I found Golden House Hotel, made the reservation immediately, and paid upfront. Then on June 13th, I received a message that my booking had been canceled—no warning, no explanation, just gone. It caused me a lot of stress trying to find another hotel last minute, and prices had doubled by then. I was extremely disappointed. Even more frustrating was realizing that my original room was still available for booking on their website. This lack of communication and transparency really damaged my trust in the platform. I expected better from a service that claims to be reliable.

The hotel is built across multiple levels, which adds character but does mean some walking between floors. One highlight? The pool is accessible almost anytime, which came in handy after late-night arrivals from excursions to Krasnaya Polyana and the Olympic Park. Free beach towels are also available. The municipal beach “Albatros” is easily reachable via shuttle transfer—though walking up from there can be tough due to the steep incline. Huge thanks to driver Sergey—he was incredibly attentive and helpful. The staff throughout the property felt warm and welcoming, like family. Getting around town is simple: catch buses 4 or 7 (about 15 minutes to the port or Riviera Park). If you walk to Vinogradnaya Street, more bus and minibus options open up.
