Getting around via Didi was super affordable—only ¥9 to get to the airport or other attractions. It’s rare to find such a well-designed, stylish, and budget-friendly stay in Lijiang. Before arrival, they proactively coordinated with our taxi driver to clarify the hotel’s location within Lijiang Ancient Town—upon reaching, the host arrived on a stylish three-wheeled electric scooter, which was such a memorable welcome. The room itself is beautifully designed, exactly as shown in the photos: clean, cozy, and full of thoughtful details that reflect local character. What stood out most was the homemade mooncakes available throughout the day, plus a warm cup of tea brewed personally by the host in the evening—perfect for unwinding. We spent a relaxed night sharing beers on the terrace, chatting under the stars, and soaking in the peaceful lakeside vibe. It's just a short 12 RMB taxi ride to the ancient town, and about 20 RMB to Black Dragon Pool. If you're interested in visiting Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the host can easily arrange a tour for you. This place offers an authentic, intimate experience with excellent value. I’d definitely come back.

The tea house tucked in the corner filled the air with subtle aroma, and as dusk fell, warm lights flickered across ancient brick walls and black-tiled roofs, creating an atmosphere so peaceful it felt almost magical. The room itself was a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern comfort: smart bathroom features, wooden lattice screens for privacy, and a deep soaking tub that made every bath feel like a ritual. Tiny details—like handcrafted celadon vases and delicate Suzhou embroidery—showed real attention to aesthetic. Location-wise, it's unbeatable: just steps from the foothills of Xiangshan and overlooking Heilongtan Lake, with countless local eateries within walking distance. The front desk staff even offered thoughtful recommendations for authentic Lijiang cuisine. Waking up to birdsong, sipping tea under the shade of a tree, reading a book in the afternoon sun—it’s the kind of slow, mindful escape you don’t find in ordinary hotels. InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town Resort

The stay at this hotel was absolutely outstanding! The location is perfect—just a short walk from the ancient town, making it super convenient for exploring on foot. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, especially Jocelyn and Lisa, who went above and beyond to make our experience special. Since we had an early morning departure to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, they kindly packed a delicious breakfast for us—thoughtful and so helpful. The ambiance is serene and beautifully designed, blending traditional Lijiang charm with modern comfort. Every detail felt intentional and well-cared for. If you're visiting Lijiang, this resort is a must-try. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s part of the journey.

Even the restaurant offers panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks, making every meal feel special. The staff, especially our concierge Xiao Ming, went above and beyond—warm milk in the evening and pre-arranged tickets to nearby attractions were thoughtful touches that really made a difference. This isn’t just a stay; it’s a memorable retreat, and I’ll definitely be back.
