Arrived in Guangzhou around 4 a.m. and checked into Yishang Hotel right away—perfect location just a short walk from Donghu Subway Station and close to Dashatou Zhujiang Night Tour Marina. I stayed only one night to catch the stunning views of Canton Tower and the illuminated Pearl River at night, and it was absolutely worth it. The room was spotless and well-maintained, and the staff went above and beyond with their warm and attentive service—on the second morning, they even brought complimentary breakfast snacks! It’s rare to find such a welcoming touch at a budget-friendly hotel. Despite the late arrival, everything was smooth and comfortable. If you're visiting Guangzhou for a quick overnight stay, especially to enjoy the city lights and river views, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend.

The staff member Xiao Ru at the front desk was incredibly friendly and attentive—she made our stay feel truly special. To my surprise, I was upgraded to a better room at no extra cost—what a great bonus! The hotel environment is clean, modern, and very comfortable. It's perfectly located near Sun Yat-sen University, so there are tons of dining options right outside the door—great for food lovers. Breakfast was served until 10 AM and offered a good variety of fresh items. I also appreciated the keycard access elevator, which added a nice layer of security. Everything about this place felt thoughtfully designed. Highly recommend it for both business and leisure travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and a great value. I’ll definitely be back!

Staying in the executive suite was an absolute delight. The room was spacious with a clear separation between the living and sleeping areas, offering a real sense of privacy. The executive lounge served excellent afternoon tea and evening snacks, both in quality and presentation. Despite being near the airport, we could hear planes overhead while walking outside, but inside the room, it was completely silent thanks to outstanding soundproofing. The view from the window was wide open, and natural light filled the entire space—really bright and welcoming. Attention to detail was top-notch, and the value for money truly exceeded expectations. The hidden gem was the small garden behind the hotel—lush greenery, peaceful and beautifully designed. Perfect for morning walks, post-lunch strolls, or relaxing in the evening. A small note: on our first morning, we had breakfast at the ground-floor restaurant. The staff welcomed us and asked what drinks we’d like, but then didn’t follow up with service. If they were busy, perhaps skipping the question would have made the experience smoother—just get the drinks to the table quickly instead. Overall, though, this stay was exceptional.
