Renaissance Taipei Shihlin Hotel

Staying at Renaissance Taipei Shihlin Hotel was an absolute delight. The location is incredibly convenient—just a 10-minute walk to Shilin Night Market, where you can dive into all the local street food favorites without needing transport. From my room, I had a beautiful view of Shilin Official Residence Park, and it was easy to stroll through the grounds or even visit the residence itself. For skyline views, the Windy Platform on the upper level offers stunning night views of Taipei, perfect for a romantic evening. The hotel itself feels brand new with modern, well-maintained facilities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a restful sleep after a long day exploring. There are several dining options within the property, and breakfast was a highlight—huge variety, from Western classics to local Taiwanese dishes, catering to every taste. Cleanliness, service, and overall experience were top-notch. This place truly delivers excellent value for money. I’d definitely book here again on my next trip to Taipei.

Yusense Hotel

Staying at Yusense Hotel in Shilin was an absolute delight! The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and had a beautiful view of lush greenery—perfect for unwinding after a busy day. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always smiling and eager to help with anything. It's just a 8-minute walk to the National Palace Museum, making it super convenient for exploring the area without needing to take public transport. There’s also a convenience store nearby, so grabbing drinks or snacks is no hassle at all. Breakfast was served à la carte with a wide variety of options—my personal favorites were the local-style congee and homemade pastries, both deliciously authentic. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value, comfort, and a peaceful atmosphere. I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to Taipei.

Aloft Taipei Beitou

The New Year's Eve live English music performance at the hotel was absolutely incredible—beautiful vocals and a vibrant atmosphere that made the whole evening feel magical. The vibe was relaxed yet festive, and I felt completely comfortable throughout. Located just steps away from Beitou’s famous hot springs, it’s super convenient for exploring the area, especially if you’re looking to unwind with a touch of luxury. The experience was unforgettable, and the value for money is outstanding. If you're planning a unique and memorable New Year celebration in Taipei, this is definitely the place to be.

Mellow Fields Hotel

Staying here always feels like coming home—comfortable, familiar, and exactly as wonderful as I remember. The breakfast spread is exceptional, featuring fresh fruits and vegetables sourced directly from local agricultural cooperatives. It’s especially lively in the mornings when trainee guests join us for breakfast, creating a warm, communal vibe. Be sure to arrive before 8 AM—it’s peak time, and the buffet lines are long, but every bite is worth the wait. The quality and variety truly make it one of the best breakfast experiences I’ve had at any hotel.

Beautique Hotel

We stayed at this hotel with my mom on a last-minute weekend trip, booking it just a day before arrival. Even though the room is compact, the price was incredibly affordable for what we got—everything you’d expect in a modern city stay was included. I especially appreciated the small workspace area in the room, perfect for catching up on emails or working remotely. The location is excellent—close to subway access and surrounded by great dining options. Clean, quiet, and well-maintained, it felt like a hidden gem. Great value for money and a solid choice if you're looking for a comfortable, no-frills urban retreat. Would definitely recommend for business travelers or families wanting a convenient base in Taipei.

Aqua Bella Hotel

Absolutely loved my stay here! The facilities are a bit dated, but they’re kept incredibly clean and well-maintained. While the location isn’t right in the heart of the action, it’s just a quick walk through quiet alleyways to reach the shopping district—perfect for someone who wants peace without sacrificing convenience. There are tons of great restaurants nearby, and right outside the hotel door is a huge 7-Eleven, which was super handy. Breakfast was delicious and satisfying. I was pleasantly surprised that the bathroom was actually bigger than the room—perfect for a spa lover like me! The tub was spacious and spotlessly clean, making every soak feel luxurious. And the staff? Beyond friendly—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Honestly, if I’d known how amazing this place was, I’d have stayed longer. I’m still kicking myself for not booking more nights!

