This place is absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, everything felt so welcoming and special. Our room, Egypt, was stunning — a breathtaking ocean view, a private porch perfect for morning coffee, a hot tub, and comfy outdoor loungers. The cleanliness and attention to detail were top-notch. Breakfast was an experience: fresh fruit, daily rotating yogurt flavors, granola, and that famous coffee served in traditional clay mugs — pure joy. And then came Tatiana’s personal touch — her delicious final breakfast course was unforgettable. Just one block from El Malecón, it’s easy to walk down and hop on a pulmonía or araña to explore the city. But the real highlight? Tatiana herself. She’s not just the owner — she’s a local guide, friend, and tour planner all in one. She arranged a fantastic trip to El Quelite at a great price, including a delicious meal. Gustavo joined us too — warm, fun, and full of insider knowledge. They made us feel like family. The property is secure, beautifully maintained, and incredibly peaceful. You come here as a guest… and leave as a friend. If you’re visiting Mazatlán, this is the only place to stay.
Everything was perfect during my stay here—truly a standout experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The room was immaculate, spacious, and beautifully designed with a modern yet cozy touch. I especially appreciated the excellent soundproofing, which made for a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel’s location is ideal—just a short walk from local restaurants and attractions, and easily accessible by public transit. The spa was an absolute highlight; the massage therapist was skilled and attentive, leaving me completely relaxed. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Mazatlán. It’s not just a hotel—it’s a retreat. Can’t wait to come back soon!
Despite some aged facilities, it's understandable given the hotel's over 80-year history. The location is nearly perfect—most of the Old Town attractions are just a short walk away, and the ocean views are absolutely stunning. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the stay feel warm and personal. Breakfast isn't overly elaborate, but the dining area is cozy and comfortable, perfect for starting the day right. The only minor downside is that weekend evenings can get noisy from music on the street in front—definitely noticeable if you're light sleeper. Still, this doesn't take away from an overall fantastic experience. Great value, great atmosphere, and a memorable stay that I’d happily repeat.
My seven-night stay at The Melville Boutique Hotel was absolutely perfect — a dream come true. I’ve wanted to visit this place for years, and it exceeded every expectation. Suite 18, also known as the Juan Ocon Suite, was spacious, beautifully renovated, and thoughtfully preserved its historic charm. The kitchenette was ideal for preparing light meals and breakfasts. The king-sized bed was incredibly comfortable, and my husband and I slept soundly throughout Carnival, thanks to our foam earplugs. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind — especially the housekeeper who cleaned our suite daily with a smile that lit up the room. The second-floor terrace overlooking the lush courtyard became our favorite spot for afternoon naps, surrounded by greenery and blooming bougainvilleas. The birdsong at dawn and dusk added a magical touch to the peaceful atmosphere. Located right in the heart of Centro Histórico, we were steps away from Plaza Machada and the Malecón. It was such a thoughtful gesture to provide a 19-liter jug of drinking water in the room — very convenient and appreciated. I truly wish we could have stayed longer. This hotel is a gem. Highly recommended for anyone seeking authenticity, comfort, and a memorable experience.
Staying at this hotel in the golden zone was an absolute delight. Even though we only spent one night, the experience was unforgettable. The Hacienda Mazatlán Sea View truly lives up to its reputation—elegant, comfortable, and impeccably maintained. Our room had a stunning ocean view that made waking up every morning a joy. The staff were warm and attentive without being intrusive, and the location is perfect—just steps away from local restaurants, shops, and the beach. It’s rare to find a property that offers such luxury and comfort at this level, especially for a short stay. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mazatlán. This isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s a true getaway.
