We booked this Atour Hotel for the Yu Hongming concert at the Grand Gold Barrel, and it turned out to be a perfect choice. The room had one large bed and one smaller one—ideal for a family of three. While there are plenty of hotels nearby, this one’s just a short 3-kilometer ride from Gongshu Sports Center—easy to get to by taxi in minutes. We also took the chance to visit the ancient Congchen Bridge and stroll along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, which is conveniently close. Best of all, the hotel has a free underground parking lot right at the entrance—super convenient if you're driving. The rooms and lobby are clean, bright, and thoughtfully designed with a minimalist touch. Everything felt fresh and welcoming. Overall, the value for money is excellent. I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to Hangzhou.

Staying at The Nook Hotel Hangzhou felt like stepping into a peaceful retreat with a minimalist, Muji-inspired vibe. The upgraded room was absolutely dreamy—my favorite part was soaking in the bathtub while gazing out at the serene mountain view through the floor-to-ceiling glass. Natural light floods in, and the open-air balcony with lush greenery outside made every moment feel calming and refreshing. Getting there was easy—just a short walk from the metro station, following clear signs up a few steps and along a tree-lined path flanked by towering gingko and sycamore trees. You’ll spot the hotel right at the corner of a quiet street. It’s just one stop from Tianmu Li, which is perfect for a full day of exploring: art exhibitions, shopping, great cafes, and Instagram-worthy architecture and nature shots. A few stops further, you can visit Zhejiang University, wetlands, or botanical gardens—all within easy reach. And if you want to head into downtown, it’s only six stops away. Super convenient! The staff were warm and attentive, and the breakfast spread was generous and delicious. Definitely worth waking up early for!

Northern Wenlan Hangzhou Hotel

Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. From the moment we stepped through the door, the stunning Song Dynasty-inspired entrance captivated our attention—perfectly reflecting Hangzhou’s rich cultural heritage as the former Southern Song capital. The location is unbeatable: just a short walk to a shopping mall, and only 300 meters from Line 10 of the metro, making city exploration effortless. The brochure at the front desk was well-organized and easy to follow, and the friendly staff even pointed out that the hotel is nestled right beside the ancient canal—a lovely touch. Everything about this stay felt thoughtfully designed, from the ambiance to the service. With such great value and a prime spot in a historic district, I’ll definitely be coming back. Staying at Shangri-La Hangzhou was an absolute delight from start to finish. The hotel exudes luxury and elegance, perfectly positioned right by West Lake—just a short walk to the water’s edge where you can enjoy peaceful strolls or take a boat ride whenever you feel like it. Nearby attractions like Yue Wang Temple and Gushan Island are easily accessible, making it ideal for exploring the area. The service here is exceptional—friendly, attentive, and professional. I appreciated the complimentary parking, though I did note the local odd-even license plate restrictions, so plan accordingly if driving. Rooms are immaculate, spotless, and beautifully designed with modern comforts. It’s worth mentioning that this property was formerly known as Hangzhou Hotel, a historic landmark on Beishan Road, now revitalized under the Shangri-La brand—a perfect blend of heritage and world-class hospitality. With great value for money and such a prime location, this is one of the best stays in Hangzhou I’ve experienced.
