Staying at The Roseate Edinburgh was a truly memorable experience. While it didn’t stand out dramatically over our previous night’s accommodation, the unique charm of being housed within a historic castle made all the difference. The atmosphere is quiet and serene—perfect for unwinding after a busy day exploring the city. Rooms were clean, well-appointed, and surprisingly peaceful, with excellent sound insulation. The surrounding area is pleasant too—cozy cafés, local shops, and easy access to public transport make getting around hassle-free. It’s not just a place to sleep; it feels like stepping into a story. Great value, great location, and an unforgettable stay overall.
Staying at the voco Edinburgh - Haymarket was a perfect balance between city convenience and peaceful retreat. The hotel is centrally located, just a short walk from major attractions and a quick subway ride away, yet the rooms are remarkably quiet—thanks to the windows that open slightly and the whisper-quiet air conditioning. Everything in the room felt clean and thoughtfully equipped: tea bags, biscuits, coffee, and even chocolate drinks were available. They even provided slippers in the bathroom, which was a nice touch. The view from the window was stunning, offering a beautiful glimpse of the city skyline. Breakfast was fantastic—plenty of options, including boiled eggs, and authentic Scottish specialties that truly stood out. Dinner was equally impressive, so much so that I decided to have a meal there right before heading to the airport. When I had any questions, the front desk staff responded promptly and with great care. Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations. If I ever return to Edinburgh, I’d absolutely book here again.
Staying at Mercure Edinburgh Haymarket was an absolute pleasure. As a well-known chain, the hotel delivers consistent quality—clean rooms, modern amenities, and friendly staff. The location is unbeatable: just a 10-minute walk to Haymarket Station, making it super easy to hop on the subway for quick access across the city. The airport tram stops right outside the station, so getting to the airport is seamless—just a 15-minute ride with no transfers needed. Plus, major attractions like St. Giles Cathedral and the Royal Mile are all within a 10-minute walk, perfect for exploring on foot. There’s also a bus stop right in front of the hotel, connecting you to key sights without hassle. Whether you're here for sightseeing or business, this hotel offers excellent value, great convenience, and a stress-free stay.
This hotel exceeded all my expectations! The room was immaculately clean, with a sparkling bathroom that felt fresh and well-maintained. What stood out the most was the excellent soundproofing—no noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms, even late at night. I appreciated the small on-site lounge area with drinks available; grabbing a drink in the evening and enjoying it back in my room was such a nice little treat. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the city center and close to public transit. It’s not just convenient, but also offers great value for money. I’ve stayed at many hotels across Europe, and this one truly stands out. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I visit Edinburgh—and I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a modern, comfortable stay.
Staying at B+B Edinburgh was an absolute delight! While it’s a bit outside the city center, its proximity to Dean Village makes it feel like a hidden gem. The moment you step outside, you’re surrounded by charming streets and peaceful greenery—perfect for a morning stroll. The view from the window is simply breathtaking, especially in the early hours when the sunlight filters through the trees. Inside, the room is beautifully designed with high-quality furnishings and thoughtful touches throughout. Breakfast was outstanding—rich in local flavors, freshly prepared, and offered a variety of authentic Scottish options. It felt more like a personalized experience than just a meal. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but everything about this place—from the serene location to the attention to detail—justifies the cost. If you're looking for a quiet, stylish retreat with a touch of authenticity, this is absolutely worth it.
Staying at Duthus Lodge Guest House was an absolute delight! The villa is stunning, nestled in a quiet yet convenient spot with a bus stop right outside—perfect for getting around Edinburgh without needing a car. Corena, the host, was incredibly welcoming and attentive. But what truly made our stay exceptional was David, the manager. He’s genuinely one of a kind—always proactive, thoughtful, and ready to solve any little issue before it even arose. What stood out most? He’s half-Italian, half-Scottish and speaks fluent Italian, so chatting with him felt completely natural and personal. It was such a special touch that made us feel truly at home. From the cozy atmosphere to the warm hospitality, every detail was perfect. This isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s an experience. I’d come back in a heartbeat.
