Novotel Xi an The Bell Tower Hotel

Staying at Novotel Xi'an The Bell Tower Hotel was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Exit H of Bell Tower Metro Station, and it's only one stop to Guangji Station for easy access to the bustling Muslim Quarter. Step outside and you're face-to-face with the iconic Bell Tower—perfect for photos and soaking in the historic vibe. The staff, from security to front desk and laundry team, were all friendly, professional, and attentive without being overbearing. Breakfast was fantastic—daily rotating menu with fresh, diverse options that kept us excited every morning. My parents especially loved the afternoon tea service; after a long day of exploring, returning to a cozy corner with a warm drink and light bites was pure bliss. This hotel delivers on comfort, convenience, and charm. I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Xi’an—and I’ll definitely be back.

Platinum wan'ao Victory Hotel

Our 8-day self-drive trip across Shaanxi ended with a stay at Platinum Wan'ao Victory Hotel in Xi'an, and overall, it was an excellent choice. The location is incredibly convenient—right across from Hepingmen Metro Station, just a 50-meter walk away, making public transit access seamless for exploring the city. The hotel faces the ancient city wall directly, and it’s only about a 1.7-kilometer stroll to Yongning Gate if you want to walk along the wall—a pleasant way to enjoy the historic surroundings. Upon check-in, the front desk proactively upgraded us to a larger room, which made a big difference: spacious enough to comfortably unpack and move around, and ideal for family travel. Cleanliness was spot-on, meeting standard expectations without any issues. One minor drawback is the parking situation—being a multi-level garage, it’s not the most user-friendly, especially for larger vehicles, though my compact car navigated it easily. Breakfast was decent but not particularly impressive by luxury hotel standards—nothing overly elaborate, and we didn’t receive a third breakfast for our parents, which was slightly disappointing since this was one of only two hotels on the entire trip that didn’t offer it. Still, considering the excellent location, helpful staff, room comfort, and overall value, it’s hard not to give high praise. For travelers prioritizing convenience and a solid base in central Xi’an, this hotel is a strong recommendation.

My first visit to Xi'an turned out to be an unforgettable stay at HUALUXE Xi'an Tanghua by IHG. The location is perfect—just a 10-minute walk from the bustling Datang Fubin Night Market, the Chang’an Twelve Hours experience, and the beautiful Daming Palace Park. No need for taxis; everything is within easy reach on foot. I was there during my birthday, and the hotel went above and beyond—surprised me with a delicious cake and even decorated the room with care. It felt truly special. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering a wide variety of options, including authentic local favorites like lamb stewed bread (yang rou pao mo), meat-filled buns (rou jia mo), Biangbiang noodles, and Zengao. Plus, the garden features two gorgeous peacocks that stroll around peacefully—perfect for photos. The room itself was spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable, with soft bedding and complimentary sleep aids like herbal pillows and sachets. The view outside the window was stunning, especially at night when the Big Wild Goose Pagoda lights up. I’d definitely come back again. Special shoutout to service staff Bingyue—so friendly, helpful, and attentive. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Xi'an!

The hotel’s location is perfect—just a short walk from Xishao Men Metro Station and close to the airport bus stop, so getting around was super convenient. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, but what really stood out was the indoor pool—it’s quiet, well-maintained, and perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. And the restaurant’s grilled dishes? Absolutely delicious—fresh ingredients, great flavor, and worth trying if you’re here. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable: just a 3-minute walk to the metro station, steps from Shai Ge Mall, and within a 3-kilometer radius of major attractions like the Great Wild Goose Pagoda, Shaanxi History Museum, and Tang Paradise. We loved using the complimentary fitness center and the kids’ play area—perfect for families. Bonus perks like free parking and late check-out made our experience even smoother. Dining was another high point—the Jue Wei Restaurant served beautifully crafted Chinese dishes, while Yue West Restaurant offered a diverse buffet with both Eastern and Western flavors. Whether traveling for business, family fun, or a weekend getaway with friends, this hotel hits all the right notes. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I visit Xi'an.

Location-wise, it’s absolutely perfect—just steps from the old town, with easy access to the ancient city wall and the bustling Muslim Quarter. Walking to local street food spots is a breeze, and the metro station right outside means commuting to work is fast and hassle-free without needing a taxi. I especially loved the ground-floor coffee—it’s way better than any takeaway I’ve had lately. There’s also a great selection of authentic local eats nearby, giving the area a real local vibe. If I ever bring my family on a trip to Xi’an, this will be my first choice again. Highly recommend for both business and leisure travelers.

The location of Wyndham Grand Xi’an South is absolutely perfect! The hotel’s side entrance leads straight into the Tang Paradise Night Market, and it’s just a 10-minute walk to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda—ideal for evening strolls. The staff, especially Zoe and Kiko at reception, were incredibly attentive and thoughtful—they even provided kids’ toiletries without being asked. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and the bedding was wonderfully comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep. Great for families, as I felt completely at ease traveling with my children. Breakfast offered a wide variety of both Chinese and Western options—plenty of choices and delicious quality. One small downside: the key card doesn’t allow charging after removal, which was slightly inconvenient. But honestly, this minor issue doesn’t take away from an outstanding experience. If you’re visiting Xi’an, this hotel should be at the top of your list.

Sofitel Xi'an on Renmin Square

This was my second stay at this hotel, and I’m happy to say everything lived up to expectations—plus, I got upgraded to a larger room! The suite is spacious with excellent layout and well-maintained amenities. The only minor issue was the hot water in the bathtub—it didn’t get quite hot enough for my taste. Breakfast was a highlight: the local Xi’an dishes had authentic flavor, though not overly standout; however, the Western breakfast options were impressive—fresh, varied, and high quality. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—just a short walk from the Bell and Drum Towers, and very convenient access to the Wukou Metro Station. The surrounding area has plenty of dining options and daily necessities. Overall, a fantastic experience with great value for money. I’ll definitely be returning when I come back to Xi’an.
