Just a 3-4 minute walk from the hotel, you can find renowned spots like Yuxingji Su-style Noodle House, Zhu Hongxing Noodle Shop, and the legendary Ya Ba Shengjian Buns in Xinzhengyuan. I also tried Xinhuaxi Beef Noodle Soup—it was delicious and definitely worth a visit. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, the lobby was bright and clean, and the room itself was spotless and well-maintained. Everything felt fresh and comfortable. It’s such a convenient base for exploring the city while enjoying authentic local food. Highly recommend this hotel for travelers who value location, cleanliness, and good service.

While some areas of the hotel are still under renovation, it didn’t affect the overall quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The surroundings are calm and free from noise, perfect for a good night’s rest. Stayed at Suyuan Hotel during my visit to Suzhou, and I was genuinely impressed. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming—when they noticed we had a young child, they proactively offered us a larger twin room with plenty of space, which made our family stay much more comfortable. The room facilities were standard but well-maintained; the bathtub was a big hit with my little one, who spent ages splashing around. The air conditioning worked perfectly—the temperature was just right for autumn, so we didn’t need to crank it up too high. One of the highlights was the large koi pond in the courtyard, where we could buy fish food and feed the colorful fish. My child loved it and couldn’t stop smiling while watching them swim. The entire place was clean and well-kept with no lingering odors or hygiene issues. Overall, this is a great value-for-money option, especially for families. I’d definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Suzhou.

Four Points by Sheraton Suzhou, Wuzhong

The hotel overall is excellent—comfortable rooms, great amenities, and friendly staff. While it’s a bit of a walk from the nearest subway station, it’s manageable and not a major issue. Breakfast was decent with a variety of options, but the coffee and tea were disappointing. The coffee was extremely weak—by far the weakest I’ve had in any hotel stay. The black tea tasted more like colored water than actual tea, and there were no fresh tea bags available for brewing. It really brought down the experience, especially since other aspects of the stay were so positive. That said, the room comfort, cleanliness, and service all exceeded expectations. Definitely worth staying again if they can upgrade the beverage offerings.

That was such a thoughtful touch! The room itself is spacious, and the bedding is incredibly comfortable—perfect for a restful night’s sleep. I originally booked without breakfast, but this unexpected upgrade made the experience even better. The overall value is outstanding. Suzhou is already a lovely city, but this hotel truly makes it stand out. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

I booked this hotel for a friend, and they were really impressed with the stay! While the building might look a bit dated, the practicality more than makes up for it. The room itself was spacious with all the essentials, and the bathroom layout was well thought out. Parking was a big plus—ample spots both above and below ground, and the process was simple: just scan your parking voucher at reception. Everything ran smoothly. Overall, this place offers excellent value for money, comfort, and convenience. I’d definitely recommend it and would stay here again on my next trip to Suzhou.
