The hotel itself is beautifully designed with a stunning atrium filled with ginkgo trees—perfectly golden during autumn, creating a breathtaking atmosphere. Despite being in the heart of the city, the place is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. This was my second stay at the Xi'an Moxy Hotel (Qujiang Big Wild Goose Pagoda Store), and I’m still loving the bold, trendy vibe that blends quirky Chinese mascots with clean, modern American design—especially in the lobby. It’s a short 500-meter walk to the nearest metro station, which is totally manageable, and getting to Qujiang Sports Center by taxi only costs around $10–15 RMB—super convenient for day trips. The hotel offers all the essentials: a well-equipped gym, laundry facilities, meeting rooms, and a lively bar perfect for unwinding after a long day. Right next door is Taiyi City Mall, where you can shop or just stroll around, and the surrounding area is packed with local eateries—no shortage of delicious food options. What really stood out were the staff: everyone greeted me warmly, and the front desk agent Byron made check-in smooth and friendly. Overall, it’s been another fantastic, stress-free experience. Great location, smart design, and excellent service—it’s no wonder I’m coming back.

The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I slept like a baby through the night. Breakfast options are limited but worth it—having a bowl of spicy oil-fried noodles on the menu made my day! Pro tip: go early to avoid long lines. Cleanliness? Flawless. No hidden corners, and the bathroom was spotless—felt safe and hygienic. The staff went above and beyond, especially when we arrived with our young one. They kindly helped set up an extra bed without us even asking, and thanks to Louis and Xiao Zhu, our room was prepped ahead of time based on our request during booking. Platinum wan'ao Victory Hotel

Our 8-day self-drive trip across Shaanxi ended with a stay at Platinum Wan'ao Victory Hotel in Xi'an, and overall, it was an excellent choice. The location is incredibly convenient—right across from Hepingmen Metro Station, just a 50-meter walk away, making public transit access seamless for exploring the city. The hotel faces the ancient city wall directly, and it’s only about a 1.7-kilometer stroll to Yongning Gate if you want to walk along the wall—a pleasant way to enjoy the historic surroundings. Upon check-in, the front desk proactively upgraded us to a larger room, which made a big difference: spacious enough to comfortably unpack and move around, and ideal for family travel. Cleanliness was spot-on, meeting standard expectations without any issues. One minor drawback is the parking situation—being a multi-level garage, it’s not the most user-friendly, especially for larger vehicles, though my compact car navigated it easily. Breakfast was decent but not particularly impressive by luxury hotel standards—nothing overly elaborate, and we didn’t receive a third breakfast for our parents, which was slightly disappointing since this was one of only two hotels on the entire trip that didn’t offer it. Still, considering the excellent location, helpful staff, room comfort, and overall value, it’s hard not to give high praise. Our Huanxiang Suite, measuring 103 square meters, felt spacious and airy, making it incredibly comfortable for our family stay. The bedding was plush and fresh with no strange odors, and the housekeeping staff were consistently attentive—daily cleaning, plus a second tidy-up in the evening, which made a big difference. The staff on the executive floor were especially memorable: warm, patient, and genuinely thoughtful. They greeted my child by name each time and even brought over two small packs of chips just because he liked them—such a sweet, personal touch. The executive lounge snacks were also excellent—on our first night, when we were rushing to get ready, I stopped by for a quick bite. There was a good variety of options, and everything felt fresh and well-curated. Location-wise, this hotel is unbeatable—just across from the Tang Paradise Garden, a short walk to the lively Tang Dynasty Night Market, and close to Qujiang Book City. Everything is pedestrian-friendly, which is perfect for exploring the area at your own pace. The concierge at the lobby was outstanding—professional, efficient, and clearly experienced. A few words were enough for him to understand exactly what I needed, living up to the Gold Key reputation. Overall, while it might not be the flashiest hotel in town, the service quality ranks among the top I've experienced. It’s calm, respectful, and deeply considerate—everyone knows their role and executes it flawlessly. That level of consistency is rare. One small suggestion: please extend breakfast service a bit longer. We arrived around 10:30, and the serving station had already been cleared—plates and tongs were gone—even though food was still available. It left latecomers stranded without tools to serve themselves. A minor fix, but would make a big difference. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!

HUALUXE Xi'an Tanghua by IHG

My first visit to Xi'an turned out to be an unforgettable stay at HUALUXE Xi'an Tanghua by IHG. The location is perfect—just a 10-minute walk from the bustling Datang Fubin Night Market, the Chang’an Twelve Hours experience, and the beautiful Daming Palace Park. No need for taxis; everything is within easy reach on foot. I was there during my birthday, and the hotel went above and beyond—surprised me with a delicious cake and even decorated the room with care. It felt truly special. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering a wide variety of options, including authentic local favorites like lamb stewed bread (yang rou pao mo), meat-filled buns (rou jia mo), Biangbiang noodles, and Zengao. Plus, the garden features two gorgeous peacocks that stroll around peacefully—perfect for photos. The room itself was spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable, with soft bedding and complimentary sleep aids like herbal pillows and sachets. The view outside the window was stunning, especially at night when the Big Wild Goose Pagoda lights up. I’d definitely come back again. Special shoutout to service staff Bingyue—so friendly, helpful, and attentive. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Xi'an!

Xi'an Guangcheng Hotel

This stay was absolutely fantastic! From check-in to check-out, the staff went above and beyond—especially the front desk attendant, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. He gave great local tips and even assisted with transportation arrangements, making our entire trip to Xi'an much smoother. The hotel’s location is perfect—just a short walk from Xishao Men Metro Station and close to the airport bus stop, so getting around was super convenient. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, but what really stood out was the indoor pool—it’s quiet, well-maintained, and perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. And the restaurant’s grilled dishes? Absolutely delicious—fresh ingredients, great flavor, and worth trying if you’re here. With such excellent service, comfort, and value, I’ll definitely be coming back next time I visit Xi'an.

Breakfast was a highlight: generous buffet with a great mix of local and international options, all fresh and well-prepared. What really stood out was how attentive the hotel team was when I accidentally left my phone behind after check-out. The manager promptly helped reissue my access card and even coordinated with housekeeping to retrieve my item—such thoughtful service that truly went above and beyond. Location is convenient, close to major attractions, and easy to reach via public transit. This level of care and comfort makes it a must-stay choice for any visit to Xi’an. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premium yet personal experience.
