This was hands down the best booking of our trip—booked early before prices went up, and the value for money was outstanding. Nestled on San Tai Mountain, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat with fresh air and stunning natural surroundings. The nearest bus stop is at Yu Qian Temple, but we actually preferred walking to Wugui Tan to try the rowboat ride—unfortunately, it was canceled due to weather, but we made up for it by taking a scenic water bus from Guo Zhuang Pier to Hua Gang Guan Yu. The views along the way were absolutely beautiful. After exploring Hua Gang Guan Yu, we returned via the Xiao Lian Qing Feng line from Su Di Pier, which dropped us right at Yu Qian Temple Station—perfect for heading back to the hotel. One small downside: limited food delivery options nearby, but overall, the experience was flawless. This place truly delivers comfort, convenience, and charm.
Staying at Edinburgh Holiday Hotel Hangzhou was an absolute delight! The location is perfect—just a short walk from Nansheng Bridge Metro Station, making it super convenient for exploring the city. The room was spotless, clean, and well-maintained with everything you'd expect: strong Wi-Fi, efficient air conditioning, and high-quality toiletries. Staff were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. On our last morning, we had to check out early and missed breakfast—but instead of just letting it go, they proactively refunded the breakfast fee. That kind of thoughtful service really stands out. For the price, the value is unbeatable. I’d definitely come back if I ever visit Hangzhou again. Highly recommend this hotel!
Staying at Yuqi Hotel (Hangzhou West Lake Scenic Area Branch) was a wonderful experience overall. While the hotel is located near railway tracks and there is some ambient noise from passing trains, it’s not disruptive at all—definitely manageable and not loud enough to affect sleep. The room was clean, well-maintained, and offered a peaceful atmosphere despite the nearby rail line. What stood out most was how close it was to West Lake—just a short walk or quick metro ride away, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. Compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at before, this one truly offers better value for money. The staff were friendly, the location was ideal, and the overall vibe felt welcoming and relaxing. If you're visiting Hangzhou and want a comfortable, hassle-free stay with easy access to major attractions, I highly recommend giving this place a try.
Staying at Pujing Yuanju was an absolute delight! The room was spacious, bright, and incredibly comfortable—perfect for unwinding. What stood out most was the dedicated tea area; I spent both mornings and evenings sipping tea while chatting with friends, soaking in the sunshine. The only minor thing missing was a table inside the room, but that wasn’t an issue since the shared spaces were fantastic—multiple cozy tea lounges with all the essentials, plus an open-air courtyard ideal for relaxing, grilling, or even gathering around a fire to brew tea. It was the perfect time of year too—full of blooming osmanthus flowers, filling the air with their sweet fragrance. The weather was flawless, and the whole vibe felt serene and authentic. This place truly captures the essence of quiet luxury in Hangzhou’s countryside. Definitely worth returning.
My stay at Qianchao Michen Hotel (Hangzhou Binjiang Xingguang Avenue Branch) was absolutely excellent! The room was spotlessly clean, with a comfortably soft mattress and cozy bedding that made for a restful night's sleep. I really appreciated the thoughtful layout of the room and all the modern amenities. The 27th-floor laundry facility is a huge plus—being able to dry clothes right there saved me so much time during my business trip. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. Breakfast was outstanding—fresh, delicious, and well-balanced. Plus, the complimentary on-site parking is a game-changer, especially if you're driving. Location-wise, it's convenient for both public transit and exploring nearby areas. This hotel offers fantastic value and service—definitely one of the best stays I’ve had in Hangzhou. I’ll be booking here again without hesitation.
The room layout is excellent and very functional. I was able to check in early and also extended my checkout time without any hassle—staff were proactive whenever I had a question or needed assistance. Their friendly attitude made the whole experience even better. Being on the ground floor is a major plus—super convenient for walking to West Lake, Hefang Street, and nearby attractions. Everything is within easy reach. The value for money is outstanding, and I’ll definitely stay here again when I visit Hangzhou. Highly recommend this hotel!
I stayed here for about a week during my short visit to Hangzhou, and overall it was a great experience. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet corner of the city—far from the bustling crowds but not at all dull or oppressive. It’s clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly comfortable despite not being luxurious. What stood out most was the location: just a stone’s throw from the Yintai shopping district, with a fresh market, convenience stores, and plenty of local food options right downstairs. The view from the front door is lovely too—lots of greenery, making it feel peaceful and refreshing. If you're looking for a reliable, budget-friendly place to stay while job-hunting or exploring Hangzhou, this is definitely worth trying. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet, convenient base without breaking the bank.
This estate is absolutely massive—beyond the main building, it spreads across an entire hillside with a beautifully arranged cluster of villas (Xiangyuan) nestled among the trees. Just strolling in the sunshine felt like a mini escape from reality. The staff were proactive even before check-in, reaching out to ask about our preferences, and continued checking in throughout our stay—very attentive without being intrusive. From front desk to concierge, everyone responded quickly and warmly. We tried the yakitori dinner at Yiba and breakfast, both of which were delicious and well-prepared. Despite the surprisingly long corridors in the guest rooms—some of us joked we’d need a map to find our way back—the overall experience was outstanding. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s a peaceful retreat that made our weekend truly memorable.
