Even though the room isn’t huge, it’s spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly cozy. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. What really stood out was the convenience of having dining, accommodation, and entertainment all in one place—room service was quick and offered a great variety of local dishes, so we never had to leave the hotel. Whether you're exploring Sun Island or enjoying the winter attractions, this hotel offers a perfect base with excellent value and comfort. What stood out most was the host—super friendly, helpful, and genuinely warm. They offered great recommendations for hidden local eats and even helped with luggage storage without any hassle. Spent a truly memorable Christmas Eve at The North International Youth Hostel in Harbin—what an incredible experience! This hostel isn’t just a place to sleep; it’s a vibrant community with soul. Located just a short walk from Central Street, it’s incredibly convenient for exploring the city’s charm. I fell in love with the soft piano melodies that filled the evenings, creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The nightly gatherings with fellow travelers were lively yet cozy—perfect for making connections with people from all over the world. Even though the beds are compact, they held so much more than just bodies: stories, laughter, and shared dreams. It’s clear this place is designed for connection, not just comfort. If I ever return to Harbin, there’s no doubt I’ll come back here. A gem of a stay—authentic, affordable, and unforgettable.

This hotel is perfect for student groups traveling together! The atmosphere is clean and fresh, and as soon as you step into the room, you can feel the crisp, pleasant air with no unpleasant odors. The room is spotless, well-equipped, and very comfortable. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful—every request was handled with care and made me feel truly welcomed. What stood out most was the amazing value for money; it’s affordable without compromising on quality. Best of all, there’s a great barbecue restaurant right downstairs—dinner and sleep-in are just a few steps apart. No worries about finding a ride or freezing at night after a meal. Plus, its location is unbeatable: walking distance to Central Avenue, the Flood Control Memorial Tower, and right next to a metro station. This means easy access to all major attractions without traffic stress, saving so much time. It’s truly a one-stop experience for food, rest, and sightseeing.

Harbin Junyi Hotel (Central Street Sofia Church)

The afternoon tea here is definitely a highlight—my favorite part was the creamy, rich milk tea that tasted surprisingly delicious. The Western-style pastries, yogurt, and desserts were also well-executed and stood out. The room itself is on the smaller side but impeccably clean, with a charming Russian architectural style that really adds character to the stay. One quirky detail: the bathroom faucet is extremely tall—despite being 5'6" (around 168 cm), I still had to stretch just to reach the clothesline! That’s some authentic Russian design for you. Inside, the heating system works so well that you forget it’s freezing outside—perfect for winter visits. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better: just steps from Metro Line 2, making trips to the Ice and Snow World only 3 stops away, while Central Street and Red Star Market are within walking distance. There’s no shortage of local eats nearby—great barbecue spots and traditional “pig slaughter” dishes for hungry travelers. Bonus: the key card can be duplicated, which is super convenient for late-night returns. Service is a bit routine—understandable given the high foot traffic in this commercial area—but could use a little more warmth and personal touch. Still, if you’re visiting Harbin for the first time, this hotel is a solid choice. With such a great location and cozy interior, improving service quality would truly match the premium pricing.

Harbin Central Street Habsburg Hotel (Sofia Church)

Even though it was freezing outside, stepping into the Habsburg Hotel felt like being wrapped in a warm hug. The heating was spot-on, but what truly warmed our hearts was the genuine hospitality from front desk staff Zhang Mingxu—so attentive and friendly, it made us feel instantly at home. After learning we’d braved the cold the day before, he personally handed us cozy hand warmers and heated insoles. We wore them that night and were amazed by how much warmer and more comfortable we felt. Breakfast was an absolute surprise—the dining supervisor, Auntie Huang, even brought a 3D-printed yogurt for our little one with a smile, saying, 'A great day starts with a delicious breakfast.' That moment stole our child’s heart: he refused to leave the hotel the next morning, even when the famous Hongzhuan Morning Market called his name. He kept asking, 'Can we go back to eat Auntie Huang’s special yogurt?' Such thoughtful touches make this stay unforgettable. Truly, the warmth here goes beyond just the heat—it's real human kindness.

A special mention goes to Mr. Wang Jingwen and Mr. Xu Shengchao from the front desk. From the moment we arrived, their friendly smiles and welcoming attitude made us feel at home. They didn’t just handle check-in efficiently — they went above and beyond by sharing local gems like authentic Northeastern cuisine, tips on visiting the Siberian tiger exhibit, and even recommended scenic running routes along the Songhua River. Their knowledge and personal touch instantly made us feel connected to the city, not just as guests but as visitors welcomed with heart. The dining team also stood out, especially Ms. Wang Jinxia. During busy mealtimes, she remained calm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. Her thoughtful recommendations brought each meal to life, turning every bite into a delightful experience. Our room was cozy and thoughtfully designed, offering panoramic views of the city. Staying in the Executive Lounge was a real highlight — sipping tea while gazing out at the dazzling night lights of the North Bank Ice and Snow World and the serene riverside scenery, all within walking distance of key attractions. The location couldn’t be better, and the lounge offered a peaceful retreat with a touch of elegance. Truth be told, we picked this hotel because of a friend’s strong recommendation — and now we understand why. Shangri-La isn’t just a trusted name for travelers; it’s a brand that feels deeply rooted in the community, respected and cherished locally. Thank you to every member of the team for creating such a memorable, comfortable, and heartfelt stay. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.
