Stayed here for a night and was thoroughly impressed! The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped—perfect for preparing breakfast on your own. The multiple security access points gave me peace of mind, especially as a solo traveler. The quiet atmosphere made for a restful night’s sleep. Everything I wanted was within walking distance—major attractions, cafes, and even a supermarket nearby. No need to rely on transport at all. It’s such a convenient base for exploring Edinburgh. With the great value and comfortable stay, I’d definitely book again. Highly recommended!
The service here was absolutely outstanding—every request was handled with care and no inconvenience was ever an issue. My bridal morning was made even more special when they left a bottle of sparkling wine for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. The room itself is spacious, immaculately clean, and well-equipped with everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. It’s clear that attention to detail is a top priority. I’d definitely book again if I’m ever back in Edinburgh. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and beautifully maintained stay.
This was the perfect spot for our stay in Edinburgh. Walking distance to restaurants and tourist spots like Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. Great pubs nearby and easy access to transportation. Communication and cleanliness were great! Only minor criticisms were limited toilet paper left and the wifi was very slow.
Staying at The Malt House Apartments was an absolute delight during my visit to Edinburgh. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the Castle, Usher Hall, and Princess Street, making it super convenient for exploring the city on foot. I also appreciated how close it was to Haymarket Railway Station, which made my departure stress-free. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a cozy atmosphere that made it feel like home. Perfect for a weekend getaway or even a longer stay. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great base in central Edinburgh. Truly a gem!
My wife and I just wrapped up an unforgettable trip to Edinburgh, and staying at Bield B&B was one of the highlights. The arrival wasn’t without its drama—facing a rowdy group of school kids at the bus stop—but the host swiftly contacted local authorities and handled it with calm authority. From there, stepping through the grand double gates into the lush, perfectly manicured lawn felt like entering a private estate. Check-in was effortless—we grabbed our key and settled in right away. No need for security concerns; the hosts’ close connections with the police clearly made the property feel safe and well-protected. The room itself was spacious and incredibly comfortable, with a bed so soft it felt like sleeping on a cloud. The smart, nearly invisible window shading added a touch of modern luxury that you barely noticed until you needed it. The bathroom was a standout—private, clean, and spacious, giving us the feeling of having our own personal suite. Even better was the unexpected visit from the Prince of Stockbridge, a passionate foodie whose charm and impeccable haircut were a real treat. It felt like royalty was among us. The hospitality was warm and genuine—so much so that we instantly felt like old friends. We’d give this place four stars out of five for two reasons: first, parking was shockingly expensive, with an unexpected fee tacked on last minute, which made us cancel plans to drive our Rolls-Royce Phantom and instead take the bus (where we ran into those same disruptive students again). Second, breakfast was inconsistent—closed by 8 AM on Friday, 7 AM on Saturday, and not even started when we checked out Sunday morning. To make matters worse, we caught them cooking a fresh, beautiful breakfast right as we were leaving—definitely rubbing it in! Despite those hiccups, our stay was absolutely sensational. The hosts are incredible, the home is charming and thoughtfully designed, and the overall experience felt truly special. Thank you, team, for opening your doors—and your hearts—to us.
Staying at The Roseate Edinburgh was a truly memorable experience. While it didn’t stand out dramatically over our previous night’s accommodation, the unique charm of being housed within a historic castle made all the difference. The atmosphere is quiet and serene—perfect for unwinding after a busy day exploring the city. Rooms were clean, well-appointed, and surprisingly peaceful, with excellent sound insulation. The surrounding area is pleasant too—cozy cafés, local shops, and easy access to public transport make getting around hassle-free. It’s not just a place to sleep; it feels like stepping into a story. Great value, great location, and an unforgettable stay overall.
Staying at The Bonham was an excellent experience overall. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the city center and well-connected by public transit. The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully designed with modern touches. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the breakfast spread was impressive with fresh options including made-to-order eggs—perfect for starting the day. One downside was the 12.5% fee applied to all purchases made through the platform, which felt a bit unexpected and not clearly communicated upfront. Still, despite that, the quality of the hotel, service, and value for money made it worth it. I’d definitely recommend and stay here again.