I’d read some really negative reviews about Casa Barros beforehand—complaints about poor communication, needing to enter through the parking lot at night, and the property being nothing like the photos. But my experience was actually fantastic! The two front desk staff members were incredibly attentive and helpful throughout my stay. I could come and go anytime, which was a big plus. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and well-equipped with everything I needed—air conditioning works perfectly, there’s a working iron, washer, and dryer, all in great condition. The only small note: no dish soap or cleaning supplies were provided, so you’ll need to bring your own. That said, it’s not a dealbreaker. The hotel is conveniently located near the main square and just a 15-minute walk from the city center. I stayed in September, which is off-season, but the service was still top-notch. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Honestly, this place exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-maintained apartment-style stay with friendly staff and good value, I highly recommend Casa Barros.
The view from the hotel to the beach was absolutely breathtaking! Every morning I woke up to the sound of waves and the sight of endless blue ocean—it felt like paradise. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the beach and close to great restaurants and local shops. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I can't wait to come back again—this place truly exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a relaxing coastal getaway with stunning views and a peaceful vibe, this is it.
Staying at Hotel Santa Barbara was an absolute delight—literally steps away from the beach, making it perfect for morning walks or sunset views. The location is unbeatable, and the hotel itself felt clean, welcoming, and well-maintained. Staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It’s rare to find such a peaceful, convenient stay with such a great vibe. I’d happily return in a heartbeat.
The Soho Apartments are in a great location—just two blocks from the beach and surrounded by restaurants, convenience stores, ATMs, and a pharmacy. It’s super convenient and feels safe overall. The building has an elevator and electronic door locks, though it took a bit of trial and error to figure out how to get the keypad to display properly. Self-parking was straightforward and hassle-free. We had no issues with theft during our stay. There’s ongoing construction nearby (common throughout the area), but it didn’t interfere with our experience. However, the property is situated between two event centers—La Ferro Jardín and Atlantis Event Centre—which played loud music until around 1 a.m. on three separate nights. That said, the room we stayed in (Room #9) didn’t match the photos: the kitchen has wood cabinets but lacks the chandelier, coffee table, and artwork seen in the listing. Peeling paint near the windows and less-than-pristine cleanliness were noticeable. We also experienced two water pump issues over two days—no running water at the tap or flushing capability for the toilet—but each time, the problem was resolved within four hours, which was appreciated. Room #9 had a broken shower hot water valve, so we ended up turning off the main hot water supply to stop the flow. Getting extra linens required proving we had two adults booked, which added a small inconvenience. Notably, there was no hairdryer provided, even after asking. Gabriela, the property manager, was polite and responsive whenever we reached out. The rooftop patio includes a charcoal grill (you bring your own supplies), but there are no tables, chairs, or loungers—making it hard to relax up there. In short, the location is excellent and very handy, but the noise from events and some inconsistencies in room quality and amenities do take away from the experience. Still, if you value proximity to the beach and local spots, it’s a decent option—just manage expectations.
The manager was incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment I arrived—she made me feel right at home and truly attentive throughout my stay. Every staff member I interacted with was warm and professional, and the property itself is beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, and everything works perfectly. It’s clear that attention to detail is a top priority here. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’ll definitely be returning soon—thank you for such an exceptional stay!
Absolutely recommend this gem of a hotel! Located just steps from the scenic malecón, it's perfect for soaking in the coastal vibe. The property itself is beautifully designed with an artistic flair, and the views from the rooms are breathtaking—especially at sunrise. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making our stay truly memorable. It’s a hidden treasure with an unbeatable combination of charm, comfort, and value. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.
This place is absolutely perfect! It’s my top pick in Mazatlán, and I can’t recommend it enough. The apartment was beautifully designed with a lovely blend of historic charm and modern comforts. My room had two bathrooms, three beds, a cozy living area, Netflix, a small kitchen, and a private patio with a washer/dryer and a dining table—so convenient for longer stays. The building itself has such character, with elegant flooring and thoughtful details throughout. Best of all, it’s located just a 5-minute walk from the historic district, and you’re only 3-4 blocks away from both the beach and the lively Olas Altas area. Perfect location, incredible value, and exceptional service—this is exactly what I look for in a stay. I’ll definitely be back!
