This estate is absolutely massive—beyond the main building, it spreads across an entire hillside with a beautifully arranged cluster of villas (Xiangyuan) nestled among the trees. Just strolling in the sunshine felt like a mini escape from reality. The staff were proactive even before check-in, reaching out to ask about our preferences, and continued checking in throughout our stay—very attentive without being intrusive. From front desk to concierge, everyone responded quickly and warmly. We tried the yakitori dinner at Yiba and breakfast, both of which were delicious and well-prepared. Despite the surprisingly long corridors in the guest rooms—some of us joked we’d need a map to find our way back—the overall experience was outstanding. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s a peaceful retreat that made our weekend truly memorable.

I’ve long admired Wangzhuang, the iconic lakeside retreat near West Lake in Hangzhou, and finally had the chance to stay here during a Black Friday deal that felt like a steal. The moment I stepped in, I could tell this was something special—excellent service, top-notch dining, and an atmosphere that truly feels luxurious. The property is vast, with beautifully maintained lawns and trees. Since we visited right at peak season for maple and ginkgo foliage, the grounds were gently dusted with golden leaves, creating a magical, almost cinematic setting. Paths are clean and well-kept, making it easy to wander around for hours just taking photos and soaking in the scenery. We booked the daily 10 AM 'Wangzhuang Cruise' tour, which circles West Lake in about an hour. The boat itself is spotless, with comfortable upholstered seats, air-conditioned enclosed cabins, and panoramic glass windows that offer stunning views of both sides of the lake. I especially loved standing at the back deck to capture sweeping shots of the water and gardens—absolutely breathtaking. The highlight of the stay was the complimentary photography package. While one of the staff members from Hainan came across as rather abrupt and inflexible, the photographer, Mr. Song, and the makeup artist were incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. Their work brought out the best in our photos, and the final results were truly memorable. Overall, despite a minor hiccup, the experience exceeded expectations—this place deserves every bit of its reputation.

I was a bit nervous before my trip after reading so many reviews, and originally planned to book two rooms—luckily, I only ended up securing one. Still, I decided to give it a try and called the reservations team. I was connected with Miss Shao Linyang, who was incredibly helpful. Even though we couldn’t secure an additional room, she followed up promptly and made sure every step was communicated clearly. To my surprise, she upgraded my room and even left fresh fruit upon arrival. When I mentioned I’d be traveling with a child, she proactively arranged kid-friendly amenities, and the room came equipped with a mini-bar—thoughtful touches that really stood out. As a long-standing five-star property, the service level is consistently excellent. The location is unbeatable—right next to Wulin Night Market, and just a 10-minute walk to West Lake. On days when traffic restrictions made taxis hard to find, walking became the easiest option. Breakfast was generous in both variety and quality. Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations. Feng Qi Chao Ming·The Dragon

Staying at this hotel in the heart of Hangzhou was an absolute delight. Just a short walk from West Lake, it’s perfectly positioned for exploring the city without hassle. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable—bed was cozy, and I slept like a baby. Check-in was quick and friendly, with staff going the extra mile to explain all the room amenities. The 18th-floor pool and gym are fantastic—great views, well-maintained, and super convenient. Breakfast was outstanding: a wide variety of options, fresh ingredients, and attentive service. Every detail felt thoughtfully designed. This was one of the best stays I’ve had in China—excellent value, great location, and top-tier hospitality. I’d definitely come back if I ever visit Hangzhou again.

The room was immaculate, thoughtfully decorated with attention to detail, and incredibly comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Dining options were plentiful and of high quality, with breakfast and dinner both delivering excellent taste and presentation. But what truly stood out was the service. Every staff member was attentive, polite, and genuinely caring. They even surprised me with a small thoughtful gift—such a nice touch. Special mention to Mike Zhang (Zhang Xinggang), whose professionalism, kindness, and genuine warmth left a lasting impression. He made me feel seen and valued throughout my visit. Overall, the hotel excels in every aspect—location, facilities, cleanliness, and hospitality. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s an experience. My room was immaculate, spacious, and beautifully designed, with top-notch amenities and excellent attention to detail. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the soundproofing ensured a peaceful night’s sleep—no noise from the street or neighboring rooms. Everything felt fresh, well-maintained, and thoughtfully curated. For the quality, comfort, and service, this hotel offers outstanding value. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hangzhou, and I’ll definitely be returning when I come back.
