Walking around at night felt vibrant and alive, with great vibes everywhere. I even made time to hike up Yuelu Mountain—the weather was perfect, and the views were breathtaking. To top it off, I was upgraded to a Deluxe River View King Room, which offered breathtaking views of the river and city skyline. The room itself was immaculate, with luxurious bedding that made for an incredibly comfortable night’s sleep. Every detail reflected genuine care and attention. From warm hospitality to thoughtful touches, this hotel truly exceeded expectations. I can’t wait to return—the service, ambiance, and overall experience were outstanding.

Grand Hyatt Changsha

Staying at Grand Hyatt Changsha was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location is unbeatable—everything we wanted to see was either a short subway ride away or just a quick walk. We easily reached Yuelu Mountain and Orange Isle by metro, while Du Fu's Pavilion was literally across the street. It only took about 20 minutes to get to East Square, making it perfect for exploring the city without hassle. Around the hotel, there’s no shortage of great food and shopping—two convenient Haidilao locations within walking distance, and even Cha Yan Yue Se was just steps away. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with a calm, elegant atmosphere. Every staff member we met was warm, professional, and genuinely helpful. Special thanks to Tina Yu Ting from the Guest Services Lounge who made our check-in experience so smooth—she was especially attentive to our elderly family members and our kids, even gifting them little welcome treats. Our riverside room offered stunning views, and the natural light flooded in during the day, making every moment feel special. There’s also a unique collaboration store with the Provincial Museum—my kids loved browsing through the themed souvenirs, which were reasonably priced and perfect as gifts. The pool temperature was ideal for children, and they had a blast playing around. Breakfast was fantastic too—diverse options that catered to all tastes, with a strong focus on healthy eating. Unfortunately, due to our packed itinerary, we didn’t get to try the hotel’s dining venues beyond a lovely afternoon tea and a satisfying evening buffet. Still, the overall experience was outstanding. If we ever return to Changsha, this will be our first choice again.

Location-wise, it’s unbeatable: just a short walk to Wuyi Square, perfect for exploring the city or grabbing some local street food. I highly recommend trying either the century-old Fire Palace stinky tofu or tangyuan (sugar oil dumplings)—both are delicious and totally worth the stop. Laundry was picked up, cleaned, and returned to my room with no extra charge. And the breakfast? Open until 1 PM! I woke up at 11 and had plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely meal. This was my third stay at Yijian, and my kids are already devoted fans—they never want to leave! Stepping out the door feels like entering a quiet, artistic alleyway that instantly transports you into the soul of old Changsha. Walking to Wuyi Square, Taiping Street, and IFS Center is effortless—everything is within easy reach. The room is minimalist yet elegant, with incredibly soft bedding that makes it hard to get out of bed in the morning. The toiletries smell amazing and work beautifully—my bathroom even smelled fresh afterward. The front desk staff were so friendly and went out of their way to recommend hidden local gems perfect for photography and exploration. Breakfast was free and included a wide variety of options—especially loved the rich, aromatic coffee. The value for money is outstanding. Don’t miss the Su Xiang Night Food scene—it’s lively and delicious. I also booked the professional one-on-one 30-minute photo session, which turned out beautifully and captured our trip memories perfectly. Everything about this stay was exceptional—highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be back.

Park Hyatt Changsha

I was genuinely surprised by how great Park Hyatt Changsha turned out to be. The staff went above and beyond with their warm, friendly service—always smiling, greeting guests with genuine hospitality, and making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The breakfast spread was impressive, with a wide variety of options and good quality across the board. I was pleasantly upgraded to a higher room category and even received a late check-out until 2 PM—such a nice touch! The only minor downside was that the room felt a bit stuffy and warm, possibly due to the air conditioning being set too high. Also, no spa or wellness center on-site, which would’ve been a great addition. But overall, this is an exceptional stay with outstanding service and value. I’d definitely return and recommend it to others.