Staying at this cozy apartment in Edinburgh’s Canning Street Lane felt like coming home. The space was generously sized, spotlessly clean, and matched the photos exactly—no surprises. Perfect for my husband and me with plenty of room to relax. The in-unit washer and dryer were a game-changer, especially on longer trips when laundry piles up. Communication with the team was prompt and friendly—any questions I had were answered quickly and helpfully. From the warm welcome to the seamless experience, everything about this stay was outstanding. It’s not just a place to sleep; it’s a comfortable, thoughtful retreat that makes you want to come back. Highly recommended.
Staying at Hampton by Hilton Edinburgh West End was a real highlight of my trip. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the city center and within easy reach of public transport. While the sofa bed does take up a bit more space when unfolded, it didn’t affect my comfort at all. The breakfast options were simple but fresh and delicious—especially when I made my own waffles in the room, which turned out surprisingly tasty! There’s a great little Chinese restaurant and a supermarket right nearby, making daily essentials super convenient. Yes, the booking price was a bit on the higher side, but everything else—the cleanliness, staff friendliness, and overall vibe—made it totally worth it. I’d definitely stay here again.
Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Princes Street, making it super convenient for exploring the city. Check-in was smooth and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a highlight—fresh, well-prepared, and offered a good variety to suit different tastes. The room itself was clean, spacious, and had a subtle, pleasant scent that made the atmosphere relaxing. Everything about the experience felt thoughtfully done, from the decor to the little touches. It’s a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and value. I’d definitely book here again on my next visit to Edinburgh—highly recommend!
Staying at The Bonham was an excellent experience overall. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the city center and well-connected by public transit. The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully designed with modern touches. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the breakfast spread was impressive with fresh options including made-to-order eggs—perfect for starting the day. One downside was the 12.5% fee applied to all purchases made through the platform, which felt a bit unexpected and not clearly communicated upfront. Still, despite that, the quality of the hotel, service, and value for money made it worth it. I’d definitely recommend and stay here again.
This Hapimag Resort in Edinburgh was an absolute delight—far beyond what I expected from a city known for pricey accommodations. Located just west of Princes Street, it’s incredibly walkable to shops and attractions, and there’s a fantastic Vietnamese pho spot right nearby that I ended up visiting twice. The room was a spacious suite with a generous seating area, a dedicated wardrobe, and an impressive bathroom—large, immaculate, and beautifully designed, complete with a relaxing whirlpool tub. Despite being on the second basement level, the room had a lovely view of a small hillside and even caught stunning sunset views through the window. It felt bright and airy, not at all damp or gloomy like some other hotels I’ve stayed in. The bed was plush and comfortable, the vanity was practical, and every detail felt thoughtfully curated. The hotel’s interior is wonderfully vintage with artwork from various countries and elegant porcelain displays—truly unique and full of character. Staff were courteous and flexible, always ready to assist. Breakfast isn’t included, but you can pre-order pastries delivered to your room—a nice convenience. Entry requires a key card, which adds a great sense of security. Only note: front desk isn’t staffed 24/7, so try to check in earlier if possible—though they’ll leave a contact number if you’re arriving late. With only 30 suites, this place fills up fast—book ahead! Overall, it’s a hidden gem with exceptional style, comfort, and value. A truly memorable stay.
I can't recommend this place enough. Nestled in the charming Bruntsfield area of Edinburgh, it's just a 20-minute walk through the peaceful Meadow to the city centre—perfect for a relaxed stroll. The property sits at the end of a beautiful row of classic Edinburgh terraced homes and comes with four to five dedicated parking spaces, which is a huge plus. Inside, the house is beautifully decorated in a stylish Anglo-French-Scottish blend that truly reflects the taste of the owner, Lydie—a French native who’s now a proud long-time resident of Scotland. My room was spacious, thoughtfully furnished with a comfortable, generously sized bed, a cozy sofa, and a small window-side table ideal for two. The ensuite bathroom was perfectly sized, and the shower delivered strong, consistently hot water—just what you need after a long day. The entire home was spotless, down to the smallest detail. From the warm hospitality to the impeccable cleanliness and unique character, I’d absolutely stay here again without hesitation.
