The surrounding trails and quiet streets make cycling or walking the best way to get around. The staff went above and beyond—before check-in, they reached out to help with transport tips and followed up afterward to see how we were enjoying our stay. Having a 24/7 concierge was a huge plus. And the breakfast? Fantastic. Since the hotel runs its own Chinese restaurant, the food is fresh, flavorful, and authentic. I was a bit nervous before my trip after reading so many reviews, and originally planned to book two rooms—luckily, I only ended up securing one. Still, I decided to give it a try and called the reservations team. I was connected with Miss Shao Linyang, who was incredibly helpful. Even though we couldn’t secure an additional room, she followed up promptly and made sure every step was communicated clearly. To my surprise, she upgraded my room and even left fresh fruit upon arrival. When I mentioned I’d be traveling with a child, she proactively arranged kid-friendly amenities, and the room came equipped with a mini-bar—thoughtful touches that really stood out. As a long-standing five-star property, the service level is consistently excellent. The location is unbeatable—right next to Wulin Night Market, and just a 10-minute walk to West Lake. On days when traffic restrictions made taxis hard to find, walking became the easiest option. Breakfast was generous in both variety and quality. Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations.
