Staying at Shangri-La Guilin was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Our guest host Emily went above and beyond—she reached out in advance to learn about our preferences and even prepared thoughtful little amenities for our child. The housekeeping staff, Jongche, was incredibly attentive, personally escorting us to our room and giving a detailed walk-through of the hotel’s facilities with genuine warmth. The room itself beautifully blends modern comfort with traditional northern Guangxi charm—our bed was so cozy we slept like babies all night. But the real highlight? The evening view: as dusk fell, the river lights gently lit up the scene outside our window, turning the Li River into a shimmering canvas. Absolutely breathtaking. Breakfast was fantastic—wide variety, delicious quality—and the local beer fish at the Chinese restaurant was authentic and mouthwatering. Pool attendant Tang Jundong was patient and welcoming, guiding us straight to the pool area with a smile. Every touch felt personal, every service thoughtful. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a home away from home. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back.

Staying at Lijiang Waterfall Hotel in Guilin was an absolutely delightful experience. Breakfast started early at 6:30 AM, which was perfect for those of us planning to hit the city early. It was abundant and offered a good mix of local and international options. The evening waterfall show was breathtaking—colorful lights dancing with water, creating a magical atmosphere. I was also pleasantly surprised by the complimentary osmanthus cake delivered to my room—a sweet little touch that added charm to the stay. The front desk staff, especially Xiao Mei, was incredibly helpful and professional. She answered every question about parking, dining, and nearby attractions clearly and efficiently, showing real dedication to guest satisfaction. Absolutely loved staying at this hotel—location couldn’t be better, right by the Rong Lake with a peaceful view from the lobby. It was delicious, juicy, and full of flavor, and everyone back home raved about it when we brought some back. The affordability here really stands out—food and services feel so budget-friendly without sacrificing quality. That said, there’s ongoing construction near the river path, so I’d recommend checking with the hotel staff for the best route before heading out. Service truly stands out—the front desk team was warm and welcoming, with a gentleman even helping carry my luggage after parking. Plus, a dedicated concierge is available 24/7; any request or question was answered almost instantly. It’s rare to find such thoughtful hospitality combined with modern comfort. This place offers incredible value and made our stay in Guilin unforgettable.

I booked a room without noticing it had no windows, but when I checked in, the front desk staff kindly upgraded me to a larger room with a view. That little surprise made my stay even more enjoyable! The lobby is spacious and well-designed, so even during peak times, there's never a feeling of crowding. Noise insulation is excellent—no disturbances from neighboring rooms or hallways at all, which made for a peaceful night’s sleep. I arrived from the train station in the evening, and it was only a short walk away. The location is fantastic—close to Liangjiang Sihu scenic area and surrounded by local charm, restaurants, and walking paths. Within just 10 minutes, I was at the iconic Elephant Trunk Hill, with the Golden and Silver Towers of Li River's Two Rivers and Four Lakes just across the river—perfect for evening walks. Everything I wanted was within easy reach, and the convenience of transportation couldn’t be better. Plus, they even handed out local souvenirs as a sweet gesture. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful—they greeted me with a warm smile, offered local tips, and even assisted with luggage without being asked. What really stood out was the value for money. Universal international hotel (Guilin Liangjiang Sihu Elephant Trunk Mountain Branch)

Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight from start to finish. Located just steps away from Xiao Yao Tower, it’s incredibly easy to find—just walk down from Jiefang Bridge and you’re there. The entrance is clearly marked, making arrival stress-free. Upon check-in, we were warmly greeted with a refreshing loquat tea, a small but thoughtful touch. The room view? Absolutely unbeatable. From the window, you get a perfect sightline of Xiao Yao Tower and the serene Li River, especially magical in the morning light. I spent hours just sitting by the window soaking in the scenery—pure bliss. The bed was a massive king size, easily over three meters long, and incredibly comfortable. Everything you’d expect is included: free access to all major TV channels, clean and modern amenities. The bathroom features disposable slippers and reusable ones that can get wet, plus a smart toilet with automatic flushing. One minor note—the shower area shares space with the toilet and lacks a door or curtain, so water tends to splash out. That said, the overall space feels spacious and well-designed. There’s a 24-hour laundry service on-site with both washing and drying options, and they even offer complimentary room service for laundry pickup and delivery. Breakfast was a highlight—huge variety, great taste, and I finally got to try authentic Guilin rice noodles. Eating up on the 7th-floor restaurant while looking out at Xiao Yao Tower felt like a scene from a postcard. Special thanks to our personal host, Xiao Fu, whose attentive and friendly service made all the difference. She was always available, anticipated needs before we even asked, and helped make our trip unforgettable. If I ever return to Guilin, this will be my first choice without hesitation.
