The atmosphere is romantic and charming, especially at night. Staff have been consistently friendly, and on my third visit, I was pleasantly surprised to meet someone who spoke fluent Chinese—huge help! Their service keeps improving, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Despite the quirky name, this place is seriously legit—lots of international travelers stay here. Breakfast is simple but filling; if you're expecting a wide variety or large portions, it might feel a bit limited, but it definitely satisfies hunger. Overall, an outstanding experience. Despite the minor noise issue, I had an overall fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Hanoi.

The only redeeming factor was the central location, but beyond that, there wasn't much to recommend. The property felt extremely outdated and poorly maintained. The room had a strong musty smell, almost like urine, and our bathroom flooded due to a faulty bidet—housekeeping wasn’t available until the next day to fix it. Both showers were covered in mold, and the water pressure was inconsistent, causing water to spill outside the shower area. We were promised a basketball hoop for fun, but it was lying on the floor and completely non-functional. The pool, which was actually the main reason we booked, was underwhelming and didn’t meet expectations. I never felt comfortable throughout the stay—I even wore slippers all the time because the floors felt dirty. The bed linens had visible stains, and again, we had to wait until the next day for replacement since housekeeping had already left. If you're okay with hostel-level standards and don’t mind paying premium prices for a subpar experience, then maybe this is an option. But personally, we won’t be recommending it to anyone.
