Porto Palácio Hotel by The Editory

Staying at Porto Palácio Hotel by The Editory for two nights was a delightful experience. Located just steps from the city center, it’s incredibly convenient for exploring Porto—walking to major attractions is easy and enjoyable. The breakfast buffet stood out with its wide variety of options and fresh, freshly squeezed juices. That said, expect a short wait in the morning around 8:30 AM as it gets busy quickly. One highlight? They included a complimentary pass to the rooftop bar—perfect for unwinding with a drink while enjoying panoramic views of the city at sunset. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and spacious enough for comfort, with no major flaws. The bathroom had modern fixtures and plenty of hot water. I especially appreciated the free work area in the lobby—it made handling some last-minute business tasks seamless. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value, combining convenience, thoughtful touches, and a relaxed vibe. It’s ideal for travelers who want a quiet base without compromising on quality or location.

Vignette Collection Casa Da Companhia Hotel & Spa by IHG

I booked a room with a view of the church, and it just happened to face east—waking up to two consecutive sunrise views was absolutely worth every penny I paid for the upgrade at check-in. The staff went above and beyond with their warm smiles and genuine hospitality, making the entire stay feel personal and welcoming. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to enjoy the pool or sauna this time around, but that only makes me want to come back. This hotel has already earned a permanent spot in my travel plans—definitely returning to Porto and staying here again.

HF Ipanema Park

Staying at HF Ipanema Park Hotel was a pleasant experience overall. The location is just a short distance from the city center, making it easy to explore Porto on foot or by metro—very convenient for travelers. The room itself is spacious and comfortable, offering plenty of room to move around. One minor issue: the shower water temperature can get quite hot unexpectedly, so it’s worth testing before stepping in. Also, the hairdryer’s cord had a loose connection at times, which caused interruptions during use. However, these are small drawbacks compared to the positives—the hotel provides complimentary bottled water and tea bags every day, which is a thoughtful touch. Overall, great value for money and a solid choice if you're looking for comfort and convenience in Porto.

Maison Bleue by Vila Foz

Staying at Maison Bleue by Vila Foz felt like stepping into a quiet, elegant retreat in Porto. This boutique-style hotel has just a handful of rooms—perfect for a peaceful, intimate experience. We booked a Deluxe room with a river view, and it was absolutely worth it; the sight from the window was stunning, especially during sunset. The room itself was clean, well-appointed, and very comfortable, with excellent beds that made for a restful night’s sleep. The staff at reception and breakfast service were genuinely warm and helpful, making our stay feel personal and welcoming. While the location isn’t right in the heart of the old town—about a 15-minute walk away—it’s still quiet and serene, even with windows open at night. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of fresh options, and everything was neatly presented. Overall, this is a charming, well-run gem that delivers on comfort, service, and atmosphere—highly recommend for travelers seeking a calm, authentic vibe in Porto.

Duas Portas Townhouse

Staying at Duas Portas Townhouse was an absolute highlight of my trip to Porto. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the city center and surrounded by great cafes, shops, and attractions. Every staff member went above and beyond with their kindness and warm hospitality; it truly felt like being welcomed into a home. Special thanks to Miguel—he shared so many insider tips about local gems, hidden viewpoints, and authentic dining spots that made my experience so much more memorable. The room itself was immaculate: cozy bedding, high-quality amenities, and spotless cleanliness throughout. I especially loved the complimentary drinks and light snacks available in the room—perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring. And the breakfast? Outstanding! Rosa Et Al Townhouse

We stayed at Rosa Et Al Townhouse in Porto with my wife and our 1.5-year-old daughter for two nights in November 2025, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The location is perfect—walking distance to the city center, and everything we needed, from cafes to attractions, was just around the corner. The room itself was a standout—unlike any standard hotel room, with a unique, artistic interior that feels more like a stylish private home. The bathroom fixtures are original and vintage, adding character, and the wooden floors creak slightly when you walk on them. Honestly, this wasn’t a flaw—it gave the space charm and authenticity. From what we gathered from the staff, the owners intentionally keep the old flooring because they see it as part of the property’s heritage. Breakfast was excellent: fresh, well-prepared, and full of local flavors. The coffee was especially good—rich and aromatic. Overall, it’s not just a place to sleep; it’s an experience. If you’re looking for something different, intimate, and full of character, this is a must-try.
