We booked the daily 10 AM 'Wangzhuang Cruise' tour, which circles West Lake in about an hour. You’ll spot the hotel right at the corner of a quiet street. It’s just one stop from Tianmu Li, which is perfect for a full day of exploring: art exhibitions, shopping, great cafes, and Instagram-worthy architecture and nature shots. A few stops further, you can visit Zhejiang University, wetlands, or botanical gardens—all within easy reach. And if you want to head into downtown, it’s only six stops away. Super convenient! The staff were warm and attentive, and the breakfast spread was generous and delicious. Definitely worth waking up early for!

My stay at Midtown Shangri-La Hangzhou was truly exceptional—far beyond my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the festive Christmas ambiance created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. The room was immaculate, thoughtfully decorated with attention to detail, and incredibly comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Dining options were plentiful and of high quality, with breakfast and dinner both delivering excellent taste and presentation. But what truly stood out was the service. Every staff member was attentive, polite, and genuinely caring. They even surprised me with a small thoughtful gift—such a nice touch. Special mention to Mike Zhang (Zhang Xinggang), whose professionalism, kindness, and genuine warmth left a lasting impression. He made me feel seen and valued throughout my visit. Overall, the hotel excels in every aspect—location, facilities, cleanliness, and hospitality. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s an experience. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Hangzhou.
