Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—right next to the train station and metro, just steps away from Wanda City, and super close to Nancheng Street and Kunming Old Town. Everything was spotless, with excellent cleanliness throughout. For the price, the value is outstanding. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kunming.

Yunny Hotel (Kunming Railway Station Wanda Square store)

Staying at Yunny Hotel in Kunming was an absolute delight. The property is beautifully landscaped with lush flowers in full bloom and koi fish swimming peacefully in the pond—such a serene atmosphere. The staff were warm, friendly, and always smiling, making our experience feel genuinely welcoming. They even offered to add extra blankets during our stay, and since we were planning a longer visit, they proactively suggested bringing in a humidifier next time—such thoughtful touches! Laundry facilities are available and well-maintained. Located just steps from the railway station, getting around the city is super convenient. This place truly offers comfort, care, and great value. I’d highly recommend it for both business and leisure travelers.

Atour Hotel, North Square, Kunming Railway Station

Thanks to a friend's recommendation, I stayed at Atour Hotel near Kunming Railway Station and was really impressed—especially the bedding. The pillows are so comfortable that I always ask for the foam ones instead of relying on fancy feather pillows from five-star hotels. We booked a family room with a 1.8m queen bed and a 1.2m single bed—perfect fit for my two daughters, who had plenty of space to sleep comfortably. The outdoor swing was a real highlight; even though we didn’t have much time to play, the kids were thrilled and couldn’t stop smiling. Staying here was ideal for our trip around New Year’s, as it’s just steps away from the train station. We checked out at 8:30 AM and still made our 9:00 train to Dali without rushing—though we originally thought we’d need to leave by 8:15, the extra half hour made all the difference. For families traveling with kids, this kind of flexibility is a big plus!

Mengyoung Hotel (Kunming Vientiane City Dongjiao Road Subway Station)

The location is perfect—just a short walk from major attractions and shopping areas, and the subway station is right nearby. There’s a convenience store right downstairs, which is super convenient for late-night snacks or essentials. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was just the right firmness—comfortable enough to sleep deeply. The shower had excellent water pressure and consistent temperature, making it a relaxing experience after a long day. What truly stood out was the service. The front desk staff went above and beyond by helping me plan my itinerary and even handed me a personalized local dining guide. The hotel itself is quiet and spotless, and the breakfast options downstairs were plentiful and delicious. Everything about this stay felt thoughtfully done. It’s a fantastic value with warm hospitality—highly recommend for anyone visiting Kunming.
