Staying at Road Lodge Sandton was an absolute delight! The room was spotlessly clean and meticulously maintained—every detail felt thoughtfully designed for comfort. Located just a 200-meter walk from a well-connected shopping center, everything I needed was within easy reach: groceries, snacks, clothing, and even a few great dining options. The location is unbeatable—super convenient for both exploring the city and enjoying a quiet retreat. Being in a secure, affluent neighborhood added peace of mind, especially during evening walks. Public transport access is excellent, making it simple to get around Johannesburg without needing a car. Overall, this place delivers on every front—cleanliness, convenience, safety, and value. A truly standout stay that I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting Sandton.
My stay at Melrose Hideout B&B was truly memorable despite a minor issue that arose during the booking process. Thanks to the platform’s prompt and professional support, the refund was resolved quickly and smoothly—no stress at all. The property itself is charming, nestled in a quiet yet convenient part of Johannesburg, close to dining and attractions. The staff were warm and attentive, and the room was clean, cozy, and well-appointed. It’s clear this place values guest experience. I’d absolutely recommend it and plan to return on my next trip to Johannesburg.
I stayed at Ecomotel Grayston (formerly Sun1 Wynberg) for one night and overall, it was a decent experience for a budget motel. The location is excellent—close to public transit and surrounded by restaurants and shops, making it very convenient for exploring Johannesburg. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, always willing to assist with any request. However, the rooms themselves are quite small and lacked basic amenities like a minibar or cooling storage, which was a bit inconvenient. The shower had a tiny control knob for adjusting water temperature, and getting warm water took some time—frustrating after a long day. Also, the photos online are misleading; they make the room look much larger and more spacious than it actually is. In reality, only your head and lower legs would be visible in the frame. There was also an incident where a group was locked out of their room, and despite reaching out, reception didn’t resolve it promptly. Still, considering the price point, it’s a solid option if you're looking for a no-frills, functional stay with good service and great access to the city.
The Inn & Out Sandton is an absolute gem in Johannesburg! Right in the heart of Sandton, it's incredibly convenient for both business and leisure travelers. The rooms are spotless, fresh, and well-maintained—every detail feels thoughtfully considered. I loved how quiet and peaceful the space was, even with all the city buzz nearby. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable, always smiling and ready to help. Easy access to shopping, dining, and public transport made everything seamless. It’s rare to find such a clean, welcoming, and well-located hotel at this price point. I’ll definitely be coming back—this place truly delivers on every level.
I stayed at Fernrez@363 Hostel during my time working around Sandton, and I must say it was a great choice. The location is super convenient—just a short walk from the city center and easy to reach via public transport. The hostel itself is quiet and peaceful, which made it perfect for relaxing after a long day at work. It's also very affordable, offering solid value for money without compromising on comfort. Khethiwe, the staff member I interacted with, was incredibly helpful and always went the extra mile to accommodate my needs. Knowing I could rely on them made my stay stress-free, especially when juggling a busy schedule. While the place isn’t flashy, it’s clean, well-maintained, and offers a welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking for a reliable, no-fuss base in Johannesburg with friendly service and good value, this is definitely worth considering.
We arrived quite late, but the staff still managed to check us in without any hassle. The pool was spotless and we made great use of it the next day—it was perfect for relaxing after a long day. The kitchen was fully equipped and self-catering, which made preparing meals super convenient. The team went above and beyond with their warm welcome; they truly made us feel at home. We especially loved the braai area and the peaceful garden space—ideal for chilling out or gathering with friends. Everything about the stay was excellent, from the cleanliness to the hospitality. This place has definitely earned a spot on our list for future trips to Johannesburg.
The building itself is a well-constructed modern apartment block with a solid feel and good overall quality. It's conveniently located near shops, restaurants, and other amenities, making it easy to get around without needing a car. However, one thing to note is that some units are managed by a third-party company that prioritizes cost-saving measures—this means the furnishings can be basic or even second-hand, and there’s no consistency between rooms. If you’re sensitive to dust, allergens, or have specific needs around cleanliness, this could be an issue. That said, if you're not particularly sensitive, the location and basic comfort make it a decent option for budget travelers looking for something simple and functional. Just keep in mind that your experience may vary depending on which unit you end up in.
The hotel has a slightly vintage decor, but it's well-maintained and feels clean and welcoming throughout. The rooms are spacious—definitely more than average—and the underground parking is a huge plus for convenience and security. Breakfast was exceptional: fresh, abundant, and delicious with a great variety of options. The on-site restaurant stands out too—elegant yet cozy, with thoughtful dishes and friendly service. Even though the style leans classic, the attention to detail and comfort makes it feel modern in spirit. A fantastic choice if you're looking for a reliable, high-quality stay in Sandton.
If I could give more than 10 stars, I would have absolutely done it here—this place was truly exceptional! Nestled in a luxurious neighborhood, the area feels safe and peaceful, while the villa itself is beautifully appointed with tasteful decor and stunning artwork throughout. It’s the perfect retreat if you’re looking for tranquility, security, discreet hospitality, indulgent experiences, great food, and just a little movement—all without being far from attractions, thanks to affordable Uber rides. We had the best breakfasts of our entire three-week trip across South Africa (and 11 different stays!), plus memorable lunches and dinners featuring creative, standout dishes and surprisingly affordable wines. On our final day, we treated ourselves to a duo relaxation massage—perfectly arranged and utterly blissful. We stayed in the Cliffside room: spacious, elegant, with a gorgeous bathroom, private terrace, and garden overlooking the cliff. We even climbed up to the top for breathtaking panoramic views—absolutely unforgettable. The main pool area, with its incredibly comfortable loungers, wrapped up the experience perfectly. The staff are incredibly kind and professional, striking the ideal balance between boutique hotel charm and private villa freedom—so you can unwind without feeling isolated or confined. If we ever return to Johannesburg, this will be our first choice without hesitation.
Staying at The Leonardo in Johannesburg was an absolute delight. The hotel’s central location makes it a breeze to explore the city—just steps away from a major shopping complex, so dining, shopping, and sightseeing are all within easy reach. The room was spotless and professionally cleaned every day, which made for a truly comfortable stay. The staff went above and beyond with their friendly, helpful attitude—always smiling, always ready to assist. One highlight I can’t recommend enough is dinner at Aurum, the hotel’s on-site restaurant. The food is exceptional, the ambiance sophisticated yet welcoming, and the service attentive without being intrusive. It’s a must-visit experience when you’re here. Overall, this place delivers on every level—perfect for both business and leisure travelers seeking quality, comfort, and convenience.
Staying at Davinci Suites was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Johannesburg, with everything you need just a short walk away. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. Every detail of the hotel, from the art-inspired design to the cozy, well-appointed rooms, felt thoughtfully curated. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. It’s rare to find such a welcoming atmosphere combined with modern elegance. This place truly delivers on every level—highly recommend for anyone visiting Johannesburg.
Staying at The Capital on the Park in Johannesburg was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location is perfect—just steps away from the park, offering a peaceful retreat right in the heart of the city. The facilities are top-notch: the swimming pool is clean and inviting, the gym is well-equipped with modern machines, and the overall design of the hotel exudes elegance and comfort. I was particularly impressed by the high level of security and cleanliness—everything felt spotless, from the rooms to the public areas. The front desk staff went above and beyond with their friendly and professional service, always ready to help with local tips or booking assistance. Breakfast was a highlight—abundant, fresh, and healthy, with a great mix of international and local options. It's clear this hotel values guest experience. With its unbeatable combination of style, comfort, and service, it’s definitely one of the best stays I’ve had in Johannesburg. Highly recommended!