This Hapimag Resort in Edinburgh was an absolute delight—far beyond what I expected from a city known for pricey accommodations. Located just west of Princes Street, it’s incredibly walkable to shops and attractions, and there’s a fantastic Vietnamese pho spot right nearby that I ended up visiting twice. The room was a spacious suite with a generous seating area, a dedicated wardrobe, and an impressive bathroom—large, immaculate, and beautifully designed, complete with a relaxing whirlpool tub. Despite being on the second basement level, the room had a lovely view of a small hillside and even caught stunning sunset views through the window. It felt bright and airy, not at all damp or gloomy like some other hotels I’ve stayed in. The bed was plush and comfortable, the vanity was practical, and every detail felt thoughtfully curated. The hotel’s interior is wonderfully vintage with artwork from various countries and elegant porcelain displays—truly unique and full of character. Staff were courteous and flexible, always ready to assist. Breakfast isn’t included, but you can pre-order pastries delivered to your room—a nice convenience. Entry requires a key card, which adds a great sense of security. Only note: front desk isn’t staffed 24/7, so try to check in earlier if possible—though they’ll leave a contact number if you’re arriving late. With only 30 suites, this place fills up fast—book ahead! Overall, it’s a hidden gem with exceptional style, comfort, and value. A truly memorable stay.
I can't recommend this place enough. Nestled in the charming Bruntsfield area of Edinburgh, it's just a 20-minute walk through the peaceful Meadow to the city centre—perfect for a relaxed stroll. The property sits at the end of a beautiful row of classic Edinburgh terraced homes and comes with four to five dedicated parking spaces, which is a huge plus. Inside, the house is beautifully decorated in a stylish Anglo-French-Scottish blend that truly reflects the taste of the owner, Lydie—a French native who’s now a proud long-time resident of Scotland. My room was spacious, thoughtfully furnished with a comfortable, generously sized bed, a cozy sofa, and a small window-side table ideal for two. The ensuite bathroom was perfectly sized, and the shower delivered strong, consistently hot water—just what you need after a long day. The entire home was spotless, down to the smallest detail. From the warm hospitality to the impeccable cleanliness and unique character, I’d absolutely stay here again without hesitation.
Staying at the voco Edinburgh - Haymarket was a perfect balance between city convenience and peaceful retreat. The hotel is centrally located, just a short walk from major attractions and a quick subway ride away, yet the rooms are remarkably quiet—thanks to the windows that open slightly and the whisper-quiet air conditioning. Everything in the room felt clean and thoughtfully equipped: tea bags, biscuits, coffee, and even chocolate drinks were available. They even provided slippers in the bathroom, which was a nice touch. The view from the window was stunning, offering a beautiful glimpse of the city skyline. Breakfast was fantastic—plenty of options, including boiled eggs, and authentic Scottish specialties that truly stood out. Dinner was equally impressive, so much so that I decided to have a meal there right before heading to the airport. When I had any questions, the front desk staff responded promptly and with great care. Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations. If I ever return to Edinburgh, I’d absolutely book here again.
Staying at Mercure Edinburgh Haymarket was an absolute pleasure. As a well-known chain, the hotel delivers consistent quality—clean rooms, modern amenities, and friendly staff. The location is unbeatable: just a 10-minute walk to Haymarket Station, making it super easy to hop on the subway for quick access across the city. The airport tram stops right outside the station, so getting to the airport is seamless—just a 15-minute ride with no transfers needed. Plus, major attractions like St. Giles Cathedral and the Royal Mile are all within a 10-minute walk, perfect for exploring on foot. There’s also a bus stop right in front of the hotel, connecting you to key sights without hassle. Whether you're here for sightseeing or business, this hotel offers excellent value, great convenience, and a stress-free stay.
Staying at Tynecastle Park Hotel was a delightful experience from start to finish. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, with an incredibly comfortable bed that made for a restful night’s sleep. Despite being a bit outside the city center, getting to major attractions like Princes Street is easy—just a 20-minute bus ride away, and buses run frequently. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful, making check-in smooth and stress-free. What really stood out was the excellent value for money; you get a high-quality stay without the premium price tag. If you're looking for a quiet, well-maintained hotel in Edinburgh with great convenience and comfort, this one is definitely worth considering.
