We had an absolutely wonderful weekend getaway with our wife at The Brownswood, and it was a perfect escape. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We also tried the Sunday roast, which was outstanding—perfectly cooked meat with all the classic sides. It’s located down a few steps into a basement area, which isn’t ideal, especially considering the photos that were used to represent the space. There was no shower mat and no soap provided—small touches that would have made a big difference. Still, despite that, the overall experience was positive. The neighborhood is peaceful, the apartment is clean and thoughtfully laid out, and the price point makes it a solid choice if you’re looking for a quiet, central base in London.
