Romantza Mare
We stayed at this hotel from September 26th to October 3rd, 2024, and overall had a fantastic experience. One small note: coffee from the machine in the dining area is charged extra, which wasn’t clearly indicated upon check-in—so it came as a surprise at checkout, but we can overlook that minor issue. The staff were incredibly responsive when we initially got an unsuitable room; they upgraded us the same evening to a larger, more beautiful room with a private patio and outdoor table—very impressive service. Breakfast was consistently generous, varied, and delicious—especially the savory options, which were even more abundant than the sweet ones. Coffee, fresh juices, and smoothies were all top quality. Dinner was also buffet-style, plentiful, and well-balanced across meats, seafood, vegetables, appetizers, and desserts. While some dishes repeated during the week (which is expected for this category, not a five-star), it didn’t detract from the enjoyment. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always smiling—though two team members near the balcony seemed less engaged, which was just our personal impression. Cleanliness met typical Greek standards: rooms were cleaned regularly, towels and linens changed daily (though some guests might find them slightly short). Showers and bathroom fixtures worked perfectly. In-room TV was comfortable, and the safe at reception was available for €1 per day—very convenient. There’s on-site parking, and the location is ideal—just a 10-minute drive to Rhodes town, Faliraki, and other key spots. A bus stop is nearby if you prefer public transport. The hotel’s own supermarket is handy and reasonably priced. The pools are lovely—multiple areas with plenty of loungers—and we tested the water in late September; it was pleasantly warm, not too cold. The poolside bar is cozy and inviting. Compared to other hotels in the same price range and category, Romantza Mare stands out as a top choice. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, value, and a relaxing getaway.