Beitou Resort Metro Inn

Staying at Beitou Resort Metro Inn was a fantastic experience, especially for travelers exploring Taipei’s northern areas. Located just a short walk from Exit 2 of Fuxinggang MRT Station, the hotel is incredibly easy to find—cross the overhead bridge and follow the signs straight ahead. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a welcoming lobby that offered complimentary tea, cookies, and a coffee machine for guests to use anytime. The amenities are top-notch: a well-equipped fitness center, an indoor pool (don’t forget your swim cap—our team missed it and couldn’t use the pool, which was disappointing!), a convenience store, free laundry machines, and even free bicycles available for rent. Perfect for spontaneous trips to Xinbeitou or Yangming Mountain! Breakfast options were great too—simple but satisfying on weekdays with a Mos baked ham sandwich, tea egg, and drink, while weekends offered more variety including lotus paste buns, fresh vegetables, tofu, edamame, and more. Kids staying in a double room incur an extra charge of TWD 100, weekday breakfast is TWD 120, and weekend breakfast is TWD 180—still very reasonable. Overall, this hotel offers unbeatable value, convenience, and comfort. If you’re planning a visit to the Beitou area, this is definitely one of the best places to stay.

The moment you step into the lobby, you're greeted with authentic Japanese ambiance—elegant design, thoughtful details, and a serene atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. The room itself is spacious, immaculately clean, and comes with a private onsen, which made for a truly relaxing experience while enjoying views of the surroundings. I loved the complimentary yukata provided upon arrival—it added such a charming touch to the stay. Free snacks and drinks were available throughout the day, perfect for a quick pick-me-up. Check-in around 3 PM even included a delightful tea ceremony with free green tea and traditional sweets—a lovely cultural highlight. Breakfast was another standout: abundant in variety, fresh, and delicious. Every meal felt like a special occasion. This hotel offers incredible value and a memorable, immersive experience—highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with a genuine Japanese touch.

This place is an absolute steal for the price! Right next to the metro station—just a 5-minute walk—and surrounded by great spots like Beidai Park, the trendy Beitou Train Station, and tons of local eateries. The room was beautifully designed in a traditional Japanese style, and my family and I absolutely loved it. The highlight? A private hot spring bath where two people could soak together—so relaxing and romantic. Free snacks and drinks are available throughout the day, perfect for a quick pick-me-up. The bathroom features a smart toilet, a classic Japanese showerhead, and even a tatami mat area. It truly felt like being in a real ryokan. Archess Hotel

Staying at Archess Hotel was an absolute delight. Located just a short walk from Taipei MRT Zhishan Station Exit 1, it’s only two stops to Jian Tan Station—perfect for catching performances at the Taipei Performing Arts Center. Nestled in a quiet alley, the hotel feels peaceful yet is surrounded by convenience: 7-Eleven, Lan Tian Shilin Maternity Care Center, and a shuttle stop for Dahan Takashimaya. The room itself is stunning—wood flooring is spotless, the bed is incredibly comfortable, and the large TV adds to the cozy vibe. I loved the spacious bathroom with a soaking tub and huge mirror. Everything is smartly designed: touch-controlled lights and air conditioning make it super easy to adjust. They even provide little snacks for those mid-day cravings, and there’s a water dispenser on every floor. The ambiance is elegant and serene, with thoughtful details everywhere. Golden Hot Spring Hotel

I’ve been coming to Beidai for hot springs for years, and the one thing I always worry about is whether the water is pure and the pools are clean. At Golden Hot Spring Hotel, I was pleasantly surprised— the water is milky white with a distinct sulfur scent, which tells me it’s authentic and rich in minerals. The pools themselves are spotless, meticulously maintained, and feel incredibly hygienic. It’s so relaxing to soak in such a clean, natural environment. Staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing— they genuinely care about guest comfort. This isn’t just a hotel; it’s an experience. Cleanliness, quality, and service all hit the mark. If you’re looking for a genuine hot spring retreat in Taipei, this place delivers. I’ll definitely be back.
