The Tango Hotel Taipei Xinyi

I recently attended an international conference at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, and staying at The Tango Hotel Taipei Xinyi was a perfect choice. Just a two-minute walk from the venue via metro, it’s incredibly convenient—my Uber ride cost around NT$150. The room was spotless, with a relaxing bathtub that made unwinding after long days of meetings absolutely worthwhile. THE Tango Hotel Taipei Jiantan

I stayed in the Tianti Double Room at THE Tango Hotel Taipei Jiantan, and it was an excellent experience overall. The room is spacious with a cozy living area right inside the entrance—complete with a TV for easy entertainment. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, making sleep effortless. The bathroom featured a generous-sized bathtub with a built-in TV, perfect for relaxing while soaking after a long day. The minibar is well-equipped with tea leaves, a kettle, a coffee machine, and capsules—ideal for brewing your own tea or coffee anytime. I didn’t get to use the public facilities, but from what others have said, they’re nice too. Noise levels are average: I occasionally heard faint sounds from next door—like closet doors closing or bathtub drainage—but nothing disruptive. The MRT station is just steps away, so there’s a tiny bit of ambient train noise, especially if you're sensitive to sound. But honestly, I fell asleep easily without any issues. For the location, comfort, and value, this place hits all the right notes.

The Tango Hotel Taipei Shilin

Staying at The Tango Hotel Taipei Shilin was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location is incredibly convenient—just a 1-minute walk from the MRT station, and it’s only about 7 to 10 minutes on foot to Shilin Night Market. There are also several convenience stores nearby, making daily needs super easy to handle. Despite being in a bustling area, the hotel stays surprisingly quiet at night, which made for a restful and peaceful sleep. The breakfast buffet was a highlight—fresh, clean, and well-prepared. While the selection isn’t huge, every item felt thoughtfully chosen and tasted great. The freshly squeezed orange juice stood out as one of the best I’ve had—refreshing and full of flavor. Dining in the morning light created a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that truly set the tone for a wonderful day. The room itself was spacious and immaculately clean, with a large bathtub perfect for unwinding after a long day. The outdoor 'Tian Pan Pool' offers stunning views, though it’s currently not open for guest use—still a small disappointment, but the view alone makes it worth checking out. The Tango Hotel Taipei Nanshi

I stayed at The Tango Hotel Taipei Nanshi back in 2023 and found the hallway and room lighting quite dim, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was pleasantly surprised when I returned in December 2025—everything had been completely refreshed! I asked the housekeeping staff and learned the hotel had undergone a full renovation, especially improving lighting throughout the corridors and rooms. The difference was remarkable—the space now feels bright, clean, and welcoming. The room was spotless, with excellent attention to hygiene. Even though it’s a windowless room, there was no stuffiness or unpleasant odor, making it very comfortable to stay in. Breakfast was satisfying and well-prepared, though I noticed it didn’t include natto, unlike some other Tango properties. Still, overall, the upgrade in ambiance, cleanliness, and service makes this a standout choice. Great location, excellent value, and a truly enjoyable stay—I’d definitely come back.

Shangri-La Far Eastern, Taipei

I’d been wanting to stay at Shangri-La Far Eastern Taipei for a while, mainly because my travel group consisted of three people who all wanted individual beds and a single room. I was a bit hesitant at first since most of the online reviews were from 2017–2018, but once I arrived, I completely changed my mind—this hotel exceeded all expectations. The ambiance is incredibly luxurious, and the overall quality is top-notch. The room was much bigger than the photos suggested, offering plenty of space and a really comfortable feel. From the moment we walked in, the bell staff and front desk team were welcoming and professional—every interaction was pleasant. The signature fragrance and premium toiletries added that extra touch of sophistication. Initially, I was disappointed to learn that none of the four-room options had views of Taipei 101 (which was part of our original shortlist), but after seeing the room in person, I didn’t care about the view at all—the condition, cleanliness, and comfort were just too good. During our 3-night stay, we only encountered one other Korean guest (in the elevator!), and the breakfast area and pool were mostly filled with European travelers, giving it a very international vibe. What stood out the most was how the hotel proactively sent us a confirmation email after booking to confirm our schedule—something many 5-star hotels don’t do. It made planning so much easier and gave me peace of mind. Overall, this trip was enjoyable and stress-free thanks to the excellent service. I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taipei.

W Taipei

Staying at W Taipei was an absolute delight—every detail screams luxury and thoughtfulness. The location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk from the metro, making it easy to explore Taipei. I loved the little touches: USB-C outlets, wireless charging pads, and even complimentary capsule coffee in the room. While the minibar items are extra-charge, the overall value still feels strong. The sauna experience was exceptional—pure relaxation. The 24-hour gym is a major plus for early birds or night owls like me. One small note: the speakers in the room are a bit quiet and lack strong audio impact, but it’s hardly a dealbreaker. Oh, and the hairdryer? A Dyson—yes, really! That alone made the stay feel extra special. Overall, this is a top-tier urban retreat with style, comfort, and attention to detail.

Mandarin Oriental Taipei

This trip to Asia included stays at other luxury hotels like Mandarin Oriental's counterparts, but none could match the exceptional experience at Mandarin Oriental Taipei. From the moment I walked in, warm greetings from staff made me feel instantly welcome—like coming home. The room was immaculately clean and meticulously maintained; even my tangled data cable was neatly organized and secured with a hotel-provided tie. Daily water replenishment was prompt, and the nightly turndown service went above and beyond—my room was refreshed, essentials restocked, and everything put back just right. The location is fantastic: surrounded by excellent restaurants and easily accessible via public transit to major attractions. Every team member I interacted with showed genuine care and professionalism. It’s rare to find such consistent attention to detail and heartfelt hospitality. I can’t wait to return.

Taipei Marriott Hotel

The lobby on the first floor is beautifully designed with a grand, welcoming atmosphere. Multiple elevators mean no long waits—definitely a plus for convenience. We booked during the week, but unexpectedly found the hotel fully booked that day, leaving only double rooms available. We even wanted to extend our stay by one more night, but unfortunately, the next day was also completely full—really disappointing! Still, the room itself was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. There are plenty of dining options right downstairs, and across the street, you’ll find a 7-Eleven and a Cosme store—super convenient for snacks or essentials. The location and service make it worth returning. My only advice? Book early—don’t wait until the last minute, especially if you’re planning a weekend or midweek trip!
