The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering a wide variety of options, including authentic local favorites like lamb stewed bread (yang rou pao mo), meat-filled buns (rou jia mo), Biangbiang noodles, and Zengao. Plus, the garden features two gorgeous peacocks that stroll around peacefully—perfect for photos. The room itself was spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable, with soft bedding and complimentary sleep aids like herbal pillows and sachets. They also provided little kid-sized slippers, which my children loved. Room service was prompt, and everything arrived quickly. The breakfast buffet was delicious, but I have to say the fried eggs were absolutely outstanding—perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, soft inside. The hotel has a free parking lot, which made exploring the city by car super convenient. We were disappointed we couldn’t get tickets to the Shaanxi History Museum—it’s notoriously hard to book—but the front desk staff immediately suggested some great alternative attractions that were perfect for families. I ended up staying four nights in a row and never once considered switching—this place truly exceeded all expectations. When I first booked, I had planned to stay just one night and switch if the experience wasn’t great, but after that first evening, I knew I’d be sticking around. The location is fantastic—right in the heart of the action with countless authentic Xi’an street food options just steps away. It’s only a 5-minute walk to the Huan Guang Gate Wall, and nearby Xiananmen Morning Market was closed during our visit (a bit disappointing), but getting to Sa Jin Qiao by taxi cost just the base fare. Despite being tucked into a lively alleyway, the guesthouse is remarkably quiet—perfect for a restful stay. Our family room was spacious, with a cozy balcony perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring. We were stuck indoors due to constant rain throughout the National Day holiday, so we couldn’t visit many attractions—but honestly, we didn’t mind at all. The atmosphere here made it feel like home. The host, a kind young man, went above and beyond with his warmth and attention to detail. I’m truly sorry if my kids caused any disturbance to other guests—I appreciate your understanding. If I ever return to Xi’an, this will absolutely be my top choice again. A gem hidden in plain sight.

What truly stood out was the location: walking distance to both Tang Paradise and the lively Night City area. I spent my days exploring the beautiful gardens of Tang Paradise and evenings enjoying vibrant street lights, live performances, and local food stalls in the Night City. After a full day of sightseeing, strolling back to the hotel felt peaceful and effortless. Easy access to public transit made everything even more convenient. This is definitely a top choice for anyone visiting Xi’an.

Breakfast was fantastic—daily rotating menu with fresh, diverse options that kept us excited every morning. My parents especially loved the afternoon tea service; after a long day of exploring, returning to a cozy corner with a warm drink and light bites was pure bliss. Platinum wan'ao Victory Hotel

Our 8-day self-drive trip across Shaanxi ended with a stay at Platinum Wan'ao Victory Hotel in Xi'an, and overall, it was an excellent choice. The location is incredibly convenient—right across from Hepingmen Metro Station, just a 50-meter walk away, making public transit access seamless for exploring the city. The hotel faces the ancient city wall directly, and it’s only about a 1.7-kilometer stroll to Yongning Gate if you want to walk along the wall—a pleasant way to enjoy the historic surroundings. Upon check-in, the front desk proactively upgraded us to a larger room, which made a big difference: spacious enough to comfortably unpack and move around, and ideal for family travel. Cleanliness was spot-on, meeting standard expectations without any issues. One minor drawback is the parking situation—being a multi-level garage, it’s not the most user-friendly, especially for larger vehicles, though my compact car navigated it easily. Breakfast was decent but not particularly impressive by luxury hotel standards—nothing overly elaborate, and we didn’t receive a third breakfast for our parents, which was slightly disappointing since this was one of only two hotels on the entire trip that didn’t offer it. Still, considering the excellent location, helpful staff, room comfort, and overall value, it’s hard not to give high praise. For travelers prioritizing convenience and a solid base in central Xi’an, this hotel is a strong recommendation.

The bedding was plush and fresh with no strange odors, and the housekeeping staff were consistently attentive—daily cleaning, plus a second tidy-up in the evening, which made a big difference. The staff on the executive floor were especially memorable: warm, patient, and genuinely thoughtful. They greeted my child by name each time and even brought over two small packs of chips just because he liked them—such a sweet, personal touch. The executive lounge snacks were also excellent—on our first night, when we were rushing to get ready, I stopped by for a quick bite. There was a good variety of options, and everything felt fresh and well-curated. Location-wise, this hotel is unbeatable—just across from the Tang Paradise Garden, a short walk to the lively Tang Dynasty Night Market, and close to Qujiang Book City. Everything is pedestrian-friendly, which is perfect for exploring the area at your own pace. The concierge at the lobby was outstanding—professional, efficient, and clearly experienced. A few words were enough for him to understand exactly what I needed, living up to the Gold Key reputation. Overall, while it might not be the flashiest hotel in town, the service quality ranks among the top I've experienced. It’s calm, respectful, and deeply considerate—everyone knows their role and executes it flawlessly. That level of consistency is rare. One small suggestion: please extend breakfast service a bit longer. We arrived around 10:30, and the serving station had already been cleared—plates and tongs were gone—even though food was still available. It left latecomers stranded without tools to serve themselves. A minor fix, but would make a big difference. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!

Staying at The Westin Xi'an was an absolute highlight of my trip to Xi'an. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the iconic Great Wild Goose Pagoda and the vibrant Datang Fubu Night Market. Whether you're out late enjoying the nightlife or heading out early for sightseeing, everything is within easy reach. Nearby shopping malls offer plenty of options for retail therapy, and it's super convenient to visit major attractions like the Terracotta Warriors and Huaqing Palace. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with a stunning atrium filled with ginkgo trees—perfectly golden during autumn, creating a breathtaking atmosphere. Despite being in the heart of the city, the place is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Cleanliness is top-notch, and the breakfast buffet offers a fantastic variety of both Western and Chinese dishes—all fresh and delicious. The staff are warm, attentive, and always ready to help. I was especially impressed by the complimentary museum exhibition on the lower level, which adds a cultural touch to the stay. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a memorable experience. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back.