We were incredibly lucky during the New Year holiday when the hotel upgraded our room at no extra cost—what a wonderful surprise! The accommodation was cozy and comfortable, even though the balcony felt a bit chilly. However, the view and overall atmosphere made it well worth it. The resort’s architecture is truly unique—each balcony feels like it’s nestled in a loft with a striking sloped design. Surrounded by serene mountain scenery, the property beautifully blends traditional elements: pavilions, bridges, and flowing waterways create a peaceful, almost dreamlike setting. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner on-site, and every meal was satisfying and delicious. It’s rare to find such charm, tranquility, and excellent service all in one place. A perfect getaway that exceeded all expectations.
I’ve long admired Wangzhuang, the iconic lakeside retreat near West Lake in Hangzhou, and finally had the chance to stay here during a Black Friday deal that felt like a steal. The moment I stepped in, I could tell this was something special—excellent service, top-notch dining, and an atmosphere that truly feels luxurious. The property is vast, with beautifully maintained lawns and trees. Since we visited right at peak season for maple and ginkgo foliage, the grounds were gently dusted with golden leaves, creating a magical, almost cinematic setting. Paths are clean and well-kept, making it easy to wander around for hours just taking photos and soaking in the scenery. We booked the daily 10 AM 'Wangzhuang Cruise' tour, which circles West Lake in about an hour. The boat itself is spotless, with comfortable upholstered seats, air-conditioned enclosed cabins, and panoramic glass windows that offer stunning views of both sides of the lake. I especially loved standing at the back deck to capture sweeping shots of the water and gardens—absolutely breathtaking. The highlight of the stay was the complimentary photography package. While one of the staff members from Hainan came across as rather abrupt and inflexible, the photographer, Mr. Song, and the makeup artist were incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. Their work brought out the best in our photos, and the final results were truly memorable. Overall, despite a minor hiccup, the experience exceeded expectations—this place deserves every bit of its reputation.
The autumn in Jiangnan truly shines at Sisan Resort. From the moment I stepped in, I was wrapped in a serene and refined atmosphere—every corner of the hotel exudes character, with minimal crowds and an effortlessly calm vibe that’s perfect for a true staycation. The bathroom scent was subtle yet delightful, instantly setting a relaxing tone. The mini-bar was stocked with an impressive variety of snacks and drinks—perfect for late-night cravings or morning refreshments. But honestly, the highlight was the breakfast at Yueya Restaurant. It’s hands down the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had—endless options, beautifully presented, and each dish tasted thoughtfully crafted. I could’ve stayed there just for the food alone. The entire experience was flawless, and I couldn’t stop taking photos. Pure bliss. Definitely coming back.
I’ve always dreamed of experiencing the quiet elegance and poetic charm of West Lake, and staying at YAGU Resort Hangzhou truly exceeded my expectations. Nestled right by the lake, every view from the windows feels like a painting—morning mist drifting across the water, golden sunsets glowing over Leifeng Pagoda. The resort is surrounded by lush greenery and gentle trickling streams, creating a serene escape from city life. From check-in to checkout, the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Special shoutout to Mr. He at reception—he went above and beyond, personally escorting me to my room while sharing fascinating insights about the property and nearby attractions. When a small issue came up during my stay, he handled it quickly and thoughtfully. Breakfast was a highlight: a well-curated mix of Chinese and Western options, with standout dishes like freshly made lotus root paste and Dingsheng cake—delicate, sweet, and perfect with a cup of Longjing tea to start the day. The on-site restaurant serves exquisite Jiangnan fusion cuisine. The signature fish head dish is a masterpiece—blending classic Hangzhou flavors with modern techniques, where the aroma of fresh fragrant bamboo shoots dances with the savory depth of ham. I also enjoyed afternoon tea at the lounge, set in a beautifully designed space with panoramic views. The rooms are a thoughtful blend of traditional Chinese garden aesthetics and smart technology. The wooden furnishings, soft lighting, and top-quality bedding (rumored to be from the renowned Kingsdown brand) made for an incredibly restful night’s sleep. Complimentary mini-bar, cozy reading nooks, and a tranquil tea lounge add to the peaceful vibe. I indulged in a spa treatment—the therapist was gentle and skilled, leaving me completely relaxed. Just steps away, the fitness center and indoor pool are spotless and well-equipped, ideal for staying active during a trip. What really sets this place apart is its incredible value. For a luxury experience this refined, the price point feels refreshingly accessible. Whether you're traveling as a couple, with family, or on business, there's something here for everyone. And bonus? The included 3 free professional photoshoots—stunning shots against the resort’s picturesque backdrop, expertly captured by a talented photographer. I can’t recommend this place enough to anyone seeking beauty, comfort, and soulful hospitality. I’ll definitely be back the next time I visit Hangzhou.
