The host was very responsive—quickly replaced the curtain rail after it fell when I opened the curtains in the morning, and also swapped out our linens when we noticed a small mark on the duvet. Even though we didn’t use the kitchen, it looked well-equipped and inviting for a casual meal. That said, the bathroom is a bit of a letdown. It’s located down a few steps into a basement area, which isn’t ideal, especially considering the photos that were used to represent the space. There was no shower mat and no soap provided—small touches that would have made a big difference. Still, despite that, the overall experience was positive. The neighborhood is peaceful, the apartment is clean and thoughtfully laid out, and the price point makes it a solid choice if you’re looking for a quiet, central base in London.
