The location is perfect—just a 10-minute walk from the bustling Datang Fubin Night Market, the Chang’an Twelve Hours experience, and the beautiful Daming Palace Park. No need for taxis; everything is within easy reach on foot. I was there during my birthday, and the hotel went above and beyond—surprised me with a delicious cake and even decorated the room with care. It felt truly special. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering a wide variety of options, including authentic local favorites like lamb stewed bread (yang rou pao mo), meat-filled buns (rou jia mo), Biangbiang noodles, and Zengao. Plus, the garden features two gorgeous peacocks that stroll around peacefully—perfect for photos. The room itself was spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable, with soft bedding and complimentary sleep aids like herbal pillows and sachets. The view outside the window was stunning, especially at night when the Big Wild Goose Pagoda lights up. I’d definitely come back again. Special shoutout to service staff Bingyue—so friendly, helpful, and attentive. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Xi'an!

We stayed at Mehood Hotel (Xi'an Dayan Pagoda Great Tang All Day Mall Branch) during the off-season with our kids, and it was a fantastic experience overall. From the moment we walked in, the front desk staff greeted us with warm welcome tea—during winter, they even offered a soothing pear and rock sugar drink to help with dryness. They also provided little kid-sized slippers, which my children loved. Room service was prompt, and everything arrived quickly. The breakfast buffet was delicious, but I have to say the fried eggs were absolutely outstanding—perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, soft inside. The hotel has a free parking lot, which made exploring the city by car super convenient. We were disappointed we couldn’t get tickets to the Shaanxi History Museum—it’s notoriously hard to book—but the front desk staff immediately suggested some great alternative attractions that were perfect for families. Their recommendations were thoughtful and helpful. With its excellent location near the Tang Paradise area, friendly staff, and attention to detail, this hotel offers incredible value. Definitely a top pick if you're visiting Xi’an with kids.

This is hands down the best choice for my trip to Xi'an! WOW Courtyard Hotel at Tang Paradise and Giant Wild Goose Pagoda location is unbeatable—just a 3-minute walk to both attractions. After a night out exploring the vibrant streets, I could stroll back to my room with the evening breeze, no hassle or transportation stress. The room was spotless, with soft, comfortable bedding that made for a restful night. The bathroom features excellent dry/wet separation—super practical and always stays clean. The front desk staff went above and beyond: they gave me clear pickup tips nearby and even shared smart local recommendations for sightseeing and photo spots. Despite being in a bustling area, the hotel feels surprisingly quiet and peaceful. It’s the perfect balance of convenience and calm. The resident cat duo, named Chuyi and Shiwu, greet you with adorable curiosity, while the friendly Great Pyrenees dog (a gentle giant!) adds to the homely vibe. The amenities are thoughtfully provided: a secure parking area, laundry facilities, a fully equipped kitchen, and a sunny garden drying zone. Plus, 24-hour concierge service means help is always just a call away. Guan Erjie Boutique Homestay (Huimin Street of Xi'an Bell Tower )

I ended up staying four nights in a row and never once considered switching—this place truly exceeded all expectations. When I first booked, I had planned to stay just one night and switch if the experience wasn’t great, but after that first evening, I knew I’d be sticking around. The location is fantastic—right in the heart of the action with countless authentic Xi’an street food options just steps away. It’s only a 5-minute walk to the Huan Guang Gate Wall, and nearby Xiananmen Morning Market was closed during our visit (a bit disappointing), but getting to Sa Jin Qiao by taxi cost just the base fare. Despite being tucked into a lively alleyway, the guesthouse is remarkably quiet—perfect for a restful stay. Our family room was spacious, with a cozy balcony perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring. We were stuck indoors due to constant rain throughout the National Day holiday, so we couldn’t visit many attractions—but honestly, we didn’t mind at all. The atmosphere here made it feel like home. The host, a kind young man, went above and beyond with his warmth and attention to detail. I’m truly sorry if my kids caused any disturbance to other guests—I appreciate your understanding. If I ever return to Xi’an, this will absolutely be my top choice again. A gem hidden in plain sight.

We brought our dog along, which usually causes a lot of stress when booking accommodations—but not here. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with an incredibly clean and thoughtfully designed space. The ground floor lounge has a cozy coffee corner where you can relax and even hang out with the resident cats—such a nice touch. What truly stood out was how welcoming and pet-friendly the staff were. When we went out exploring local attractions, they happily looked after our dog, letting it roam freely in the common area as if it were part of the family. It felt like our furry friend was spoiled rotten! The room itself was spotless, beautifully furnished, and set in a standalone villa, so opening the window brought in fresh air and peaceful views of greenery outside. Every detail was considered—from individually packaged toiletries to high-quality towels and slippers. No unpleasant odors, no clutter, just pure comfort. We genuinely didn’t want to check out. I couldn’t be happier with my stay at Mancheng Homestay! What truly stood out was the location: walking distance to both Tang Paradise and the lively Night City area. I spent my days exploring the beautiful gardens of Tang Paradise and evenings enjoying vibrant street lights, live performances, and local food stalls in the Night City. After a full day of sightseeing, strolling back to the hotel felt peaceful and effortless. Easy access to public transit made everything even more convenient. Platinum wan'ao Victory Hotel

Our 8-day self-drive trip across Shaanxi ended with a stay at Platinum Wan'ao Victory Hotel in Xi'an, and overall, it was an excellent choice. The location is incredibly convenient—right across from Hepingmen Metro Station, just a 50-meter walk away, making public transit access seamless for exploring the city. The hotel faces the ancient city wall directly, and it’s only about a 1.7-kilometer stroll to Yongning Gate if you want to walk along the wall—a pleasant way to enjoy the historic surroundings. Upon check-in, the front desk proactively upgraded us to a larger room, which made a big difference: spacious enough to comfortably unpack and move around, and ideal for family travel. Cleanliness was spot-on, meeting standard expectations without any issues. One minor drawback is the parking situation—being a multi-level garage, it’s not the most user-friendly, especially for larger vehicles, though my compact car navigated it easily. Breakfast was decent but not particularly impressive by luxury hotel standards—nothing overly elaborate, and we didn’t receive a third breakfast for our parents, which was slightly disappointing since this was one of only two hotels on the entire trip that didn’t offer it. Still, considering the excellent location, helpful staff, room comfort, and overall value, it’s hard not to give high praise. For travelers prioritizing convenience and a solid base in central Xi’an, this hotel is a strong recommendation.
