Beitou Resort Metro Inn

Staying at Beitou Resort Metro Inn was a fantastic experience, especially for travelers exploring Taipei’s northern areas. Located just a short walk from Exit 2 of Fuxinggang MRT Station, the hotel is incredibly easy to find—cross the overhead bridge and follow the signs straight ahead. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a welcoming lobby that offered complimentary tea, cookies, and a coffee machine for guests to use anytime. The amenities are top-notch: a well-equipped fitness center, an indoor pool (don’t forget your swim cap—our team missed it and couldn’t use the pool, which was disappointing!), a convenience store, free laundry machines, and even free bicycles available for rent. Perfect for spontaneous trips to Xinbeitou or Yangming Mountain! Breakfast options were great too—simple but satisfying on weekdays with a Mos baked ham sandwich, tea egg, and drink, while weekends offered more variety including lotus paste buns, fresh vegetables, tofu, edamame, and more. Kids staying in a double room incur an extra charge of TWD 100, weekday breakfast is TWD 120, and weekend breakfast is TWD 180—still very reasonable. Overall, this hotel offers unbeatable value, convenience, and comfort. If you’re planning a visit to the Beitou area, this is definitely one of the best places to stay.

On My Way Taipei Hostel

Staying at On My Way Taipei Hostel was one of the highlights of my trip to Taipei! The location is perfect—just a short walk from Beidai Station, and right next to the famous 24-hour Beitou Hot Springs, including the unique green sulfur springs. I loved soaking in the warm waters after a long day of exploring. The hostel itself is clean, cozy, and full of charm. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need—free toast, pots, pans, utensils—so cooking your own meals is super easy and stress-free. They even have a great collection of local travel guides that helped me plan my days perfectly. Plus, the atmosphere is so welcoming; I met some amazing travelers who shared stories and tips, making the whole experience feel like part of a real adventure. No need to worry about getting lost or missing out on anything. With such a fantastic vibe, unbeatable value, and peaceful rest, this place truly stands out. If you're visiting Taipei, don’t miss this gem—it’s worth every penny.

Walker Motel

Staying at Walker Motel was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk from the metro station and surrounded by great local eateries, including a bustling night market right nearby. I loved how close it was to all the major attractions in Taipei, making sightseeing stress-free. The room was spotless, with a comfortable bed that made for a restful sleep, and the bathroom was modern and well-maintained with strong hot water pressure. Free high-speed Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout my stay—great for streaming shows after a long day of exploring. The staff were friendly and efficient during check-in and check-out, which added to the overall positive experience. What really stood out was the value: top-quality amenities at a price that’s hard to beat. I’ll definitely be returning next time I visit Taipei, and I’d highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a cozy, reliable, and affordable stay.

Empire Hotel

Staying at Empire Hotel in Taipei was a fantastic experience. The room was spacious and incredibly comfortable—perfect for unwinding after a long day. What stood out most was the hot spring pool, which offered excellent value and was especially cozy during colder weather. I found the hotel to be very quiet and peaceful, making it ideal for a restful night’s sleep. There’s complimentary tea available in the lobby—simple but thoughtful. Just steps away, there’s a ramen shop that’s great for dinner, though it closes early, so plan accordingly. Overall, this is a well-balanced choice with a lovely mix of comfort, convenience, and relaxation. If you’re looking for a tranquil retreat in Taipei with good amenities and a great vibe, this place is definitely worth considering.

Nest 13

Staying at Nest 13 was a great experience overall. The place is spotlessly clean and well-maintained—immediately gave me that sense of comfort and hygiene I look for in a guesthouse. What stood out the most was the location: just a short walk from the Shi Lin MRT station, making it super convenient to explore Taipei’s city center or hop on the metro for day trips. The only minor hiccup was the check-in process, which requires filling out a digital form online—slightly time-consuming but manageable once you get used to it. There's also a small issue with the bathroom door not sealing tightly against the toilet area, though it doesn’t interfere much with privacy or daily use. Beyond that, everything else was excellent. Great value for money, cozy atmosphere, and a solid choice if you're looking for something quiet, clean, and well-located. Definitely planning to stay here again.

The room itself is spacious, immaculately clean, and comes with a private onsen, which made for a truly relaxing experience while enjoying views of the surroundings. I loved the complimentary yukata provided upon arrival—it added such a charming touch to the stay. Free snacks and drinks were available throughout the day, perfect for a quick pick-me-up. Check-in around 3 PM even included a delightful tea ceremony with free green tea and traditional sweets—a lovely cultural highlight. Breakfast was another standout: abundant in variety, fresh, and delicious. Every meal felt like a special occasion. This hotel offers incredible value and a memorable, immersive experience—highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with a genuine Japanese touch.

Renaissance Taipei Shihlin Hotel

Staying at Renaissance Taipei Shihlin Hotel was an absolute delight. The location is incredibly convenient—just a 10-minute walk to Shilin Night Market, where you can dive into all the local street food favorites without needing transport. From my room, I had a beautiful view of Shilin Official Residence Park, and it was easy to stroll through the grounds or even visit the residence itself. For skyline views, the Windy Platform on the upper level offers stunning night views of Taipei, perfect for a romantic evening. The hotel itself feels brand new with modern, well-maintained facilities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a restful sleep after a long day exploring. There are several dining options within the property, and breakfast was a highlight—huge variety, from Western classics to local Taiwanese dishes, catering to every taste. Cleanliness, service, and overall experience were top-notch. This place truly delivers excellent value for money. I’d definitely book here again on my next trip to Taipei.

Aloft Taipei Beitou

The New Year's Eve live English music performance at the hotel was absolutely incredible—beautiful vocals and a vibrant atmosphere that made the whole evening feel magical. Right next to the metro station—just a 5-minute walk—and surrounded by great spots like Beidai Park, the trendy Beitou Train Station, and tons of local eateries.
