The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, but what really stood out was the indoor pool—it’s quiet, well-maintained, and perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. And the restaurant’s grilled dishes? Absolutely delicious—fresh ingredients, great flavor, and worth trying if you’re here. The manager promptly helped reissue my access card and even coordinated with housekeeping to retrieve my item—such thoughtful service that truly went above and beyond. Location is convenient, close to major attractions, and easy to reach via public transit. This level of care and comfort makes it a must-stay choice for any visit to Xi’an. Sofitel Xi'an on Renmin Square

This was my second stay at this hotel, and I’m happy to say everything lived up to expectations—plus, I got upgraded to a larger room! The suite is spacious with excellent layout and well-maintained amenities. The only minor issue was the hot water in the bathtub—it didn’t get quite hot enough for my taste. Breakfast was a highlight: the local Xi’an dishes had authentic flavor, though not overly standout; however, the Western breakfast options were impressive—fresh, varied, and high quality. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—just a short walk from the Bell and Drum Towers, and very convenient access to the Wukou Metro Station. The surrounding area has plenty of dining options and daily necessities. Overall, a fantastic experience with great value for money. I’ll definitely be returning when I come back to Xi’an.

This was my second stay at this Sheraton, and I’m already planning my next visit. The pool area is absolutely perfect—serene, well-maintained, and just right for a relaxing swim. The service continues to impress; staff are friendly, professional, and always ready to help without being intrusive. It’s clear this hotel has built a strong reputation over the years, and it shows in every detail. I especially love the à la carte Chinese restaurant—two of the servers stood out with their warm smiles and attentive yet unobtrusive service. And the breakfast? Outstanding. Huge variety, fresh ingredients, and delicious flavors. Perfect start to the day. If you’re in Xi’an, this is definitely a top choice.

The room itself was spotless, with a wonderfully comfortable bed and high-quality bathroom amenities. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained. And let’s talk about the fourth-floor pool and gym—accessible for free with our room key. The pool water was crystal clear, fresh, and completely odor-free, making it perfect for a refreshing swim. Afterward, I hit the gym and loved the clean, well-equipped space. It’s rare to find such thoughtful touches and excellent facilities in one place. I lived here in the 70s and early 80s, and every time I passed by that iconic main building (now part of Sofitel Legend), it brought back so many memories. This recent four-night stay at the hotel was absolutely fantastic. On sunny days, I loved walking around the quiet courtyard—it’s peaceful and full of charm. The staff were incredibly attentive: someone guided me to park, and others helped with luggage without being asked. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with great variety. Just steps away is Xincheng Square—perfect for a morning stroll among the friendly pigeons. In about 15 minutes on foot, you can reach Muslim Quarter (Beiyuanmen) and even walk straight to Bell Tower. There’s also a small museum inside the Sofitel Legend building that shares the rich history of the original Renmin Building, including photos of famous visitors over the years. It’s like staying in a living piece of history. With its unbeatable location, warm hospitality, and unique heritage vibe, this hotel offers amazing value. Initially, I booked three nights because of the great value and unbeatable location near the train station and Wukou Metro Station. But once I arrived, the comfort, service, and convenience made me want to stay longer. The hotel is perfectly positioned—just a short walk from metro lines and bus stops, making it incredibly easy to explore key attractions like the City Wall, Big Goose Pagoda, and ancient Daming Palace. The room view? Stunning—direct sightlines to the historic city wall and train station, which added a special charm to our stay. Special shoutout to Mr. Wei Xinglong from the concierge team—he went above and beyond helping with luggage and package collection, always cheerful and efficient. The front desk staff, Xiao Hao and Xiao Liu, were warm, professional, and attentive. When we mentioned the room felt a bit warm on our first night, they immediately upgraded us to a larger suite at no extra cost—a truly unexpected and thoughtful gesture that made our trip even more memorable. Housekeeping was spotless, and the room had excellent natural light, giving it a bright, inviting feel. Even though the hotel has seen some years, the design and furnishings still exude quality and elegance, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable after long days of sightseeing. Every detail—from the thoughtful service to the cleanliness and location—showed real care for guest experience. This isn’t just a hotel; it’s a home away from home.
