As one of the city’s historic business hotels—originally opening in 1984 as China’s first Holiday Inn—the property carries a legacy that’s both respected and evident in its charm. While it's not right in the heart of downtown, it’s incredibly convenient for key areas like Wangjing Business District, Taikoo Place, Parkview Green, Yishan Commercial Zone, the embassy area, and even Beijing Capital International Airport. The location makes it ideal for both business travelers and tourists. Even though it’s part of the Metropark brand, guests can still earn IHG Rewards points and enjoy member benefits—a nice perk many might not expect. The hotel has a bit of vintage character in its design, but it’s far from outdated; rooms are spacious and well-maintained, with Balmain amenities that add a touch of luxury. The scent of the toiletries is subtle yet refreshing. Most impressively, every staff member I encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful—going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. This isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s an experience worth repeating.

Even though the hotel looks like just a two-star property from the outside, the service truly exceeded my expectations. It's incredibly close to Beijing Capital Airport—right when I arrived, they even gave me clear instructions on which exit to take for the quickest access. The room was spacious and comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised by a complimentary upgrade. Daily free sodas and bottled water are a nice touch. One of the best features? There’s a free laundry machine on the premises—perfect for longer stays or business trips. This little detail made my entire stay in Beijing much more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back to Huashang Hotel next time I visit Beijing. Great value, great location, and genuine hospitality.

We booked this hotel for a Jin Jun Jie concert in Beijing and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The room was spotless, cozy, and incredibly comfortable—perfect after a long day of concerts and exploring. It’s just a short walk from Jiangtai Subway Station, which is super convenient if you’re on a budget or prefer to walk. I stayed on the second floor without an elevator, but since my luggage was light, carrying it up wasn’t an issue at all. What really stood out was the front desk staff—super friendly and proactive. Lately, my go-to has been the Executive Room at Kempinski Hotel Beijing Yansha Center, and it’s quickly become my cherished weekend ritual. Sure, the room is more compact compared to other luxury hotels, but the view of the Liangma River from the window makes every moment feel special—so serene, so picturesque, I can’t help but linger by the window. The highlight? The lounge’s afternoon tea and dinner. The food is exceptional—rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and far beyond what you’d expect at many five-star properties. On New Year’s Day, I was delighted to see service staff Feng Xiangchao again. He remembered my preference for warm dishes and kindly heated up the seafood before serving—such thoughtful attention to detail. The next day, another team member, He Xu, took time to recommend the best desserts and gently reminded parents to watch the kids—small things that show how genuinely care about guests’ comfort. During dinner, I met a couple with their child, who shared they also make it a habit to visit a luxury hotel every weekend. After trying several places, they keep coming back to Kempinski—not just for the food or rooms, but because of the warmth, the genuine hospitality, and that sense of home. To my great relief, every staff member involved—from housekeeping team member Shiyuan, shift manager Zhang Lei, security officer Qin Yanling, to front desk agent Zoey—went above and beyond to help locate and return my belongings. Not only was everything recovered, but the cash remained untouched. Under the leadership of Manager Bai Lu, this team demonstrated an outstanding level of integrity, professionalism, and dedication. It’s rare to encounter such genuine care and responsibility in a luxury hotel setting. This experience made me fall even more in love with InterContinental, especially this property in Sanlitun. It reminded me of the bustling crowds I saw during Lunar New Year at Guangzhou’s China Hotel, which made me realize how vibrant and well-attended this property truly is. The design touches, especially the lighting fixtures, perfectly capture a modern yet uplifting sense of prosperity—very stylish and thoughtful. Everything was spotlessly clean, and despite being in the heart of Beijing, the rooms were remarkably quiet and peaceful, offering a true escape from the city buzz. The staff went above and beyond with their service—attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. Breakfast was generous and delicious, though some of the condiments could have had clearer labeling for guests. Overall, ending the year at a hotel that carries the name 'China' felt symbolic and fitting. A memorable stay from start to finish.
