for exploring the city. The room itself was decent overall, but unfortunately the TV wasn’t working, and I couldn’t get screen mirroring to work either, which was a bit frustrating. Also, the room was adjacent to the linen storage area, and I could hear the washing machine running late into the evening—around 10 PM—which disrupted my sleep. While the price point is fair, in the same range, I’d say another chain like Home Inn Business offers a better experience in terms of quietness and room quality. Would definitely recommend improvements on both the technical setup and noise insulation for future guests.

The laundry room is a game-changer: equipped with commercial LG machines that handled my down jacket without issue, and the dryer left it fluffy and warm. That’s rare and seriously appreciated on a long trip. Staff were attentive and friendly throughout our stay, and the breakfast spread was diverse and delicious—great mix of local and international options. Clean, well-maintained rooms, thoughtful touches, and excellent value. I’d definitely book here again if I return to Dalian. Staying at Ji Hotel Dalian Xinghai Park was an excellent experience from start to finish. The hallway is quiet and well-lit, making the walk to the room comfortable and safe. The room itself was spotlessly clean, with excellent hygiene standards—everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The smart toilet was a nice touch, and the shower provided consistent water temperature, which made for a relaxing bath. I also appreciated the high-quality toiletries—scented and effective. Breakfast was a highlight: a generous buffet with a wide variety of options including pastries, savory dishes, fresh salads, and drinks. Everything was freshly prepared and well-presented. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the housekeeping team went above and beyond with their attention to detail. Located just steps away from Xinghai Park, it’s perfect for guests who want easy access to nature and nearby attractions. Easy to get to via public transit, great value for money, and highly recommended!

Homeinn Selected Hotel (Dalian Xinghai Square Convention and Exhibition Center)

The service here was exceptional! Our package included just one breakfast, but since we were staying as a couple, the front desk staff kindly upgraded us to an additional complimentary breakfast with no extra charge—such a thoughtful touch. The location is fantastic, right near Xinghai Square and the Convention & Exhibition Center, making it super convenient for exploring the city via subway. Location-wise, it’s perfect: just a short walk from the seaside and right next to a metro station, making travel around Dalian super convenient. Plus, there are tons of dining options nearby—great for exploring local flavors. Everything about this stay exceeded my expectations. From service to comfort and convenience, it’s truly a top-tier experience. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dalian.

Homeinn Plus Hotel (Dalian Xinghai Square Exhibition Center)

I stayed at this Homeinn Plus Hotel and had a fantastic experience overall. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly—they upgraded me to a family room for free and even arranged late check-out without any hassle. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a small fruit platter, and when checking out, I received two lucky tangerines—such a thoughtful touch! Even though there was some renovation work going on nearby, my room was very quiet with almost no noise disturbance, so I slept well. The view from the window was stunning—direct sight of Xinghai Square and the sea-crossing bridge, perfect for photos. Getting around was convenient; it’s about a 15-minute walk to the nearest subway and bus stops, making city exploration easy. Breakfast was included and available at the adjacent Homeinn Business Hotel, where they offered a good variety: noodles, rice, congee, milk, and more—plenty of options to choose from. It’s definitely a great value for money. I’d absolutely stay here again if I come back to Dalian.

Bayshore Hotel

The overall experience was excellent, especially the ocean-view room—stunning scenery with a refreshing sea breeze when the window was open. The only minor issue was that the air conditioning seemed to be set too low, and combined with direct sunlight through the windows, the room temperature stayed uncomfortably high throughout my stay. I kept the window open the entire time, but it didn’t help much with cooling down—made it tough to sleep comfortably. If you’re sensitive to heat, be mindful of this, and consider requesting a room with better climate control or bringing a light blanket. That said, everything else was top-notch: great location, clean rooms, friendly staff, and fantastic value for money. Definitely would book again.

While the property is over ten years old and shows a few signs of aging—like minor cracks on the cabinet above the minibar and some walls—the overall condition doesn’t detract from the comfort or quality of the stay. It’s still a well-maintained luxury hotel with all standard amenities you’d expect. Breakfast was solid, offering more variety than some Westin locations but slightly less than certain Marriott properties. That said, the food quality stood out: the pastries were excellent, juices and milk options were plentiful, and the hot dishes were flavorful despite limited choices. The braised pork belly with potatoes was rich and aromatic, while the steamed shrimp were large and fresh. One area for improvement? The fruit wasn’t very sweet, and the quality could be better. But cleanliness was spotless—no issues there. The location is truly special: perched on a hill overlooking the sea, it’s one of Dalian’s iconic landmarks. Nighttime photos are absolutely stunning, and walking down to the city takes about 10–15 minutes—quiet and peaceful, though not directly next to a subway station. Taxis are easy to catch. The rooftop garden on the fifth floor is a hidden gem, perfect for relaxing or just enjoying the view. The lobby itself is grand and beautifully designed—every corner is photogenic. Service was exceptional: staff greeted us warmly, opened doors, helped with luggage, and the dedicated concierge team went above and beyond to accommodate requests. The minibar comes at an extra cost, but we were pleasantly surprised with a welcome fruit platter, dessert, and a generous bottle of house-brewed beer—a unique touch. This brew isn’t available online, but it’s smooth, refreshing, and definitely worth trying. Overall, this hotel delivers a high level of charm, comfort, and value. It’s not just a place to sleep—it’s a memorable experience that blends elegance, nature, and thoughtful service. I’d definitely return.

While the evening light show wasn’t my favorite, seeing it from the comfort of my room made it just as magical. The staff went above and beyond—prompt, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. During the off-season, they upgraded us to a spacious corner room without hesitation and even left a small gift. The fitness center is well-equipped, the pool is clean and inviting, but the real surprise was the sauna and hot tub area—beautifully designed, quiet, and perfect for unwinding. A quick 15-minute cab ride gets you to Jinsha Beach, making it easy to explore more of the city. This hotel offers incredible value, comfort, and charm—definitely a top-tier choice for first-time visitors to Dalian.
